Hotel berhampiran Torres De Colon di Madrid

Este dice ser un hotel de al menos 4 estrellas y en mí apreciación no lo es. He tenido que dormir a 24 grados Celsius por las dos noches que estuve, a pesar de haber suplicado por aire la respuesta ha sido que los “demás clientes tenían Frío” . Llamé varias veces, y también fui un par de veces a ala recepción además de preguntar a una empleada de servicio. Y me decían que lo encenderían durante el día un rato. No entiendo . Así tuve dos trasnoches seguidos. El servicio del Bufett de desayuno está bueno y ahí hay un personal amable. La recepción casi siempre está vacía (sin empleados). El espacio para la duchar super reducido. No volvería ni lo recomendaría.

I was really looking forward to staying here, but was shocked to find out it was under major renovation when I arrived. It was never mentioned on the website or in any reviews. I actually walked past it, thinking it was being taken down and couldn’t possibly be the hotel. The staff were really understanding and were kind enough to find me another hotel, as I didn’t have time to find an alternative. From what I saw the room looked nice. Such a pity about the construction, which is from 8am-6pm.

I've stayed in quite a few hotels in the Spanish capital over the course of several decades. Each of those hotels was just fine, and some were better than ”fine.” But I never returned to any of them for a second time--I always sought something ”better.” I knew I had found that ”better place” a year ago, the moment the glass doors parted at Calle Orfila, #6, to reveal the elegant lobby of the Hotel Orfila, which would become my Madrid ”home away from home.” Last year's stay was perfect and I am now ensconced here for the second time--a 5-night stay-- that has proved to be even more pleasurable than the first. Hotel Orfila is an intimate family-run hotel that has been honored, for obvious reasons, with the prestigious Relais & Chateaux designation. Rooms are lovely renditions of Old World style, furnished with antiques and exquisite textiles--wallpaper, carpets, upholstery on the comfortable sofas and chairs dotting the room. Rear-facing rooms overlook the gorgeous garden where guests can dine or relax under a delicate hand-painted mural. In all the nights I've spent here, I've yet to hear ANY outdoor noise. Beds are so comfortable I wish I could tuck one in my suitcase and position its in my Manhattan bedroom. Embroidered soft white sheets of impeccable quality, velvet blackout curtains, linen and cotton toweling and robes.....all of the plush amenities one would expect in a 5-star Grand Luxe hotel contribute to the ambience. There is nothing lacking!! And if there is something you need, staff will magically make it appear within what seems like seconds--extra towels, extra Nespresso pods, even assistance with packing purchases for the plane, or for express delivery overseas.... Last year when I found my suitcase could not accommodate one more items, the delightful Bellboy, Frank, took it upon himself to provide a carton, bubble wrap, and tape, and the front desk, manned by the kind and efficient Bruce, arranged delivery to the US by fast courier at a most reasonable cost. To Frank, to Bruce, to ”Heathcliff,” and to Axel--at front of house, and to Yunes and Laura in the breakfast restaurant, and the others whose names I neglect to mention here, you have my heartfelt thanks for a most memorable stay at the Orfila. And speaking of breakfast: The vast buffet consisting of impeccable sourced regional foods, from fruits to cheeses to meats and smoked fish, complimented by artisanal breads and pastries and my personal favorites: Migas and Tortilla Espanola, almost eliminates the need for eating later in the day. But if you prefer a made-to order hot breakfast: Eggs Benedict, omelettes, oatmeal--just about any food you can imagine, just say the word. The coffee is excellent and it's lovely to begin the day with a flute of Cava! The hotel restaurant is under the helm of two-star Michelin Chef Mario Sandoval, and there is a lovely and intimate bar that offers a cozy space for a nightcap or snack. Special thanks to Manager A

Such a great experience at the hostel. Got a room with a private terrace and a stunning view of the nice traditional Madrid. Food was nice and very good for the price too 10/10. My favorito part was the building and its interior, pretty nice and the room very cool. It’s very central and just 2 blocks down a train station, you can walk to must touristic places which is nice. Hope to be back one day haha🤪

Very good, modern hotel, in a fantastic location in the city. This hotel is less than 5 minutes walk from the local Metro station and less than 10 minutes walk to Plaza de España and the beginning of Grand Via. To reach the very Centre of the city (Sol) it's only 20 minutes by foot or you can use the Metro with only one change. We paid direct to the reception for breakfast on one of our 3 mornings and it was well worth the money. A good range of tasty food and drink on offer. The bed was very comfy. The WiFi worked very well. Air con was excellent. All the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We will return to this hotel.

The rooftop has a fine chill out zone. Great music, good couches, AC so it doesnt get too hot in the summer. The waitress Renalyn is very attentive and served us well. Good vibes overall, we'll be back. 5⭐

The service in this hotel is probably the best I've experienced in 36 years of international travel. They go above and beyond - and concierges Pablo and Arturo were especially helpful in every way from organizing tours to making sure my sister-in-law was well looked after when she was unwell. We were there in October '23 and it was so good we went back for a few days over New year. Great food, good piano bar, very comfortable rooms and a wonderful atmosphere. Cannot compliment the URSO enough!

La ubicación del hotel muy céntrica y bien ubicada , buena limpieza y buena calidad precio. Antes de entrar al hotel , Marisa del personal del hotel, nos atendió vía telefónica estupendamente y nos explicó como hacer check in por internet, ya que en este hotel se hace de esa forma (cosa que debería explicar Trip.com y no viene indicado).
