Riu Turquoise - All Inclusive

It was awesome staying there but there was a hiccup at one point, we booked the place to have access to the sauna and jacuzzi and it was closed during our stay without notification, so instead we decided to have a warm bath but the water from the bath was yellowish.. that said.. they changed us rooms, also gave us a bottle of champagne and a free 50mins massage session.. in all though, it was a nice place, the food was awesome and lovely atmosphere!

這裏三餐全包，隨時可以吃喝，我覺得帶孩子太方便了，風箏沖浪一定要住這裏……. 房間雖然不是特別有設計感，但是乾淨整潔的……我們家庭套房空間也可以，商店還有卸粧巾賣，解決了我的大需要…. 性價比真的很高！！

A good hotel that offers a flavour of Mauritius Rooms as excellent extend for a new hotel are in excellent order with any issues being addressed quickly by the maintenance team Usual issues with booking the steak & Indian restaurants onsite as these tend to be snapped up by visitors to the palace which share these facilities Guest services are limited in what they can do for turquoise patrons, certainly an issue . Area is windy and this is evident by the water sports , kitesurfers who dominant this stretch of coast . As ever it’s a 20 min walk if you want a swim in less windy and calm waters Pool area at the swim up bar should be for adults only as signposted, this was never adhered to in our time at the hotel . Kids were always in that area rather than the main pool Pool activities are sporadic We had 2 days off site to break up the holiday which allowed us to see the island and also some of the history, a must after travelling a significant distance The restaurant food was in our opinion really good and if you can secure a quieter table for couples makes the night Restaurant waiting staff are a positive for the hotel , the approach and service are excellent We found the cost of a late checkout to be excessive compared to other RIU hotels we have visited throughout the world , the female at the admin desk said it was a take it or leave it option lol . Bit of work required there We took it to get some rest prior to a 14 hour flight The weather in early oct is variable with no real excessive heat days which suited us Transfer to / from airport is over 1 hour 10 mins All in it was a great holiday in a beautiful island

Just return from Riu Turquoise n it was a very extraordinary experience, everything was just wow.... Was very unsure to go when we read bad reviews abt the hotel but for those having mixed feelings abt this hotel, just go n enjoy it's worth ur time n money..... We have enjoyed so so much..... Thanks Riu Turquoise n staff for making our stay memorable, will return soon❤️☺️ Food, room n overall service is 10/10,well done

We stayed at Riu Turquoise for the weekend, overall it was a nice stay. The major let down was the wind, so it does get chilly . Its an all inclusive hotel so you get to enjoy food and drinks all day long. Breakfast and lunch was somewhat repetitive... pretty much the same everyday. As for dinner, the theme changes every night. We also witnessed a rude male staff at Savanah bar who was badmouthing a tourist behind his back after the man simply asked for a bottle of water. It made me cringed. Also many of the housekeeping staff would literally be shouting from each end of the corridors, and we could hear them arguing outside. So big room for improvement regarding its staff. Also, I could not get a reservation for both A la carte restaurants despite asking two days in advance. I previously did read somewhere online that it was difficult to get a reservation so I tried to find an email address to make a reservation a week prior but that too I could not find. Room is ok, comfy bed. The floor was not clean though and there was a leak in our bathroom. Overall it was a nice stay. Value for money.

A KiteSurf / Windsurf Review of new RIU Turquoise July 2024 + Proposals to RIU to fix the disasters Having Kitesurfed at RIU Creole every year scene 2016, let's compare to the new RIU Turquoise. In summary: It is like the hotel designers do not want Kitesurf or Windsurf visitors ever again. It is Not Kitesurf and Windsurf friendly anymore, in fact it is the opposite. Kitesurf Positive: 1. They have put taps near the walkways where you can wash your feet and your kitesurf equipment before you go into the hotel Kitesurf Negatives: 1. Wind Everywhere ! 20 knots over the swimming pool makes it cold and miserable for your wife and kids. And if the wife and kids hate it, then you can't go there anymore. The best thing about RIU Creole was that the hotel did not face into the wind. It faced south west and had epic sunsets. Now, RIU Turquoise faces South East which means the wind howls through the hotel everywhere. 20 knots in the Lobby and down the passages is not fun for anyone! 2. Ground Floor unit is meaningless A Ground floor room was a treat to keep your equipment outside, now it is meaningless. All ground rooms now have a full 1.2m high balustrade so you cannot walk onto the grass ? This is a unique kind of stupidity for Mauritius where all hotels on the ground floor mean you can walk onto the grass from your room. Worse still they put a hedge of plants in front of the balaustrade just in case you want to pass your stuff over the balustrade. 3. No-where to rig and sharp plants to destroy your equipment The old Grass under the coconut trees to rig and de-rig used to be awesome. Not any more. They have removed the grass under the coconut trees and even spray the area with poison to kill the natural grass trying to come up. Worse still. They have planted thousands of little palms so you cannot put your kite anywhere except leave it on the beach. Shortly those plans will have sharp thorns to put holes in your kite. 4. ION Club gone? The ION Club was right in front of the hotel, near the swimming pool and thousands of guests would rent boards and foils. Now the ION Club is 0.5km away, as far away as possible to the hotel at the fence next to the other kitesurf schools. 5. No Windsurfers for the kids or family ??? You cannot make this up ! How ironic that the hotel with the best wind in Mauritius no longer offers guests a simple beginner windsurfer for the teenagers or other guests to try. No kidding ! 6. The Beach Bar is Gone! Epic sunsets and cocktails. After an epic day Kitesurfing, watching the sunset with the wife and kids with cocktails at the beach bar was epic. Not any more. Its gone 7. Other related disappointments for the whole family: a. No entertainment any more! All hotels in Mauritius feature local musicians every night in the lounge or sitting areas. Not at RIU Turquoise. The Creole was the most festive fun hotel in Mauritius. Not any more. Thee is no lounge area and thus no entertainment. b. No lounge
