I stayed at Travelodge London Docklands for three weeks during the Christmas and New Year period—a time that is meant to be joyful, but for me, it was anything but. My home had flooded, and the experience was incredibly traumatic. Being displaced during the holidays was overwhelming, but the kindness and care I received from the staff at this hotel made a huge difference in my life during that difficult time. A special thank you to Rasheed, who served me every morning at breakfast. He was exceptionally polite, kind, caring, and thoughtful. Every single morning, he greeted me with warmth, always ensuring I had everything I needed. His friendly demeanour and genuine concern for guests made a real impact. During such a stressful period in my life, his kindness helped me start each day on a positive note. I also want to express my gratitude to Omolola Oluyemi, who was around towards the end of my stay. She was also incredibly polite and kind, always making sure I felt welcome and at ease. Though I only met her later in my stay, her warmth stood out. The level of care and attentiveness from both Rasheed and Omolola went above and beyond. What could have been an entirely miserable and isolating experience was made so much easier thanks to their kindness. I can’t thank them enough for their support during such a challenging time. Travelodge is lucky to have them! I hope their hard work and exceptional customer service are recognised. Would definitely recommend staying here—not just for the accommodation, but for the amazing people working here.
