"We had a wonderful time at this hotel. It is a large property with all the perks of a big resort—like an aquapark, multiple pools, and great entertainment—yet it still manages to feel cozy and intimate. Even with full occupancy, the hotel was quiet (!), and there was absolutely no "sunbed war."What we loved:The aquapark: Very fun and attractive.The architecture: Low-rise, guest-friendly buildings. The tiled roofs, green shutters, and matching curtains create a wonderful, charming atmosphere.The downsides:The bathroom: It is definitely in need of refreshment.The food: Typical, average all-inclusive buffet.Overall, our stay was a big plus. Highly recommended!"

"Beautiful hotel, stunning pool and very clean. The pool bar has a lovely member of staff think her name was Alejandra (apologies if incorrect spelling) Was my birthday whilst I was there and the hotel brought me cava to my room, this was a nice touch. Evening entertainment was good but I think finished too early (just after 10pm) we ended up sitting on balcony listening to another hotels music which went on much later. Food was good, plenty of choice. Santa Thomas is a quiet resort but has nice coastal walk and a lovely beach."

"Love your setting, beautiful rooms. Bar and service in the bar need working on. Some staff,not all take far to long,many times had to go and search for someone to serve. Then we had to stand queueing because of build up of guess. Restaurant, 9 times out of 10 food not hot enough,many times just left it. Staff in restaurant work really hard. Last time we stayed here, many years ago,when it was a proper Restaurant up stairs food was excellent.Grounds and pools are excellent,kept beautiful.Staff do your hotel credit.Just work on the bar."

We complained to the hotel however they were very rude, made out we were lying. They finally cleaned the pool on our last day after several other familes complained."

"Very decent and lovely 3star hotel (could pass as 4star as well). We stayed one night while in town for the evening market. The pool is bigger that the pictures, and very nice. There are showers at each end of the pool, but bigger signs reminding people to shower before pool would be nice. The rooms were nice and clean, and we slept amazing well. Not the biggest breakfast, but it is a small town so easy to find a bakery and stock up. Parking was just nearby, and the small town in itself is really lovely and nice."

The staff were so kind and respectful, especially knowing I was travelling alone- attentive without being intrusive. Truly wonderful, I 'll definitely be back!"

"Our second visit to Binigaus Vell and not the last I am sure. This is a wonderfully quiet oasis of luxury in the Menorcan countryside with a large pool to cool off in. Tranquility reigns and is the perfect place to relax and get away from the crows. The staff and owners are all very helpful, friendly and professional. The breakfasts are very good as is the coffee (as opposed to some places where they have awful coffee!) In the evenings in the settings sun on the veranda in front of the finca we had some excellent meals and Menorcan wines. Our room was very comfortable and large with excellent AC. As an added bonus there is the beach at the bottom of the limestone gorge nearby which this year was once again sandy and a wonderful place to swim in crystal clear water. One of the best hotels on the island and its rural setting makes it a gem! Thank you all of you (and providing a beach umbrella during out short stay)"

"We arrived at this hotel when we got there we waited 20 minutes for reception staff who were talking then they growled your room won't be ready until 3.The room was very basic no kettle etc emergency sign in the bathroom it was still there when we left. My husband is partially sighted and there was no signs on the windows and a tiny grab rail in the bathroom , Food was not labelled so it was difficult for any one to know what is what. Drinks watered down and you have to pay €1as a deposit for a plastic glass, as for the beach once you climb down 180 steps blink and you will miss it ,,,I would rate the hotel 2***(I am a travel agent) It was disgusting how people were treated"

"First impressions were excellent; beautiful gardens and pool area, total tranquillity, friendly receptionist, welcome drink on the terrace. However on being shown to the room we were hugely disappointed. Although large and spacious it seemed damp and was cold (even though it was 25° outside). We had to ask for a heater! The furniture on the terrace (which overlooked a few olive trees and what I can only describe as a pile of rubble) was old and damp, you certainly wouldn’t want to sit on it with or without a pretty view. We ate in the restaurant in the evening after an aperitif in the garden. A nice touch would be to put candles on the tables in the garden. Once in the restaurant we were absolutely ignored for a while until someone finally came to show us to our table. The service started out being good but then became sporadic. Finesse was certainly lacking in a restaurant of this standard. We were left to pour our own wine, the food was not of a quality one would expect of an establishment at this level, there were no finger bowls to cleanse hands after de-shelling prawns, coffee was not offered and by the end we felt somewhat cheated. On the whole a rather disappointing stay. "

