Ya'ax Hotel Boutique

The staff were very friendly, the room was very comfortable! Fantastic Breakfast and Spa! Excellent dining options nearby. We loved the hotel vibe and it was a peaceful retreat for a couple of days in our visit to this beautiful city of Merida

Certainly not a 5 star hotel, would probably give 3 and not more. Dark and small rooms. We had a feeling that the hotel is not properly looked after - not proper cleaning of rooms, bedsheets in one of the rooms were not changed from the previous guests, dirty pool and area around. Very limited breakfast choice. After returning back a a hotel at around 8pm on Christmas eve there was music and lights at the bar, but we were told that the bar is closed. The place has potential, but is poorly managed.

The hotel is very beautiful and super clean. All meals (including breakfast ) are prepared when ordering. Very friendly staff/owners, you feel welcome and at home. At walking distance of the center of Merida and also the parking is close by. We recommend the hotel!

My partner and I spent a couple of nights at the gorgeous Ya'ax Hotel. The hotel was beautifully decorated and super clean. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the location of the hotel was in a great spot. We would stay there again next time we go to Merida.

Very disappointing. We arrived at night (and we had previously communicated this to the hotel) and front desk staff was not welcoming at all. Overall, the reception was not that of a boutique hotel, but the worst thing was when we arrived to the room. First of all, furniture is cheap. We got the queen Suite (Room 10) - for reference. Even though the hotel is very “instagramable”- the quality of the furniture and shower and room in general is not very good quality which makes the experience not a Boutique one. As for the amenities, also not boutique-standard - a small bottle of water and everything else (even pringles) was for sale. We supposedly got a Queen Suite. Disclaimer: it doesn’t have a Queen mattress, it is two single beds with different consistencies one next to the other pretending to be a queen mattress. The gap between mattresses feels terribly and one mattress is older than the other which makes one “side of the bed” more comfortable than the other. At night there are terrible noises outside and there are no blinds on the bathroom which lets light in to the bed from the early morning. Overall I don’t think this hotel should be called Boutique. Service and attention is not the best and the place is only instagramable but I don’t think it’s worth it’s price. We ended up canceling our stay and moved to another hotel as our night was not pleasant. For the same price you can get a Fiesta Americana Club room with way more luxury and quality.

This quaint boutique hotel was such a pleasant surprise. The staff was friendly and attentive. The intimate restaurant served every meal to order, and all were delicious. Guadeloupe, the desk receptionist, assured we had everything we needed.

Beautiful, elegant, quiet small hotel in a good location. Walking distance to most sites, including Plaza Grande. Excellent restaurant. Best breakfast of any hotel anywhere. Attentive friendly service. Comfortable bed and pillows. Free wifi in room and restaurant. Pretty pool area and lovely patio. Nice lobby bar. Very quiet. Air conditioning. Small boutique hotel.

Amazing and beautiful hotel with great food and spa, but what stands out of everything is the great service provided by the staff, you really feel at home, everyone is amazing! I cant wait to come back to Merida!

Small boutique hotel. Rooms are a bit small but beds were very comfortable, AC worked well. Very nice hot breakfast every day included. A little over 1/2 mile to either Plaza Grande or St Lucia square. Take a right put of the hotel and go to C 60, left Plaza Grande and right St Lucia
