The Good Life Mauritius

I had a wonderful stay at Good Life Lodges. The place was clean, cozy, and well-equipped with everything I needed. The peaceful location made it perfect for a relaxing getaway. The staff was friendly and helpful, making the experience even better. I would definitely stay here again! Thanks to Antoine🙏

The easiest 5 star rate I left in the recent period. It should be a footprint for many hosts and B&B boutique hotels on how to run the premises. Everything was perfect from the moment we arrived until we left. The host, Antoine, was amazing, the breakfast was sublime, the room was clean and comfortable. A couple of times we had to go early for field trips, so they prepared our breakfast for takeout. We can’t recommend enough this hotel if you decide to stay up north of Mauritius.

Antoine made us feel very welcome on our arrival; extremely friendly & knowledgable; thank-you. He supplies a list of good restaurants; trips; etc. The Good Life are eco lodges. 8 in total. 4 facing the pool & 4 to the rear. Make sure you book a pool facing room. The rooms are bright, airy & open plan…including the bathroom. As it’s an eco lodge the air conditioning is turned off during the day; however we asked for ours to be left & Antoine obliged; but please turn it off if you are out for the day. Our pool view room had a lovely verandah; very peaceful & relaxing at the end of the day. The rooms have tea/coffee making facilities, but no fridge; however you can use their communal fridge to store beers, drinks, snacks, etc. There is no bar, but you can bring alcohol back if you desire. The breakfast is beautiful; different egg choices, fruit, tea/coffee, juices, etc. Lovely pool setting with day beds. The best thing about this place is that it’s quiet !!! You can hear some traffic at times, but it’s mainly peaceful with just the sound of birds. Being in the far north of the island (which is beautiful); you will need wheels to get around. Short walk to local beach & the pretty chapel. The more built up Gran Baie is a 15 minute drive/ride away. 1hr30 from airport (2100MUR) £37 one way. We would both highly recommend The Good Life !!! Perfect stay. Hosts are really friendly and accomodating and the place has an amazing vibe. They thought of all the details for a relaxing stay. The temperature of the water in the pool was very pleasant compared to the other places we visited. Garden is really beautiful. Breakfast is outstanding!

There are very few places where you arrive and you are so honestly welcome that you feel home. This is how I would describe The Good Life. The manager has always time for a short chat. He also recomended to us many great atractions, bars and restaurants. He was always there to help us. The Good Life looks exactly like on the photos available on the page - like a small paradies! You are awake and you see the beautiful and colourful garden from your bed. The location is very good to discover the north of the island. They serve also delicious breakfast. It is a definitely a place to visit! If not for a stay then for a breakfast or a lunch at least!

We enjoyed our stay at The Good Life from the first moment. Everythink was perfect, from the check-in to the cleanliness to the delicious breakfast. We especially appreciated the small size of the hotel, the pool area (which was great for morning yoga und swim) as well as the care to details and quality/ecology. The owner and the team were wery welcoming and gave us a lot of tips for activities.
