Hotel Eliseo Terme

I´ve tried several terme in Italy, tried Montegrotto terme for the first time. Hotel Eliseo Terme was not 4 stars experience, but so much more than 3 stars. Positive impressions: - Beautiful thermal bath facilities. Clean, well-equipped baths and enough space for everyone. Long opening hours. Water itself was amazing. I felt some positive effects on my body from day 1. - Very good and efficient kitchen and restaurant. Had rich buffet breakfast and 4-course dinner + a bottle of local wine that was an excellent choice. Great friendly staff and teamwork. I´d like to thank them for making my stay pleasant at Hotel Eliseo. - Overall nice and spacious room. - "Le fonte" the spring directly from the thermal water source, was tiny, but really brilliant. - Good location. Just 10 minuites walk from Terme Euganee-Abano-Montegrotto train station. Not-so-positive-impressions: - I felt AI-robots could stand at the reception instead. Many staff behind the front desk were somehow robotic, mostly distracted by PC or telephone. I encountered one nice lady, but the others were *not* pleasant at all. - Ashtray on the balcony wasn´t emptied, or an empty bottle of soap wasn´t re-filled in the bathroom when I arrived. They didn´t have time to tidy up my room sometimes either. Layer of dust got thicker. It was not too bad, but cleaning could be definitely better. - I heard this was common around Abano/Montegrotto. But they use sanitizer in the thermal pools. I couldn´t use one of the pools with sodium chloride, because it irritated my skin, and also made me unwell due to the smell coming up from bubble jets. Personally, it went well with the pool with liquid oxygen.

The best coccolata, piscine grandi pulitissima ottimo cibo e stanze. Ottimi prodotti da bagno. Personale sempre disponibili e simpatici. In centro Montegrotto e vicino a tutto. Consigliato. Tornerò sicuramente . Soggiornato sia camera superiore che comfort belle e confortevoli. Vasta scelta di dolci

A very bad start of our 4 night stay. They advertise 2 type of rooms that Can accomodate a family. We meticulously check their website and went for a Deluxe room not as it has modern bathroom. At our arrival We were given a Comfort room with an old fashion bathroom that We definitely do not recall booking or choose. As customer I expect rooms to reflect the pictures advertised On their website. They Did not want to switch us to another room claiming what We got is nice and is the only type of room that Can accomodate a family. Meaning They dont have deluxe room only Comfort old-fashion one. So just update your website not falsely claim your customers have a choice

My husband has been having knee pain for few years and we decided to try mud treatment for it. Mud therapy of Abano and Montegrotto Terme is a natural treatment that is supposedly helps with joint diseases. There is even a patent for the active ingredient. We had a package of 12 treatments. Mud treatments were administered in a professional manner. No complains. But massages that are also part of the packaged treatment are not real massages. It is just a gentle spreading of oil over body. At the end of the treatment we were well moisturized but our muscles did not get any looser. Hotel also has nice pools with thermal mineral water and "massaging" features. Very inventive. With a push of a button you get water jets in different configurations. We had a half-board - breakfast and dinner. Breakfast was the same every day. Better than an average US hotel breakfast but is not as good as at most other European hotels. Dinner offerings were different every day. There was no repeats in primi and secondi during our 2 weeks stay. But only a few dishes were good. Fish was generally not a good choice. My guess would be - prepared in advanced to feed 100s of guests at the same time and kept warm until served, thus, it was becoming dry and rubbery by the time it was served. Dessert, on the other hand, was spectacular and many different cakes to chose from. On some of the days I just had buffet appetizers, skipped primi and secondi and went straight for dessert. Extra 4 pounds that I brought back from this vacation is the direct consequence. Rooms were disappointing. When I was selecting this hotel I thought that I was getting good value for the money. Other hotel-spas in the area that looked as good were a lot more expensive. I was wrong. Saying "you get what you paid for" is fully applicable to this hotel. I booked superior room that looked fabulous on the website and was supposed to be 23 m2 (248 square foot). First room we got was not more than 18 m2, the size of the "comfort" room. When we complained, we were told that each room is different and a big terrace makes our room "superior". There is not much use for the terrace in the winter. We were moved to a bigger room after a couple of nights. It was ~23 m2 but still nothing like the website pictures. Simple and modest. Although, the view was great (attached photo). In general, Montegrotto is a simple town. There is one good restaurant - Ristorante Villa Liviangior. All others are eateries and pizza places. Nearby Abano is more upscale based on my pre-trip research. But mud is the same and Montegrotto is better located for day trips. That was my reason for selecting Montegrotto. Treatments are in the morning and there is no treatments on Sunday. It is also possible to have a "break" day. Schedule is flexible. From Eliseo it is 5 minutes walk to the train station. Trains are frequent and always on time. Monselice is an interesting place to visit - 7 minute train ride, Padua - 30 min, Venice - 45 min ,

Ritorno all'hotel Eliseo, poco distante dal centro di Montegrotto, con piacere, a partire due piscine calde, per il suo buon cibo, on buona cena e ricca colazione. La camera è sufficiente per trascorrere un paio di giorni, con buona sonorizzazione. Da provare.

Bellissimo hotel personale gentilissimo e disponibile, camera pulita e piscine stupende con molto spazio anche all'aperto, menù del ristorante vario e cibo buono.buona anche la colazione. Hotel a pochi minuti da Padova consigliata per farci un giro.
