I stayed at this hotel in Silver Springs on Colesville Rd in March 2023. Both nights of my stay, I was not able to sleep because of the group next door. The second night, I called downstairs twice, after I was not able to sleep because the group next door kept banging on my door, yelling on the floor, and partying. Both times, I was told that even though the hotel has a policy stated on all floors that the hotel was quiet as a mandate from 11pm-7am, there was nothing they could do. I’m not a particularly light sleeper either. This led to me not being able to sleep all night both nights, it ruined my stay, and it is simply not acceptable to run a hotel where management denies guests the basic right to sleep in the hotel because they can't manage other guests. When I went downstairs in the morning to follow up, the person at the front desk seemed confused and told me that the standard response is to send security to manage the group. This was never offered, nor what the person at the front desk did. I find all of this unacceptable. I was staying there for a conference and I was not able to do the work I should have reasonably expected to be able to do because I was exhausted from travel and unable to rest. I think the very basic function of a hotel and the reason people stay at hotels is that they expect to be able to sleep in the room that they have been assigned. If you can't provide that, then I don't know why you offer people rooms at a price.

We could not have been more surprised when we found a sympathy note and a tray of crackers, cheese, fruit, and a split of wine upon returning to our room the day after a family gathering at the hospital grieving our brother’s death. We have stayed at this hotel many times when visiting our brother in Gaithersburg and every time the staff has been friendly, professional, competent, and attentive. Great location, great staff, good food, nice bar.

EXCELLENT ON ALL LEVELS!! We had a very last minute need for the weekend stay which caused extreme stress especially on a holiday weekend. We were greeted and checked in by Malik who from hello made us feel very welcome and we knew our stay that was ahead would be exceptional. The room was very clean, spacious and the beds were comfortable also. Each and every employee that we crossed paths with from the front desk, housekeeping and valet looked as though they actually enjoy their job. (not often you find that anymore). We absolutely recommend Hyatt Regency Bethesda for anyone staying in the area. We will be booking a large rooms for our wedding guests to stay here without doubt as we know they will be well taken care of. Malik went above and beyond to make sure there was nothing we needed, made great local recommendations and overall made sure our family as well as any other guest we saw crossed his path was well taken care of . This hotel is deserves 5 Stars without question!!

This hotel was really a pleasant surprise after reading some of the less-than-glowing recent reviews. We stayed there years ago and it was just okay. But the criticisms must have hit home because the room was clean (and spacious enough not to feel cramped), it was quiet, the bed was comfortable, and the hotel staff was among the friendliest, most responsive and most helpful I've run into (I've stayed in my share of hotels and I put a premium on the service end of things). If you compare the price to other hotels in the DC area, even taking into account the Courtyard's nightly parking fee ($18/night) , it is a bargain. They have plenty of parking with both an outdoor lot and a large (and well lit) basement garage. The hotel is a 5 minute walk to the Friendship Heights Metro station (the Metro trip from there to downtown took only 22 minutes )and there are a number of good eateries and shopping locations within easy walking distance. Chevy Chase is a very nice town too for those of you who are not familiar with the area. We were there over Easter weekend and this place blew away anything comparable that I looked at elsewhere in DC when it came to price. I've stayed in a few of the higher end hotels downtown (mostly near the Capitol) and paid 2 to 3 times as much for rooms that were smaller and in hotels that had the same or fewer amenities. And the biggest surprise was that the food at their restaurant was pretty good. Most hotels in this price range do not have stellar food and I usually avoid the food. But we arrived late, were tired and thus gave it a shot. We got a good burger and a nice Caesar salad. If you don't want to pay the arm and a leg that you'll pay to be downtown or even in other areas in or near DC, but still be close enough to see or do anything you would do from a downtown hotel, then this is your place. We would definitely stay here again.

No hot water for shower or shave. For a $300 room, I found this unbelievable.

They saved the day. I got the runaround at the doubletree in silver spring that same day. Totally unprofessional setup those guys have. The Marriott courtyard however is a spot I been to several times and never had a bad experience.

This is one of the finest places I’ve ever stayed. Not because of any luxury (it’s nice good breakfast etc). It clean, it’s well run. The staff make this place work. This is a serious serious kind of place for serious travelers who do not necessarily love travel. They are attentive polite and of adequate number to care for its guests. They are good about stuff like coffee in the lobby ALL THE TIME. Room cleaning is abundant. It’s just a good, well run store!!

Great place for your next event! I needed to schedule an event for 50 in Gaithersburg with attractive lunch options. This property exceeded my expectations with quick and comprehensive event planning support, great menu, free parking, modern and attractive meeting space with an enormous lounge and patio that faced the lake on the 2nd floor. Menu options were plentiful and reasonably priced. Selected several sandwiches which were large artisan creations, salads and desserts that were enjoyed by all. IT and Audio-Visual equipment worked perfectly too! The staff went above and beyond with excellent communication and service delivery making it a great experience.
