The Star Inn

Thank you for another great evening meal 10 people’s plates left clean compliments to the chef I must thank you for accommodating for the 4 ceoliacs in our party and being able to offer them a GF sweet Thank you we really appreciate it you’d be surprised how many places do not cater for ceoliacs !!

Some pubs have a great vibe, others not so much, obviously that is a personal view but this one I feel is strictly for the regulars. Fortunately the weather was warm on our visit so sitting outside was an option.

We were visiting the area for a family birthday party and booked the Star Inn for 3 nights. The landlady welcomed us and we booked dinner on two nights. The food is absolutely delicious. We love Greek food. The mixed mezze for two was especially to be recommended. Service was excellent, prompt and efficient. We didn’t have to wait for too long. Breakfasts were plentiful, hot and delicious too. The rooms are in chalets around the car park, well equipped with a TV, hairdryer, tea, free WiFi and coffee making facilities, armchairs, with outdoor seating outside the chalet. The shower was efficient. The room was spotlessly clean and the bed and pillows were very comfortable. There was optional heating, which we didn’t need as it was warm enough. Overall, the hotel was good value. The village, the area are all welcoming warm and friendly and worth a walk and a bit of exploration.

Stayed for two nights. Although the typical sign in the bathroom about towels , it turns out that the room is not serviced. Therefore, handwash not replaced, coffees, etc. Shower mat not clean (black mould) and rug needed a good clean. The chairs in the bedroom need proper repair. The room could have been so much better - a decent size. Expensive for what we had.
