If you want to take a break from the hustle and bustle, then this is the place for you. A small and cozy hotel surrounded by greenery. The staff is friendly. Breakfast is ordinary, you won’t go hungry, alcohol and water are paid, order from the menu. Beach towels are available for a fee.
There are no cafes or restaurants near the hotels, no shops, 10 minutes walk from the main road. The location will be convenient if you plan to see the sights of the southern or western part of the island.

Wow! From the minute we arrived to our final breakfast this was an amazing experience. Every member of the team was incredibly friendly and attentive. We had an ocean view room with a balcony which was a brilliant size with a huge comfortable bed. The bar and restaurant was beautiful with plenty of seating overlooking the ocean. The hotel has its own private beach with loungers under grass umbrellas and there was also a number of huge lounge beds by the beautiful pool. I watched each morning as a team of staff made sure the beach area was free from any debris that may have blown in overnight. The food was really good from the buffet breakfast, lunch from a very good menu and buffet evening meal. There was enough choice of tasty, fresh fruit, salad, fish with plenty local dishes such as Mauritian curry. The choice of drinks and cocktails with local beers, rum and wine was on offer throughout the day and night. We had the pleasure of using the spa on 3 occasions with a 2 hour oriental massage and pedicure with the lovely Kevina and the most amazing couples treat which included an hour massage followed by a glass of fizz and fruit kebabs in a Japanese bath. Both Kevina and Sweeta were incredible. We took advantage of the free entrance and transport to the local nature park - Casela which was well worth a visit. Finally on our last day we went to breakfast only to be escorted to a reserved table laid all decorated overlooking the ocean. What an incredible touch this was. All of the staff are a credit to this place and make the experience every bit special. I would highly recommend a visit here and will certainly be back. Thanks for an amazing stay xx

We would first of all like to thank the team for having us for the weekend and making my birthday special. We initially planned to visit on the 5th Feb but we couldn't make it. The reservation team did the needful to amend the booking to the 8th Feb and were over the moon. We were mesmerized by the cleanliness of the garden and pathway. The fact that the hotel is surrounded by the turquoise lagoon is just spectacular. The check in was smooth. We were surprised with a complimentary bottle of wine and a box of macarons. While enjoying the sundowner from our beach front room, we elated to know that we got a free late check out till 17:00 for the next day. Breakfast at the Dinarobin has a captivating view on the Le Morne mountain. It definitely made the breakfast experience indelible. As hoteliers, we couldn't be more proud knowing that this is the kind of hospitality given to all guests. Thank you!

It is a wonderful resort, with excellent service, exquisite attention from all the staff and a large number of services at your disposal: 8 restaurants to choose from included in the price; numerous water sports; tennis; gym; a magnificent Spa; 6 swimming pools... a place where calm and friendliness are the most precious assets. I have felt part of a family. Thanks to Audrey the public relations for her magnificent treatment and to the entire staff for their professionalism. I will return without a doubt🤍

Great hotel. Perfect location! The beach in front of the hotel (and the whole Le morne beach) is so stunning. The water is sooo clear and had different shades of blue. We stayed all over the island on our trip but we find Lux Le morne has the most amazing beach with the view of Le morne mountain and when you go out in the sea and look back at the hotel, it’s just so so stunning! The room was also cozy with very comfortable bed. The only bad thing about the room was the hot water in shower sometimes just stopped working (finished) and we had to wait!! There are a lot of sun beds but if you don’t reserve one, they are usually all taken by the afternoon. Breakfast was good. Lots of water activities. The gym was a bit too small and sauna took forever to get heated so we gave up. Service was good. The pools were beautiful with the view of Le morne mountain. Overall, we loved this hotel and enjoyed our stay a lit. This was our most fav hotel in Mauritius and if we ever return, we would stay here again.

Check in was hectic. There were so many guests checking in and waiting in such a small space. We checked in at 3 pm but the room wasn’t ready until 3.45 pm. We got to the room and found out that they upgraded us (without telling us). The upgraded room was a big suite which was very nice but it was on the ground floor. We booked a junior suite balcony which is upstairs (we prefer upstairs as more privacy and better view) we had to ask to move to the type of room that we actually booked for! (What a waste of time for everyone) the room was very beautiful and comfortable and we LOVED the balcony. We love le Morne beach the water is so clear with different shades of blue but here we find the beach to be a bit too wide so you are a bit far from the sea (we stayed at another hotel in Le morne and we found there we were closer to the see with better view of Le Morne) Plenty of available sun beds. We didn’t like the pools so didn’t go in. Breakfast was disappointing compared to the price we pay. Service was not bad but not great. Overall, it was an ok stay.

