Hotel berhampiran Le Morne, Mauritius

Just arrived back after a fantastic 10 days at this hotel. The whole experience was exceptional, I will run out of superlatives during this review. Hotel room spotless and so cool with wonderful A/C, the WiFi was super fast. All the hotel staff from porters, reception, golf club, dining, cleaners, engineers were unbelievably polite, always smiling and extremely courteous. Food at every restaurant, including the sister hotel Le Paradis was Michelin star standard. Snorkelling, glass-bottom boat and water-skiing were included FOC. We paid for a 2 hour snorkelling with dolphins trip, again worth every penny as we swam very closely to Bottle-Nose and Spinner dolphins, they were very inquisitive and the skipper assured us they were please to see us, all this in their natural habitat. We also encountered Eagle Rays and a local Turtle feeding on the sea grass. My wife is now a snorkelling enthusiast. I paid a fee of approximately £70.00 to go SCUBA diving as I hold an Advance Open Water badge., the fee included all the equipment, insurance and an excellent PADI instructor. The golf facilities were perfect, with a range, short game area and putting green. the course was in excellent condition, I played at 06:30 on each occasion and with a buggy completed the round in under 2-hours, yes 2 hours! The back 9 was my favourite section the 16th hole is stunning and scenery would be hard to beat anywhere in the world.

Great hotel. Perfect location! The beach in front of the hotel (and the whole Le morne beach) is so stunning. The water is sooo clear and had different shades of blue. We stayed all over the island on our trip but we find Lux Le morne has the most amazing beach with the view of Le morne mountain and when you go out in the sea and look back at the hotel, it’s just so so stunning! The room was also cozy with very comfortable bed. The only bad thing about the room was the hot water in shower sometimes just stopped working (finished) and we had to wait!! There are a lot of sun beds but if you don’t reserve one, they are usually all taken by the afternoon. Breakfast was good. Lots of water activities. The gym was a bit too small and sauna took forever to get heated so we gave up. Service was good. The pools were beautiful with the view of Le morne mountain. Overall, we loved this hotel and enjoyed our stay a lit. This was our most fav hotel in Mauritius and if we ever return, we would stay here again.

Check in was hectic. There were so many guests checking in and waiting in such a small space. We checked in at 3 pm but the room wasn’t ready until 3.45 pm. We got to the room and found out that they upgraded us (without telling us). The upgraded room was a big suite which was very nice but it was on the ground floor. We booked a junior suite balcony which is upstairs (we prefer upstairs as more privacy and better view) we had to ask to move to the type of room that we actually booked for! (What a waste of time for everyone) the room was very beautiful and comfortable and we LOVED the balcony. We love le Morne beach the water is so clear with different shades of blue but here we find the beach to be a bit too wide so you are a bit far from the sea (we stayed at another hotel in Le morne and we found there we were closer to the see with better view of Le Morne) Plenty of available sun beds. We didn’t like the pools so didn’t go in. Breakfast was disappointing compared to the price we pay. Service was not bad but not great. Overall, it was an ok stay.

It was awesome staying there but there was a hiccup at one point, we booked the place to have access to the sauna and jacuzzi and it was closed during our stay without notification, so instead we decided to have a warm bath but the water from the bath was yellowish.. that said.. they changed us rooms, also gave us a bottle of champagne and a free 50mins massage session.. in all though, it was a nice place, the food was awesome and lovely atmosphere!

