Best prijzig voor zo'n hotelkamer. Het was een kleine kamer met een badkamer en toilet. Badkamer hangt alles scheef. Handoekenrekje hing uit de schroeven. Douche was vies van de kalk muren kon wel een verfje gebruiken. Hoofdsteun van het bed is kapot het leder was gebladderd. Het sprei op het bed was smoezelig. Bij de voordeur de deurklink was kapot als je er langs loopt moet je uitkijken dat je kleding niet kapot gaat. Erg duur voor zo'n kamer. Ontbijt was prijzig pp was wel lekker. Personeel is aardig. Voordeel je zit vlakbij het centrum van Maastricht

COVID-19 has caused us all one way or another losses and hardship but to find a hotel like easyHotel Maastricht City Centre makes me contribute to recovering their losses is not expected and unfair. Booking.com made the reservation with easyHotel Maastricht in November 2019 before COVID-19 arrived, for 2 nights in July 2020 as we were attending an Andre Rieu concert which was then postponed. I followed the directions and recommendations of the ECC Net to act in good faith with contributing to the survival of suppliers, however easyHotel sadly didn’t follow the Unfair Contract Terms Directive 93/13/EEC and Pursuant to Book 6, article 265 of the Dutch Civil Code. The concert was rescheduled to July 2021 and Booking.com did reschedule the hotel dates however COVID-19 again cancelled the concert and the concert was changed to July 2022 but Booking.com didn’t answer my requests and I had no option but to contact easyHotel which did reschedule the date.but now my wife has had to have chemotherapy and a stem cell transplant. The treatment was in October 2021 and expected to be completed in December 2021 and we still planned to come to the Netherlands after receiving all her previous and current vaccines but in May the hospital told us that she was immunocompromised and despite receiving three COVID-19 vaccines and would still need hospital treatment plus it was too dangerous to travel due to COVID-19. The concert couldn’t transfer the tickets to July 2023 and offered a refund but easyHotel couldn’t change the date and refused to refund. Even when I had found a couple who were wanting to take over the reservation, a day before the reservation, easyHotel didn’t reply to an email I'd sent until mid afternoon of the day of the booking, too late for the couple as they had found another hotel Let something positive come out of this virus and support the hotels, travel insurances and other business that followed the guidelines by working with their customers and report business and hotels like easyHotel and Booking.com which feel that travellers should pay for their losses and can’t be trusted to do the right thing. Also didn’t receive any help after requesting a voucher from Booking.com. My initial flights from Australia to the Netherlands for 2 was AU$2500 in 2020 and this year now costs about AU$8200 so we have losses too but I don’t expect easyHotel to pay for it. Anyone who have still not received a refund from easyHotel or easyHotelbenelux and is interested to commence a class action please message me. Please help travellers by adding your hotel to the list. A beautiful place to stay - friendly, welcoming staff, a spacious room and an excellent breakfast. We stayed for 4 nights in April/May and were sorry to leave! We arrived around 10pm - later than expected due to delays on the train from Brussels - and checked in at the nearby Hotel Grote Gracht as the Sint Jacob is only open for check-in to 4pm. Everything went very smoothly and it was just a short walk between the 2 hotels. The room was very comfortable and nicely furnished, including a fridge and coffee maker. The bathroom was also spacious, with a good shower and plenty of hot water. The breakfast was excellent with the offer of bacon and eggs cooked individually for you. A wonderful range of fresh bread, sweet pastries, different cereals and muesli, fresh fruit, cheese and meat. We would definitely recommend this as a good place to stay in the historic centre of Maastricht.

We are going to a big concert in Maastricht in july (2023), where lots of people will be attending, so I booked this hotel on *********** since they offered a superb location and at the same time cheaper price that other hotels for the specific date. Half an hour after receiving confirmation of the reservation per mail and a welcome mail from the hotel itself, I was called from the reception at the hotel and told that they had no rooms available on the date that I wanted. Apparently they had made a mistake with their ”availability on *********** so now they had to cancel guests”. The excuse came across as odd to me because all other hotels in Maastricht at that specific date had higher prices than them on ***********, so I got a sense that they just forgot to adapt their prices on the site, and now the revenue management suddenly realised that they could get much more for their rooms due to the big number of guests coming to town for the concert. The concert dates was announced a week earlier, so they had plenty of time to adapt either availability or prices it would seem. But now, I have to cancel my booking and go for the higher priced hotels because the options are now super limited. So they cost me money basically due to their poor handling of their own accommodation.

This is the first time we have stayed in a property in this price range that was badly antiquated, poorly run, and lacked any modern management that we wanted to escape almost directly after checking in. We should have been more conscious honestly after reading the TA reviews as the management apparently only responds to positive reviews but never to negative ones....a clear sign there is a lack of any accountability or leadership in a property honestly. Beyond the poor communications in advance of our stay we have to say that the rooms have not been refurbished since the 1970s at best and were stuffy, dark, and kind of sad honestly to the point where we worried about sticking to something. While some of the junior staff were friendly enough, the communication with management was poor and when we asked how we could best accomodate the needs of our children, we were simply told that one could sleep in our bed and they could set up a crib for the other child....at a rental cost of 15 euro a day!!!!! In my decades of traveling I have not ever found a single 4 star property that charged a daily rate on using a baby crib in a room and in general this left us the rather pressing feeling that families are not welcome here! Otherwise, if you are taking a train to Maastricht it is an ideal location as the hotel is located almost directly next to the train station and the noise is not so bad at night. In general though, this property felt like an obsolete dinosaur with no central leadership or accountability to its guests. The sad fact though is that with one of the Netherland's best hospitality schools based within the city limits, this poor service could easily be remedied we argued with some fresh blood and investment, but instead it looks like the owners just want to rest on the Amrath's accolades (and its presumed '4 stars') from yesteryear. A true pity and waste of money these days especially in such a hospitable city as Maasstricht where the Crowne Plaza nearby is clean, well run, and equally convenient.

Excellent! We arrived a little early but it was no bother and we were checked in swiftly by a very kind and professional receptionist; she was very helpful too with a great sense of humour. The rooms are very nice, big and clean and the bathroom is big, with a choice of shower heads and a separate bath. The breakfast buffet offers A LOT of options and I was impressed, it would have been perfect if they’d have served vegetarian sausages but that’s me being incredibly picky. Check out was swift plus you can also check out online or leave your keys in a drop box. There is ample parking and the location is very good as you are just off the motorway between Belgium and Germany. We booked directly with them so they offered us a little treat which was super nice. I thoroughly recommend this hotel; the parking, rooms and staff are very, very good!

Stayed in the Van der valk for two nights ,we were there for Andre Rieu concert on the Sunday 24 July ,we had waited 2 years for this ,we had booked this as a family and not through any organised ,my daughter was there with two of her children,they had a family room two double beds and two tvs ,we were next door in a double ,smashing bathroom with rain shower and bath giant tv limited channels in English. We had a buffet meal on the Saturday which was fantastic.on the Sunday we attended the concert in Masstricht,the hotel laid on shuttle buses to and from the event, I was very impressed by the organisation on the return journey,there were stewards making sure we were directed to the correct bus.we had a great time as did my granddaughter who made good use of the swimming pool . First class and very clean staff efficient and cheerful
