Mercure London Earls Court

The hotel is joint with Ibis, accor group. The only difference is flooring separation. Checked in was easy and straightforward. Stayed here for 8 nights with breakfast. It’s a new hotel, no review yet from google. The hotel is walking distance to station West Brompton, which allow you to transport to city area within 10 mins. Limited option of restaurants near by, and it took about 15mins of walk to nearest tesco express. First 2 days experience really bad, it was warm in the evening, the centralised air conditioning temperature cant be adjust in my room, even I tried open the windows. Raised my concerns to front desk( that’s another area of improvement l, no phone in the room) and they send technician to serving the machine next day. The breakfast repeated exactly the same for 8 days, which don’t impress me much, standard western breakfast of choice. There is bus stop front of the hotel, can lead you to nearest Fulham cross and Hammersmith road.

Excellent service, but the free wifi seems plainly unsafe (to the point of receiving warnings of malicious traffic). Otherwise, the breakfast was varied and delicious, the rooms were great and my general experience was really positive.

There is most certainly a rising star at the recently refurbished with high quality design and finish at the branded MERCURE Earls Court. It’s a joint hotel with Ibis so those guest can benefit too. The welcoming decor is bright cheerful with some delightful touches like the mood lighting in the rooms to replenishing drinks in the fridge on a daily basis. Thank you ever so much Carmen and your splendid housekeepers Mara and Suitlong. Barnsbys restaurant was well laid out and the eclectic breakfast offerings were so mouthwatering with our efficient and welcoming host Anna. I made the booking via the Accor APP. Accor provide direct management control and franchise contract of which this hotel is one under their portfolio. I paid in full upfront only to see a couple of days later the price had come down by £134. I raised this matter with Accor customer care who dismissed the matter. Thanked me for my KIND UNDERSTANDING for me loosing £134. I leave the reader to come to their own conclusions. I won’t name the individual because I wish the whole customer care team at Accor to reflect and consider matters being a dedicated loyal DIAMOND member how to deal with its guests both in terms of the issue and patronising words used. I would add Supriya The Guest Relations Manager from Nepal was the true STAR. She has such grace empathy understanding and came to my assistance to smooth waters and provide a memorable and happy stay. Notwithstanding the above issue the Hotel commands an excellent location, next door to a tube station with outstanding staff this is truly a 5 Star hotel within 4 Stars. Thank you all most sincerely.
