Hotel Schlüssel

酒店位置非常好，我們一早兩小時步行遊覽盧塞恩，陽台推窗就是教堂的尖頂。小小的，像是家庭旅店，鑰匙是留在前台桌子上的信封裏，沒有工作人員提供其它諮詢服務。房間沒有空調，半夜熱醒才發現有個台式風扇。總體來説性價比不高，沒睡好

很棒的酒店，看得出很有歷史的酒店，服務很專業，這裏的餐廳很火呢

In August 2023, I booked two rooms in Hotel Schlüssel established 1545 for May 2024. This reservation was confirmed immediately by email, and re-confirmed by email in January 2024 by the manager and host. When we arrived In May, the taxi driver dropped us off, opened the door to the hotel in Franziskanerplatz, and kindly helped set our luggage in the hall. Then we discovered the hotel was empty and closed. Permanently, it seemed. No one was there. We phoned the hotel telephone number, and heard a phone ring somewhere in the building. We never received any notice of the closing, before or since. When we arrived, it was a rainy Sunday afternoon during a holiday weekend. We had come on an overseas flight that morning to Zurich, and taken the train to Lucerne. There were signs in the hotel hallway in Swiss saying "Don't walk on the floor." We set out around the neighborhood to find someone to ask what was going on with the hotel. We found Hotel Wilde Mann around the corner. They had no openings, but very obligingly found us two rooms at the Cascada Hotel. This was very helpful since due to the holiday weekend, hotels were quite busy. The people at Hotel Wilde Mann called a car for us, and truly came to our rescue. We were very grateful. It was shocking to me that Hotel Schlüssel, after over 450 years, managed to close between January and May. I've fortunately enjoyed the opportunity to travel to many places and this was a first. By the way, the people at Hotel Wilde Mann called ahead to Cascada Hotel, and that turned to be a very pleasant stay.

Made reservations for this hotel several months ago. The morning of our arrival date I checked the website for parking instructions and lo and behold discovered that they are closed! Apparently the previous hotel operator went bankrupt. They did not inform me at all. Fortunately I was able to book reservations at a very nice hotel near by. New owners are renovating and plan to open June 1.

We were so excited to stay in Boutique Hotel Schlussel seit 1545 because it looked like just the right place for us. However, that's not what ended up happening. Hotel cancelled all reservations unexpectedly because they are unable to honour them. No explanation.
