Friendly staff and a comfortable room mean that I would consider staying here again. Although the bedroom was on the small side, it was spotless and the bed was comfortable. Small en suite shower room was more than adequate for my needs. But the room was noisy, with sounds from the bar and bedroom carrying through the floor. This didn't bother me, but it might be a concern to others. Good wifi, but nowhere to work - there wasn't a desk in the bedroom, and the tables in the restaurant and bar don't have adjacent electrical sockets. TV in bedroom was adequate, but the reception on some channels was intermittent. Good beer in the bar, good bar food and hearty breakfast

Family meal to celebrate our son’s birthday- the most delicious food - every dish for all 5 of us was excellent! Starters whitebait, baked Brie and garlic mushrooms were fantastic! All the burgers and fish & chips superb! Staff here couldn’t do more - outstanding friendly service and made an extra fuss of our teenager whose birthday we were celebrating- thank you guys for making it special- can’t recommend this pub enough!!

We really enjoyed our food at the Royal Oak. I had booked ahead, unseen. It’s a great pub with live music. We dined in the restaurant. I had truly one of the best steaks, my daughter chose from the childrens menu, she is 15 but it was plenty. Really good beer and great service. The staff were friendly and approachable. Loved it.

I was in Lostwithiel for a weekend with friends, we popped in to the Royal Oak for drinks on the Friday evening and returned many times during our stay. The pub is beautiful, the beer garden is beautiful, the food is great - I had the gammon, it was perfect. I don't know how I did it but I managed to squeeze in a cherry crumble for afters, it was so good!! The staff - Ciaran really stood out, he was friendly, kind and engaging, he seems to genuinely love his job. The rest of the staff there didn't get annoyed by me asking for cups of tea all the time, I don't drink and I often find that people roll their eyes if you ask for a hot drink in a pub... I didn't stay at the Royal Oak, but ended up spending a lot of my time there. Having seen the rooms on the website I'll definitely book a stay soon. It is a very friendly, welcoming place. Graham and Simon are doing an amazing job, I loved it.

Brilliant place. Staff are so friendly and helpful. Food was amazing. Hotel room very comfortable. Will definitely be staying again. I am so glad I chose the Royal Oak to stay for my first visit alone. The staff made every effort to ensure a comfortable stay. They went above and beyond to help. I stayed bed and breakfast at the Royal Oak and I have to admit I wasn't at all disappointed. The menu caters for everyone's choice. The rooms are light and airy with lovely white bedding and towels.

Group of 11 for my daughters 4th birthday, fantastic afternoon from start too finish. Food was great, staff were amazing m, especially leanne who went out of her way too make the afternoon great, always on hand for drinks when needing topping up. Great food, great staff and great value for money. One of if not the best around for value for money . Thanks royal oak 😘

Sunday Lunch food was lovely but staff were surly no conversation owners no better all very rude as for parking going to end up with £100 fine as I wasn’t told I had to put my registration number in told by owner if I took my comments back about rude and surly staff he would look at cancelling my fine when I said I wouldn’t was told one favour deserved another so the parking fine would stand Beware of this place

We have had the busiest of times recently so decided we would find a bolthole to escape to for a night. Great welcome and a fantastic atmosphere. We ate too much of your good food and sampled way too many of your delicious drinks! Bedroom was comfortable and cosy. Everything we needed. Thank you both. We will be back!