Over all a good place. I have stayed in many RIU all over the world. This one was definitely a good one. Food needed more variety in different days. Upset that the steak restaurant wasn't available everyday. I think at that point they should allow us to have a sign up like other RIU have. We went at about 7:50 PM and they said there was no more room to wait. Yet when we passed by at like 9:00 there were so many open tables. they just didn't want us to wait even though at first they said 40 minute wait, which we didn't mind the wait. Then they came out and said its too full. Also the service at the bar pool should be better only when the supervisor was in the pool bar was it good if not the workers disappear into the little room there and ignore the guest.

The recently renovated hotel provided all the facilities we wanted, and the staff were exceptionally friendly and looked after us very well. Yes, there is a bit of a drive from the airport, but this is due to the roads in Mauritius and you will get to see the island en route. Although we had the option to dine at the themed restaurants, having tried the Kaori which lacked the atmosphere and the Steakhouse in the Turquoise sister hotel, we opted for our superb buffet restaurant, which also had great Vegetarian options and clear food labelling. Dining on the upper terrace while watching the sun set was magical. On days without excursions, we lounged by the pool with ample sunbeds, a snack station, and a bar, plus daily Aquafit for those who wanted it. In the evenings, we enjoyed live music. We also booked a late check-out, allowing us to relax in the air-conditioned reception until our transfer. I recommend using the Riu app for easy communication with the front desk and for finding out what is going on. Finally, our Junior Suite overlooked the swimming area on the ground floor and it was very comfortable, with two bathroom sinks. Housekeeping cleaned it daily and our fridge was very well stocked.

Service and food could be better.
Breakfast and Dinner are served as buffet. Dinner can also be in one of their separate restaurants which offer a la carte menu. Restaurants needs separate reservation and we needed to wait two days to get a spot. Buffet food is not the best if I need to judge but it’s something subjective.
Service level is good but not great. Something we also experienced in another hotel on the island.
Hotel has created their own beach which is a kind of bay. So if you are looking for a perfect sand beach, just be aware.

A few days in paradise: that’s how it felt to stay at the Oberoi in Mauritius which was, hands down, our best hotel experience ever. From the moment we entered the resort grounds and were warmly welcomed until the moment it was time to say goodbye, the entire team (I won’t mention names because I literally would need to name every single one of them) went out of their way to make our stay one-of-a-kind. For example: researching and recommending excursions based on our specific wishes, showing us the beautiful coral reef in an expertly maneuvered glass bottom boat, delivering relaxing massages, making every single dining experience enjoyable (and every meal was exceptional), giving us fresh aloe vera to soothe sunburns, and making sure our stays at the beach, the pool, the bar, the herb garden … were all, simply, perfection. Not to mention the many activities offered (wine tasting , star gazing, cooking courses, snorkeling, yoga…) and the many people working behind the scenes to upkeep the stunning gardens/grounds and provide security and maintenance. We truly had the feeling that each and every staff member regardless of role goes out of their way to deliver a truly exceptional client experience in this truly stunning setting. If you’re reading this review because you’re hesitating given the steep price tag and trying to decide if it is worth it (as we did prior to booking ), let me tell you: you will love it.

We stayed downstairs and we could hear people in the room above us walking, closing the door, dragging their chair (a lot when they returned from dinner late around midnight) We had bad nights because of this.
Room AC is not cold. Even though it’s set at the lowest (18.5c) it felt like 25c
Overall, it was an ok stay but we won’t stay here again.

LLittybit76The number one priority shared by every staff member at Salt is to provide superior customer service for their guests and ensure that their needs are met in a beautiful and relaxing environment! Everyone was kind and welcoming which made our stay enjoyable!
We loved having easy access to the beaches, as well as the many water activities provided by the hotel. The gentlemen at the boat house were helpful and encouraged us to participate in all of the activities! The beach is very clean with breathtaking views of the clear blue, turquoise water, sunny days and beautiful sunrises/sunsets!
The spa, Salt Equilibrium, is very nice! Anju has a fun, carefree personality, and very professional and knowledgeable in regards to massage therapy!
The food was good, but my friend and I agreed it is a bit overpriced! Breakfast is made to order! The chocolate praline croissants were my favorite…oh! And chai lattes! Cocktails weren’t our favorite as I believe the bartenders were probably beginners. However, they do have nice wine selections!
Overall, our experience was excellent and we would most definitely rebook this hotel again! One recommendation would be to have transportation (motor bike or car) so you’re able to venture off to see other areas of the island! However, the hotel reception would be more than willing to book transportation for you!