"Fantastic stay really enjoyed our holiday it's our last day tomorrow and the kids are really upset to be leaving which is always a good sign that they enjoyed it as much as we did. Rooms in the Prestige were spacious with air condinitions and ceiling fans that were extremely welcome after a hot day in the sun. The maids always very friendly and left the room spotlessly clean. If i had to point out a slight negative it would be the entertainment area was very warm due to them leaving the windows and doors open so the air conditioning was pretty much non existent highly recommend bringing handheld fans to take the edge off. Stand out for me was the staff who were all fantastic so friendly and couldnt do enough for the guests special mention to Francis who made our stay extra special. We will definitely be returning and would recommend the Prestige to friends and family."

"The room is not big, but the sea view is beautiful! The red-haired lady at the check-in front desk was very patient and nice, and explained every matter in detail! It gave us a very good impression when we first arrived at the hotel! Including booking a boat trip and a taxi to the airport, the entire front desk team was very active and professional! I especially want to emphasize the praise of the beautiful Manuela who is the receptionist at the cape nao restaurant on the ground floor. She is so nice, very enthusiastic and energetic! She helped us find a good dining seat, and asked us if the meal was cold and if we needed a shawl! She knew that girls like to take pictures, and she also helped us reserve a sea view table for dinner the next day! I was really touched! My whole heart was healed!"

"Lovely apartments sleeps 4 easily. 2 in the bedroom and 2 in the living area with pull out beds or sleep on the sofa beds. Really well equipped. Microwave, hairdryer all utensils. They have been described previously as basic but I don't think they are. You have everything you could need for self-catering. Lovely pool and well-kept gardens. Shops, supermarkets, and restaurants just outside the entrance. Beach over the road. It's such a beautiful area. With a gorgeous beach. Many returning guests who have been coming for years. Cleaners were really friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay again. Excellent shower, powerful and water hot."

"Loar has three kinds of accommodation - hotel/suites in one building and apartments and studios is the adjoining building. The buildings are seamless on he ground floor but separate lifts service the two buildings. We stayed in a one bedroom apartment which has a balcony big enough for two chairs so great for looking at the comings and goings of locals and their families and what was going on in the square. The 12 apartments have outward facing balconies whereas the studios face the rear. I think it is worth the extra cost to have an apartment as we spent a fair amount of time just enjoying the atmosphere of the town. I don't know about the hotel rooms as we much prefer the space of an apartment and the flexibility to cook our own meals and snacks. The apartment was clean, comfortable and well equipped. The highlight was the roof terrace with views, loungers, lovely pool and jacuzzi. There is also an indoor heated pool which was a bit awkward to access as unless the restaurant was open the only way in was via a spiral fire escape. Being able to choose which pool you fancied was a real treat and we mostly had the roof terrace to ourselves. The town itself had no real must-sees for tourists but it was a convenient base to explore the island. Although Loar does not offer parking we always found a space within a few minutes' walk. There are enough places to eat and drink with three decent sized supermarkets, a butcher and fishmonger if you wanted to cook. The apartment facilities made this easy. It is quite surprising to have such a large establishment in an inland town but it seemed quite busy and the bar & restaurant were popular. I certainly recommend Loar and Ferreries. Staying in a central town worked well for us. Don't hesitate to stop at a cheese producer, signposted everywhere. Mahon cheese is excellent."

"Just returned from these apartments, bit of a bumpy start but all sorted in a matter of minutes, no kettle but as soon as i told them one was brought up to my room ,also fridge door there was no shelves to store milk and stuff informed them of this a new fridge and toaster was also brought up to my room,so all in all I was more than pleased ,rooms lovely and comfortable plenty of space big bathroom and bedroom air con was fab considering it was 34 dig ,area bit quiet but that was what we wanted 2 restaurants across the road also a gift shop ,supermarket about a 15 min walk just turn right outside main entrance 4 th turning g left 1,/2 way down that road ,bus stop just outside the hotel runs every 1/2 hour taxis very reasonable, beach just outside the back of hotel 5 min walk if that ,we walked into citudella took us about 20/25 min walk ,also walked to cala blanis took us approx 40 min slow walking ,if you want a nice quiet break this is perfect slept like a baby all week ,was a bit weary when I read the reviews but we were more than happy with this hotel ,can't comment on the food because we went self catering out every evening for meal snacks in the day ,there is a shop in the hotel for bread water and bits .we had top floor facing the pool lift to take you.up was a bonus.thete ate three pools one big one that's in pictures and 2 smaller ones that's in the other blocks."

