年末年始休暇、家族4人（夫婦、小学生2人）で2泊しました。こちらの宿、2022年10月に別の旅館だったところを居抜き改装してオープンしたようで、日本人向けというより外国人向けの気がします。 スタッフの方々はもちろん日本語でコミュニケーションとれますが、外国籍の方々のようでした。どのスタッフもフレンドリーでした。 奈良は初めてだったのですが、立地が良かったです。 奈良公園に近く春日大社等の神社エリアはすべて徒歩圏内です。 お洒落な飲食店が多数存在するエリアでもあり、大人なら楽しめると思います。 我が家は食事の好き嫌いが多い小学生二人連れだったので、バーや居酒屋というよりファミレスやイタリアンが好みなのですが、まあなんとかなりました。 エレベータがないのですが、チェックイン前に預けたスーツケースや荷物は部屋まで運んでおいてくれました。木造建築なので壁も薄く、大声禁止の張り紙ありました。 お風呂は温泉で泉質もよいのですが、お世辞にも広いとは言えません。男性風呂はシャワー3つ、脱衣場に鍵付きロッカーが10個ほどありますが、大人二人が同時に着替えたら窮屈なほどでした。大人なら同時に2人程度がベター、3~4人が入れば満員だと思います。家庭風呂を少し大きくした程度です。 コインランドリーが1台ありました。洗剤は各自用意する必要がありますが、洗濯機と乾燥機があり、長期滞在者や荷物を最小限に抑えたい人にはお勧めです。 必要なアメニティはフロントに置いてあります。 部屋に冷蔵庫とテレビがないため、割り切ってしまえばよいですが、コンビニで買ってきた酒を部屋で飲む場合には少し不便でした。 部屋のトイレもリフォーム済で、きれいな家庭用トイレという感じです。

The best hotel experience we had in the entire Japan trip. The room is very spacious (about 30-40 square meters by my estimation) and it is spotless clean. Staff is super friendly and helpful. I especially like the Japanese style room design where you take off your shoes at the front door and enter the elevated wooden floored room. The location is unbeatable - only 3 mins walk from the Nara train station, on a small tourist street with tons of small shops and restaurants. The room is very quite even though it is on the tourist street.

The hotel is near to Nara Station JR. just 10 minutes walking. Also is very close to the Nara Park and so many places for food around. The room is big, lots of space. Bed is very comfortable and bathroom is good. The service is really amazing. I arrived before the check in and they sent my luggage to the room directly. Very recommended.

I stayed at this hotel for two nights and loved it. The staff was very nice and check in/out was simple. The hotel had a lot of traditional aspects to it and I loved the room. The room was traditional and modern and had all the needed amenities. The hotel is right by the station and a short walk from Nara Park and the downtown area. I would definitely stay here again.

デイユースで利用しました。12時間滞在で3500円、さらのデイユースプランでも朝食がつきます。個人的にアボカドと鶏肉の炒め物が美味しかったです。スムージーまで用意されていて満足できました。 お部屋は窓の外がビルの壁しかない部屋と、景色が広い部屋があるので、あらかじめ景色の広い部屋をリクエストしたほうがいいです。一階のカフェスペースも10時以降自由に使えてコーヒー飲み放題でした。テレワークでこの宿はオススメできます。

何と言っても、JR奈良駅から近いのがいい。徒歩で３分ほどだ。併設の駐車場は立体式になっているから、セキュリティー面でも安心。二人だとちょっと狭く感じるかも。セミダブルベッドはちょうど良い固さで寝心地もいい。窓にはカーテンがない代わりに、障子戸になっている。こういう雰囲気の部屋もたまにはいいもの。五階と九階にはコインランドリーと自販機（一階にも）、電子レンジは一階と五階に、無料の製氷機は五階にもあるので長期滞在にも便利。近くにはコンビニや、奈良駅まで行けば商店街があって食事処もあるので素泊まりでも十分。財布と相談する旅なら、うってつけのホテル。

GGoh Li ShanNara Visitor Centre and Inn is charming place located right next to Sarasuwa pond. It is about 7 mins walk from the Kintetsu Nara station. Very near to Kofukuji temple. I stayed from 15-17 June 2023.
I felt warmly received by the staff on duty at the inn. Quite a lot of them are Mandarin and English speaking. I really appreciate one of the elderly gentleman’s staff warmth when he took the time to explain to me the attractions around the inn that I can visit, and he speaks Mandarin very well! I also appreciate the other staff’s eagerness to assist when I asked them questions about tours or to recommend places for breakfast.
A shoutout also to Yukina, who entertained me when I wanted to do the cosplay and Japanese calligraphy. I also really enjoyed the Japanese dance activity provided during my stay. I really enjoyed my stay here :)
I booked a Japanese style room, 8 tatami mats. Spacious for 1. Toiletries provided are sufficient. view from the room showed Kofukuji temple but was blocked by a tree. The only issue I had was that I was given the room at the end of the corridor. I personally preferred not to have a room at end of corridor for personal reasons, but the room was bright, airy and comfortable, and I was happy with it so did not request for a change.

