This is a beautiful hotel. Set in an old historic former palace, it offers all the charm you’d expect from Relais Chateau destinations. The entrance to the hotel via car is somewhat inconspicuous, as the hotel is effectively set amidst a walled garden. When we arrived the manager rushed out to help us with our bags. I’d advise anyone arriving by car to call the hotel ahead if they need specific assistance with bags/cars etc. We found them very happy to help. We were lucky enough to stay in a suite with terrace. The room and terrace were spacious and beautifully appointed. Our terrace overlooked the harbour and was lovely and quiet. The hotels pool and sun beds were in keeping with the surroundings and save for a Sunday (when many things close in Ciutadella) was not busy throughout the week we stayed. Drinks around the pool could also be arranged via the bar near reception or when a member of staff passed. Either way they were served very quickly. The spa and spa pool were also nice and we had 1 hour per day use of these facilities included. Breakfasts were delicious and the table service was excellent. Breakfast was served within the walled garden and was very relaxing. A very nice way to start the day. We also ate in the restaurant here in the evening, twice. It’s beautiful with subtle lighting and a live pianist. The food was excellent, especially the beef tataki which was memorable. Most notably about this hotel is the presence of the manager. A very personable lady who was always around, particularly at breakfasts, checking everything was ok. Nothing was too much trouble and we felt the manager and the staff went above and beyond to ensure our stay was wonderful. It’s location in the beautiful old town of Ciutadella is excellent too. Thank you for a wonderful stay. We will be back.

Checked in by Laura on reception who was lovely and gave all the information needed. I stayed in 1125 one bedroom apartment with baloney view of the front of the hotel. Room had everything you needed for self catering as I was travelling alone. I had issues with my key card then the actual lock didn’t work I had to go to reception but Raffaella on reception she quickly called maintenance to come and look at it to fix. The pool area is so lovely, relaxing and well maintained. I didn’t eat in the main dinning all so I cannot comment on the food however ate at the pool bar a few times which was good and a good selection of drinks. All staff was friendly especially the ones at the pool bar and very accommodating. They made me feel safe especially travelling alone as a 25 year old girl. Ciutadella is a 25 min walk or you can get a taxi or the 64 bus for €1.60. Ciutadella is beautiful and has array of restaurants and bars to choose from. A small beach next to the hotel I couldn’t believe how clear the water was. Finally Alexandra, I believe she was the hotel coordinator asking everyone how they was doing, gave recommendations and just had a good conversation with her. I will definitely return

WOW what a wonderful place.The location was perfect.The manager and staff could not be faulted. They were so friendly and helpful.The cleaning staff were excellent and happy.Breakfast was enough to set you up for the day and staff were always topping up the selection. The local entertainment of people jumping into the sea from the rocks to the early nude swimming group was a bonus. Booked here for a week's holiday and were very pleased with the outcome. We picked the Patricia because it was a 5min walk from the main square and gave easy access to the old town, but was sufficiently outside of it to allow easy access\exit and parking for our hire car. Finding it was a doddle and there's ample parking along Passeig de Sant Nicolau to leave a car. Check in was easy, done it a couple of minutes and the room was a reasonable size, not the biggest, but not tiny either. Bathroom a nice size and a big waterfall style shower. Breakfast was included and the dining area in the basement was well laid out, well lit etc and the food selection was a decent light continental style spread. Staff were excellent, always on hand to help and provide info about stuff where they could. Cleaning staff were lightning quick in the mornings as well. We were very impressed! Our room overlooked the pool area and whilst we didn't make use of it, it was always immaculately kept and appeared popular with other guests. It's walled in from the street as well, so nice and private. Location was generally quiet and no issues, as there's a police station literally a block away! However, if you're in a room at the rear of the building you might get some noise in the evenings from the boat club that overlooks the harbour behind. Although we only really noticed this at the weekend (Fri\Sat) and that was mostly because we like to have windows open. With those closed, it was no real bother. All in all, a nice place to stay, good location, decent price and nice people. We'd definitely use again if we visit Citudella again.