When we were looking to book to go to Mauritius, this hotel wasn't coming up. It was only someone mentioning on a Facebook group that it had recently been refurbished that made me look at it. We decided to upgrade to the Elite Club just before going, so I can only really share our experience with the benefits this gave us. Our experience was also possibly made a lot more enjoyable by the fact that the hotel was not at full capacity. Our room: We were in a second floor room, overlooking the Elite pool and sea. The room was fabulous, very spacious and everything was new. Housekeeping kept the room spotless. We only had soft drinks and snacks from the mini bar, but it was kept topped up regularly and there was no shortage of bottled water. The bed was super comfortable and there were both hard and soft pillows available. The only negatives regarding the room was the floor was quite slippy when you got out of the shower and there was only one USB port on one side of the bed, but that wasn't particularly an issue for us. The air conditioning is set to go only as low as 24 degrees, which for the majority of the time was fine, but there were a couple of nights it felt a bit stuffy. There aren't any lifts either, so shout out to the lovely guy who lugged our cases up two flights of stairs! The pool area was lovely, comfortable loungers with plenty of shade. The pool was very warm, which we loved. Clean towels were placed out every morning. If you wanted to sit on the beach, there were plenty of beds and parasols. The food was exceptional. Plenty of choice in the buffet and if there was something you particularly want, they will make it for you. We ate at two of the speciality restaurants which needed to be booked and the food was just beautiful. We also ate at the steak restaurant and the Turquoise next door and didn't really enjoy it. The restaurant was super busy and the food wasn't on a par with the other restaurants. The staff were all just lovely and are the hotels greatest assets, they couldn't do enough for you. We didn't really go to the entertainment in the theatre bit, it didn't seem particularly well organised. But the singers that were outside by the bar were lovely to listen to while having a drink Niggles: We opted for the Elite option, and paid quite a lot of money to do so, and we felt this wasn't monitored properly. There were a couple of occasions when there were non-Elite guests using the pool and the beds around them, and bearing in mind we had selected this hotel because it is adults only, there was even a family with a child from the Turquoise using the pool. It also didn't seem to be particularly monitored in the dining areas either. While we appreciate that there has been a huge investment in this hotel and the management were trying to get everything to give the best service possible, having the line of staff by the door of the buffet saying enjoy your dinner literally every time you walked out, meant it ended up just feeli

From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by the manager, Mr. Alan Rampton, a charming and extremely efficient gentleman. One would think that his sole mission is to fulfill every single whim and desire of his guests—and he does so effortlessly, with such grace and charm. His thoughtful gesture of relocating us to another room made my wife soooo happy, setting the perfect tone for our stay. The Club Car drivers, Jimmy and Kevin, were fantastic—always prompt, always courteous, and always ensuring we got back to our room comfortably after dinner. Kevin, a special thank you for the incredible photo tour on our last night. That was truly a memorable experience! And then, the meals… simply extraordinary! We had the pleasure of dining at two exceptional restaurants: The Zest, with its delightful Mediterranean cuisine, and the renowned Blue Marlin, where we enjoyed a magical Valentine’s dinner. At The Zest, Dhondee and Santoo welcomed us like old friends, making us feel instantly at home. Abhinash impressed us with his expert wine recommendations—his advice made our dining experience even more special. And a huge thank you to Jean-Philippe, whose recipe exchanges with my wife added a personal and unforgettable touch. Despite her own incredible cooking skills, she was truly impressed by the exquisite meals! As for Blue Marlin, it lived up to its stellar reputation in every way. With Tivilen and Gopaul, the two outstanding restaurant managers, we felt as if we were dining at an old friend’s home—warm, welcoming, and simply perfect. A huge thank you to everyone at Le Paradis Beachcomber. You make our country very proud! We are already planning our next stay and can’t wait to return to this paradise. Es kann nicht besser sein. Perfektes Hotel, zwei grossartige Golfplätze; Personal, dass einem jeden Wunsch von den Lippen abliest und auch erfüllt; top Restaurants. Nichts, was es nicht gibt. Falls es fehlt, das Hotel organisiert es. Einfach perfekt!!!👌

If you want to take a break from the hustle and bustle, then this is the place for you. A small and cozy hotel surrounded by greenery. The staff is friendly. Breakfast is ordinary, you won’t go hungry, alcohol and water are paid, order from the menu. Beach towels are available for a fee. There are no cafes or restaurants near the hotels, no shops, 10 minutes walk from the main road. The location will be convenient if you plan to see the sights of the southern or western part of the island.
