It was our first visit to Morocco. Riad El Zohar was a beautiful, very comfortable haven amidst the, at first glance, madness of Marrakesh. It has very quiet, generous sized rooms, thoughtfully equipped, clean and well looked after. The common areas were tranquil and the roof terrace was nicely divided into different areas and the ideal place to relax and enjoy the views whenever we returned to the Riad from our sorties.
Allan is a very friendly and welcoming host who helped us orientate ourselves in the maze of the medina. He was very knowledgeable and reliable and his suggestions of where to visit, to eat and advice re how to manage the locals was useful.
It isn't very many steps from the Riad to restaurants and the souks, 'the big square'. Allan was happy to make bookings and arrange porter/transport.
Our stay was thoroughly enjoyable and we do not hesitate to recommend Riad El Zohar. There were so many places we did not get to see and it is our intention to return.

Absolutely stunning place for your stay. I can't recommend high enough Riad El Zohar, lovely place to stay. Allan is a super host and went thoroughly trough all the explanations upon our arrival, Morad and Erradi always ready to help and Khadija is a masterclass that will cook dishes you can die for! The rest of the team is very good as well providing a homey a**osphere. The riad is clean, well located and the service is top notch. My advice if you can search for Talilit room and/or Draa room with a huge bathroom, as both are great options.

Great little riad in the heart of the medina. Basic functions, but if you want 5 star amenities go to a large chain hotel! Clean, safe with excellent friendly staff

The staff and host (Alan) are superb!!! They are very much helpful and wonderful people. Alan informed me about the culture and traditions that helped me navigate the Medina in an easier and helpful way!!!

We had a wonderful stay at Riad el Zohar - our home away from home in Marrakech! Alan, the Riad's owner and genial host was always kind, friendly and helpful. He showed us around town to get us acclimatised and ensure we were safe and savvy and was always nearby with further help, information and advice. He is also a font of knowledge about the local area, Marrakech and Morocco in general. His staff were wonderful too! Kind, courteous and always helpful. I cannot recommend Riad el Zohar highly enough!

Our stay was absolutely wonderful. The evening meal we had on the lovely terrace was the best Moroccan food we had during our stay in Morocco. Allan was a great host and was flexible and kind. Highly recommend this Riad!