We booked 1 room with 3 beds for 3 people, due to the booking system could input only 2 names, we have 1 person’s name missing.
The 2 ladies in the front desk of the hotel told that we need to pay extra JPN 3900 for the additional bed. Or, we could only have 2 beds for 3 people.
I said no, because it’s included in the room charge, we paid already. The ladies have no will to help us to solve the problem, but very interested in charging more.
Try to imagine, will 2 people book 3 beds room for 2 beds? why don’t people book a same type standard room to save some money?
Please contact with your agent to fix your booking system.
Finally a gentleman of the hotel helped to negotiate,and we could live here.
The room is really nice and clean. But the service is the worst I’ve ever seen in Japan.

TTrek17439042464This is the first hotel I left before my stay was over literally in decades - and as it was a no-frills booking, of course no money back. The location isn't half as good as people in the reviews make it out to be; it's a big mass hotel with a Japanese theme only; it's two stars at best (here three; the booking website gave four). The real problem was the rundown, smelly, not deeply cleaned room, and I get - and chose - the Japanese style, but that doesn't mean you won't have any English information at all, nor functionable electricity plugs, and normally if you need to lie down and rest, a futon bed will be made up for you. When arriving, the staff member showing me the room couldn't open the door for five minutes because of the lock, and that stayed symbolical. As the worst was the unfriendly (male) reception staff, the lowest level of hospitality ever, unprofessional to the max - I think they didn't try to accommodate me (literally and figuratively) as they thought if I'd leave they'd keep the money but could rerent the room, as there was some festival in town. Never looking for solutions, always thinking from convenience from their side - from useless waiting to always having better things to do to talk to guests to not even trying to help in any way to create a nice stay. It's rare in Japan that people with an unhospitable attitude work in hospitality. I'm usually neither grouchy nor unduly demanding, as my long track record of tripadvisor reviews shows - this was really a lowpoint of lodging in my life, and one of two of the worst places I ever stayed in East Asia. I was really glad to leave and be back on the train to Kyoto, and I recommend anyone to book a nice Ryokan or a good global-Western hotel in Nara instead.

PPengguna TetamuExceeded expections on all grounds! I am so happy with the hotel I wanted to spread the word. This hotel has great old world charm and more. I was a little worried about the condition of the hotel (more than 100 years old!) but everything was fine. I stayed at the Main Wing / basic room with park view. The bathroom was basic (business hotel like) but very clean, but the room / bedding and the view at our window was wonderful. Given the low price point, we were very happy with the room. Definitely recommend the Main Wing, and if you can, a room with higher price point.
All staff, from shuttle bus / concierge / front desk / bar, are excellent. We really enjoyed the check in process - you can sit at the lounge admiring Einstein's piano while the front staff comes calling your name. Also try the tea lounge both during the day and night (turns to a bar). I would also like to extend special thanks to Korean speaking front manager Lee Su Jin who helped us in so many ways. She really made our stay comfortable.
One thing to note about Nara city itself is that most venues close at 4pm and have unpredictable operating hours. You can't just walk around hoping to sit down at a cafe or restaurant. Highly recommend making reservations in advance of your trip and I'm sure Nara hotel concierge can help with this.
I really enjoyed Nara Hotel and look really forward to returning.

DDouphis Pierre OlivierUn hôtel qui ne paie pas de mine à première vue mais qui vaut vraiment qu'on y reste quelques jours. La chambre est très propre et très calme. Le lit est bon. Le personnel est très sympathique et à l'écoute. le petit déjeuner est un peu frugal...
Ils pourraient faire quelque chose de très bien sur la terrasse sur le toit (ça viendra peut-être).
Mais surtout la situation géographique est parfaite ! A côté de la gare Kintetsu, de la rue Higashimuki où se trouve beaucoup de restaurants et du temple Kofuku-ji qui fut ma première visite dans un temple de Nara. Le parc où se trouve les autres temples n'est pas loin à pied, ou à vélo. J'ai passé un très bon moment ici.

On my inaugural visit to Nara City, I enjoyed staying at “Toyoko Inn Kintetsu Nara Ekimae.” The hotel’s proximity to the train and bus stations made transportation incredibly convenient. The staff’s smiles were ever-present, and their eagerness to assist guests was commendable. The cleanliness of the rooms, coupled with the presence of windows, allowed for a scenic view of the outside world and the sunlight to grace the room’s interior—a rarity among business hotels. The breakfast buffet offered a selection of Western foods and highlighted some local specialties. All of this came at a reasonable price, providing a quality, comfortable experience that left a lasting impression.

PPengguna Tetamu一見時代を感じる建物ですが、一歩足を踏み入れると丁寧にお手入れされた懐かしい空間が広がっていました。 宿泊したお部屋「淡藤」は本当に素敵なお部屋でした。 広々とした畳のお部屋で、天井も高く「祖父母の家に泊まりに来た」気分を味わえます。夜になりお庭を見たらさり気なくライトアップされていて、粋だなぁと思いました。 コロナ禍ということもあり、スタッフの方とお会いできたのは1度だけでしたが、それでもおもてなしの心をたっぷり感じ取ることができました。 またおじゃまさせていただきたいと思います。
