Husband and I stayed 9 days for our 30th anniversary in refurb room which had the most comfortable bed and was also mentioned by other guests. Service was always high standard and all the staff were friendly and very proud of their country. Sorry too many to mention by name. Fabulous breakfast selection of cereal, pastries, omelettes, pancakes, various cooked traditional breakfast items, amazing fruit etc plus some local and Indian hot food. Basic coffee/tea served at table but also self service machines available for Cappuccino/Lattes etc Lunch buffet also large selection with daily salad bar, pizza, pasta etc plus lots of other varied hot food some precooked and also meats cooked fresh. Dinner similar at buffet and both had wide selection of desserts and ice creams. Three bookable restaurants all great table service and beautifully presented plates. Need to book on arrival as particularly Morris Beef as mainly reserved for the Adults section. This was perhaps only negative as we hadn’t realised beforehand so could only use the Steak place once. Water sports team were fantastic with great friendly and personal service. Very little guests using Water Skiing so husband did this daily and had a brilliant time. A snorkel and glass bottom boat went out 2/3 times a day which was bookable day before to help planning. Different entertainment each night ranging from traditional singing/dancing, vocalists and low key bands. DJ played some nights too which got some dancing going but it’s not a big party night club vibe kind of place. I had the need for a doctor one night and I can’t thank all the staff at Hotel and hospital enough both overnight and afterwards making sure we were OK. It’s reassuring to know medical facilities are so good. All in all it was a fantastic holiday made special by the people and the service so we will be back to Mauritius as so much to see and do on the island which we couldn’t cover this time.
