Please avoid the Coral Strand Hotel. Every Room has issues with mold (the curtains all contain mold at the very least) and this creates an unpleasant and gross smell which you can not ignore. We were able to change rooms and it got slightly better but thats sadly not the only thing that went wrong. The AC didnt work anymore at one point and about everything in the room broke. This place needs some HEAVY renovation! At least they acted quick with our request to change the room and always tried to fix the issues that we had in a kind manner. The buffet on the other hand was pretty exceptional and I cant give this place just one star. It wouldnt be fair because the location is also pretty nice and they are working hard to imrpove your stay if any issues arise. But still, I recommend avoiding this place, as the mold probleme is severe and will definitely dampen your seychelles experience!

This was our second visit to this wonderful place and it didn’t disappoint - we arrived at 7 am and were offered to partake in breakfast and also to have a shower in their gym as our room wasn’t ready - 2 hours later we were told it was available so we were able to unpack and settle ourselves in. The rooms are very spacious with very good bathroom facilities. We chose to do B & B this time round so were able to sample local restaurants which are a 15 minutes walk away - we dined at Traders Vic 3 times as it is so good. The beach is incredible and is was lovely watching the local children enjoying the sea and playing ball games - there was a huge notice asking people to just leave their footprint on the sand but inevitably there were plastic bottles and cutlery in the sand which I always find really sad but the beach was kept clean - behind the scenes not so good ! I even witnessed a man throw a bottle into one of the bushes. The breakfast choice is good - Lisanne one of the waitresses went above and beyond particularly for my partner - he was given a sliced orange every morning and she even did a plate of fruit for us to take up to our rooms - she even came in on her day off as it was our last day to make sure we got our fruit - also another special mention goes to Faridah who makes the best cocktails on the island - all the staff are very respectful and hard working. Now for my one and only gripe - the music played around the pool - why we have to endure constant loud noise mostly rap I do not know - it was too loud and you couldn’t escape it as there are speakers all around - I used to get down to the pool early before the bar opened so I could enjoy a read and listen to the waves and then usually around 11 am peace and quiet was finished - all I would say is if we have to endure this just turn it down a notch and maybe change the genre please !
