Hotel Romantic di Penang, Malaysia

You can take bus 401E directly from the airport to the hotel, getting off at Komtar station. It takes about 40 minutes. The hotel is about 200 meters from Komtar. It's quite a long walk to the street art area, and it's too hot to walk comfortably. The hotel is considered large for Penang, but the facilities are quite old. The buffet restaurant on the first floor is very average. The 11th-floor pool is decent. The massage parlor is run by a third party. The soundproofing is pretty bad. Several front desk staff members can speak Chinese.

Location is good, right in the centre & within walking distance to eateries & shopping. Close nearby there’s the Hin Depot, it’s like a weekend flea market. Hotel Service was great, the room that i booked was rather small, city view facing but sun was strong and day time, was abit hot as room window facing the sun. Going green is good, and water dispenser is provided on every floor for our refill. Can i suggest the bottles provided to have a wider opening as when refilling was rather difficult to avoid any spillage, especially taking the hot water Hotel deco is very festive.

Good stay at Jazz Hotel Penang 👍 Really satisfied with my trip here. The room was clean, spacious and comfortable, with a bathtub and even a complimentary bath bomb which made the stay extra relaxing. Love the rooftop pool and the overall modern vibe. Location is convenient — walking distance to Straits Quay and easy access to Gurney area for food. Staff were friendly and helpful throughout the stay. Overall a pleasant experience, will definitely come back again!

I don't understand why I paid an extra 60 ringgit per day for a window room, only to have to keep the curtains closed. People are constantly walking by the park outside, and I can clearly see into the rooms and at the people across the way. Every room has its curtains tightly shut. I really don't think it was worth paying that extra RM 180+++. When I finally talked to Trip.com, the hotel offered to switch my room. Seriously??? Who has time to keep moving all their stuff? And then they blamed me for not switching rooms, saying they waited all day? Excuse me, if you didn't assign such bizarre rooms in the first place, who would need to switch? Anyway, I'm extremely dissatisfied. My stay was very uncomfortable and absolutely disgusting! This type of room shouldn't even be an option at this hotel!

I will definitely repeat my stay, as it provides a wonderful combination of fun and happiness for families.

The hotel has an amazing view and the food was really delicious. The room was clean and comfortable, perfect for families. My children enjoyed every moment and didn’t want to leave. Highly recommended!

Location is just 3min walk from a Duck meat Koay Teow Teng where locals go. 15min walk from New Lane food street for dinner and lots of TSP stores that locals go to within a radius of 5 min walk. Despite near to all these nice shops, it is quiet enough to rest. The counter staff are also friendly, especially Amirul. Despite putting on mask, Amirul lots of warmth and hospitality. Truly enjoyed the stay at this hotel.

Booking process was quite smooth and easy. The place nearby was quite happening for place to eat The room was clean But I believe it is an office modified to become a room to stay. Therefore it was very quiet outside of office hours. I found it awkward as it did not represent the vibe either an apartment or hotel.

Honestly this hotel was unexpectedly good!! The room was extremely clean (really love that super clean smell when you walk into your room 😂) Their housekeeping team did a great job too - I’ve requested daily house keeping & they cleaned the room, changed the towels every day without fail! There’s also a complimentary snacks near the lift which they replenish it every day. When I requested for a steam iron, they sent it over immediately as well! - very responsive, very impressive! One of the highlights was the cute cats around the property - super manja super friendly, which made the stay even more enjoyable!! It’s a great choice for people who love cats!! You’ll see them everywhere LOL The sandwich bar is amazing too - Can try their signature Reuben & smoke duck cheese toast, it’s very nice!! Location wise I think it’s very strategic. It’s walkable to the famous Chowrasta Market for breakfast, chendol, and many more. Taking Grab around was also very convenient - not expensive. One more plus point when you stay here, you can visit the massage centre right beside the hotel - pretty good with reasonable price (it’s not the very atas kind but was quite decent & just have to book in advance to secure your slot) I think the only minor downside would be some background noise from the bar across the street at night. You can hear faint clubbing music, but it wasn’t too loud or disruptive & it didn’t affect our stay much. All in all, it’s a good one! Will definitely come back again!!

Every staff member was so helpful and caring. I would make a special mention of Bhuyain who took so much loving care looking at every details of food. Aidan at the front office was simply fantastic and he’s a true asset to your hotel.  All in all a wonderful homely hotel where eating buffet breakfast was a pleasure every morning with refills coming in at the right times. A big thank you for the excellent stay👍👍👍👍👍