We are six nights into our fourteen night half board stay and cannot fault this hotel. The rooms are lovely and clean with a bath and shower plus flat screen tv with some British channels and spacious balcony. The food is varied - everything you would expect for breakfast. For the evening meal starters have included muscles, prawns, smoked salmon, assortment of cheeses and cold meats, plus. Main meal choices include fish (tuna, sea bass, plaice, sole plus others) or meat (steak, lamb chops, roast pork, burger, etc) all cooked freshly plus many other dishes. Yes you have to wait a short time for the main meat/fish to be freshly cooked but worth it (hotel is busy and we have never had to wait very long). Puddings consist of various cakes, fresh fruit and ice cream. The food within the pre cooked hot containers is not as hot as we like, therefore, we make use of the microwave - one minute is all that is needed. The staff are very helpful and cannot do enough for you. The pool is kept lovely and clean, however, the overflow surround is slightly discoloured. The whole surface around the pool area is good to walk on - not slippery at all. We have used the public transport to get around the island and explore the two cities - very easy and on time. Cala Blanca is a quiet resort with limited facilities (a few supermarkets and several restaurants) - would recommend the half board option. Snack food and drink purchased at the hotel is roughly the same price as elsewhere. Very enjoyable.

We arrived before our apartment was ready and had an hour to kill, so went for something to eat at the pool bar, the food was not good, stone cold chips and a bacon coloured chicken burger, pizza that looked like a tortilla with cheese, which made us decide to give the resort food a miss. Keys collected and into the apartment, we were in Caleta Playa very close to the beach, with a fantastic view and a west facing balcony. The apartment was basic, 2 rings, toaster, microwave remember to take a sharp knife and coffee cups the room is only supplied with espresso cups. don't worry about towels or toilet paper the house keeping lady came everyday. Small shop on site and better shop about 7mins away. This is a remote place with very little nearby everywhere is a walk, bus or taxi, Cuitadella which 30 mins walk or 5 euro's in a taxi is a must, also good bus service. PROS, beautiful area super close to beach and clear sea. Plenty of sunbeds and 7 pools at the resort. Both bedroom and living area had AC House keeping everyday. Nearest bar is about 5 min's away ODEUM which is very nice with a Pizza van on site. Free security box helpful reception staff more than happy to get a taxi CONS, it's used and could really do with some investment, limited equipment in the apartments. Very poor Wifi Very limited for food and drinks near hotel.

The staff were all so friendly from start to finish . The room had everything we needed , safe , fridge , air con , pool view , large balcony. The room was peaceful, we had a drink on the balcony in the evening listening to that nights entertainment. I understand the evening entertainment will be reduced next year so will be a few nights a week . Food was beautiful, we ate breakfast when they opened , and did the same at dinner time , which had the double bonus of everything being hot and there being outside table space . I’m sure eating inside would have been fine too , but it was lovely to watch the sunset with dinner . Fabulous that there was no annoying towel reservation of sun beds , there would have been no need as there were free beds at any time of day . The outdoor pool was chilly , indoor warmer but you need to book , although we used it most days and were often alone . The sea was actually quite warm and warmer than both pools to swim in . The beaches of which there are at least 3 coves to the coast path to the right are small , again we went after breakfast most days and had the second cove round to ourselves for an hour or so . Lovely to watch the fish as the water was so clear. There’s not a long stretch of beach , but with decent sandals you can walk the slightly uneven coastal path in either direction , the left leads to a beautiful rocky cliff part of the sea with a ladder that goes down into it if you are a good swimmer . Then follow the path for 20 mins to the larger supermarket and souvenir shops . The bus into town is just past the little supermarket a road away from the hotel , and for a couple of euros it pops you into the town centre . We were looking for a peaceful relaxing break , and that’s exactly what we got , so much so that we have already rebooked for next year . This is a fairly new hotel , so there’s very little wear and tear . Everything is kept beautifully clean. I would say it’s definitely a couples hotel , rather than a family one , although there were a couple of babies/toddlers there the week we stayed.