TTarynAn amazing hotel right on the water with every room facing the water. The staff are friendly and always willing to help. Beautiful big rooms with lovely balconies. The dinner and breakfast were also really good, with a great variety and a lovely outdoor area to sit at.
I do however think the cleaning staff need to take a bit more care when cleaning. We were there for 6 nights and 3 of the nights we had to phone housekeeping because we did not have towels, or we did not get toilet paper, or we did not get our bath robes… and then housekeeping took at least 20-30minutes to bring the items.
The other thing was that they put a single duvet into a double duvet - so when you are sleeping there are many times when you only have a sheet and no duvet. Maybe change that.
Otherwise I really can’t complain about anything. There are plenty of beach chairs and there were always chairs available and it was an amazing and relaxing place.

On arrival the hotel is really beautiful - a small oasis tucked away with gorgeous colonial style. The reception staff were really lovely and made us feel welcome.
The room was really nice - but there were a few things we noticed (which we let slide at the start) - massive dirty lipstick mark on one of our water glasses, filthy lampshades above the bathroom sinks, bed linen that didn’t feel particularly fresh and the robes as well had a slight greyish colour rather than bright white which they were meant to be. These were all minor things at the start which we didn’t even mention to each other but did notice.
We then had our first night at the cocktail bar where our drink was served by the lovely barman (very polite and smily) - as we were drinking we saw a huge rat run across the terrace - we decided it was an island and maybe this is normal (although we really weren’t happy about it). We then were dining within the restaurant and again a huge rat was running towards the table. For us, this is not ok. We asked to move tables as we saw a rat and the waiters barely acknowledged it - didn’t offer any apology and then proceeded to avoid our table for the rest of the night. We informed the manager the next day who assured us he was aware and the rat had been caught, and to “give it a chance”. We weren’t offered so much as a complimentary drink. After dining in the restaurant again the second night and again seeing a rat - for us it was time to check out. Not only is it unpleasant seeing rodents running around while eating but I would say it’s a hygiene issue and makes me question the cleanliness of the kitchen and the safety of the food.
The only concession we were offered was to not pay for the remaining nights that we would not be staying for.
Really disappointing. On hindsight some things we would add about the whole experience:
- Not a 5 star in terms of food, service or cleanliness
- Staff really hit and miss - some very friendly some really rude and unhelpful
- Rooms didn’t feel clean
- Food was average - nothing felt fresh including breakfast
- Quite stingey with water - water not replaced within our room (had to ask for it)
We are now staying at a different hotel and haven’t seen one rat, so don’t think this is “just an island thing” as the manager stated. The service and food are also worlds apart which has really solidified that our review of 20 degres sud as completely justified - not a 5 star experience whatsoever.

But the truly outstanding thing about this place were the staff. Undoubtedly the heart and soul of the place. I definitely recommend anyone going to Mauritius to have a stay at this hotel. All of the staff that we came into contact with went out of their way to provide true Mauritian hospitality at its best! A highly recommended resort for couples and families.
The rooms were well-maintained with a clear sea view and a view of the plunge pool. The quality of food, upkeep of the restaurants and all public spaces were immaculate!
Many exciting water activities that were complementary with our stay as well as various themes provided at dinner time to keep guests entertained. Kevin and his team will be sure that you leave with the biggest smile on your face after each meal!

PPengguna TetamuWow! This was our 3rd trip to the beautiful island of Mauritius. 1st time on East coast. I was a bit apprehensive when I heard about the wind and it being winter. But no need. This is truly an amazing resort. I would like to thank each and EVERY member of Solana. From the security, gardener’s, cleaning staff, reception, waiters, chefs - I can carry on and on. Everybody was so genuinely friendly and helpful. Urvi thank you for my beautiful henna tattoo. Premula, for all the beautiful flowers and clean room. Andy at Lakaz Rum - you made the experience so much fun. Food was fabulous and in abundance. Whole resort was so clean and beautiful. Beachfront - paradise! And the wind everybody warned us about was no more than a breeze. Even the transfer from and to resort from airport was quick and so informative. Isfaaq, we will def speak to you again. This resort is the ideal location. Fantastiq!! Merci

離商場很近，旁邊一應俱全，周邊的路很好。可以看到印度洋的落日。圖中是我在房間窗口實拍的。
但是有兩個我覺得設計的比較奇葩的點：
1、浴室是部分無遮擋的玻璃設計，在外面的人可以透過玻璃看到裏面淋浴的人，對於帶娃的我，覺得有點尷尬，情侶可以忽略
2、廁所燈浴室燈是關不了的，衹能通過拔房卡斷房間電來實現關燈，很通透不關燈是沒有辦法入睡的。
關於這兩點，我覺得是存在着bug的，我認為應該有解決辦法，所以我兩次都打過電話和reception確認，這兩點酒店都回復所有房間都是一樣的，並不是單個房間的問題。
但是工作人員真是很好，他們幫我們訂車，幫我解決問題，都很熱情友好。