"Located somewhat out of the center, but with good views of the harbor. The room was very, very small, with barely any room to walk between the bed and the table or the window. I had to get dressed in the hallway. The price of the room is no excuse for meeting minimum room standards. The spa was small, but enough to relax for a while. The breakfasts were phenomenal. Variety and quality. The staff was very attentive and friendly. I would definitely stay again, but in a different room."

"We enjoyed our recent stay, we've been there about 4 times now so they must be doing something right. We'd give the food 7 out of 10 as there's always plenty to choose from, the temperature us often lukewarm which is common to lots of hotels. They charge more for water in the evenings than they do in the daytime 7 euros versus 4 euros per litre which are both exorbitant. One evening they started to pack things away too early which limited what food we had access to. I pointed this out at the time and the missing items were sourced for me. There's entertainment most evenings which are good to watch whilst having a beer. The hotel is spotlessly clean throughout and the staff are welcoming and polite. There are minor parts if the hotel that are starting to show their age so a winter 2026 refurb would be beneficial."

"Good and tranquil location, however the facilities are quite dated (e.g. rusty light fixtures, pealing bathroom cabinets, junky elevator). This does vary between buildings as I noticed the main building (reception area) is newly renovated and decorated. Although the cleaner came in everyday, towels and sheets were not changed (we stayed for five days). Seems like it’s a very basic clean as some spots were missed like surfaces and even the floors (we couldn’t walk barefoot as we’d get stuff stuck to the bottom of our feet). Not huge issues but morewas expected from a 4 star establishment."

"Except the location, everything else was disappointing during our 2 weeks holiday in this hotel. It’s nowhere near a 4* hotel as advertised. Well… the tourist charge is for a 4* plus hotel?! A 4 * hotel doesn’t charge for beach towels, we always had towel cards for this service. Reception area was old & tired and the staff was not willing to help with anything at all, customer service is non-existent. You can go to the other 4* plus Seth hotel on the main street nearby to see how a proper hotel of this rating looks like, looks miles away compared to Mestral & Llebeig. The sofa bed was uncomfortable and the air conditioning doesn’t work very well in the bedrooms, there is no remote control either. Even though there is a control unit in the room, we had no instructions for it so we had to wake up throughout the night to turn it on and off. The rooms are basic, not to the standard of a 4* hotel and the beds are quite hard even with a topper. They didn’t change the towels or bed sheets regularly during the cleaning (every 4 days), only a quick floor mopping and that’s it. Rubbish bags weren’t collected either on cleaning day. The shower has a long tray but there is no door to get in so the water splashes everywhere. The restaurant was very poor, way too small for the amount of guests and badly managed. There is no air conditioning so you end up sweating during the dinner, quite often there are queues to get in and then more queuing for food. The food was average quality, repetitive and often dirty plates were put out for the buffet. Sometimes a dish was mixed with another food and no staff was there to supervise what’s going on in the buffet area. Salt & pepper was missing on some tables which are often “cleaned” in a rush. During the dinner, no water is available – for what we paid, at least water with meals should be included in the price. In the morning they had “orange juice” from a machine (water mixed with something) and the drinking water was warm from the same dispenser. Coffee was the same regardless of what you select from the coffee machine. We had a late flight home and have asked if we can keep the room for a late check out, more than happy to pay for this service. We’ve been told come back a day before we leave. We did that early in the morning only to be told that the hotel is fully booked and we can’t have a late check out. Out of curiosity, we went back in the evening (because someone else was on reception) and they said there were a few rooms available but were allocated in the morning?! When we told them that in the morning we were told differently, they changed it to the same story saying the hotel is fully booked. We walked past our room around 5pm and there still wasn’t anyone in it, we knew this because we left the curtains in a certain way and they were in the same position. The hotel doesn’t offer a courtesy room as most of the hotels do when you leave so we ended up taking a shower opposite reception. I should’ve taken a "
