Overall is ok but expensive . Location is good . Perfect for business. Breakfast not that good & very costly. Service need to improve but for me is ok . It’s in the Times Square all amenities is there . Room size is ok . Hotel should low down there breakfast cost in USA . Compare to other countries New York hotel is not that good .

Chatwal is literally steps away from Times Square yet is an oasis when entering lobby. Quiet, excellent service, great accommodations. I mentioned to valet I would need my car by 6am. I was called by 5:50 and keys were brought to my room. Excellent service.

First, I'd like to thank Daniel, Efren, Omar, and the entire staff for their excellent service. They made this trip truly enjoyable and demonstrated why one should choose to stay at the CDMX above all other options. The hotel is beautiful and a truly luxurious experience. Furthermore, this hotel is in the middle of everything. It's very easy to walk to nearly every tourist destination and it's right on the hop on/hop off bus route. I would highly recommend for you trip to CDMX.

The first thing I will mention is that the hotel is 5 star and is expectedly, very expensive, being in the heart of Times Square. I took this into account when writing my review. If I am paying that much, my expectations would be higher than normal. I stayed for 12 nights over the Christmas and NY period so I obtained a very comprehensive view of the hotel and everything about it. Overall it was a very comfortable stay and the staff were always there to attend to any requests and issues. The moment I got out of my transfer car, there was a lovely young gentleman waiting to get all my bags and transport me upstairs to the reception. The check-in was reasonably flawless but there was a bit of confusion around the payment because of resort fees the hotel charges daily. I prepaid my booking and there was confusion over whether it included or excluded the resort fee. The reception area is immaculately presented and the bar and restaurant are both located here. I intended to use the gym during my stay, but didn't have time to even take a peek. Nor did I visit the bar or restaurant. There's way too many options outside to do that. The very polite and courteous young gentleman then took me up to my room. He showed me everything and away he went. I got a bit of a room upgrade which I highly appreciated and had a beautiful view of Times Square. I was on the 2nd highest floor, floor 39. The room is not big. It was adequate for one person but nothing more. I don't think I would be able to stay here if I was with another person. It would be too uncomfortable and I had to find space for my 2 suitcases and carry-on. The bathroom is open plan, with a door for the shower and toilet. A big problem I had in my room was that if it was windy you will hear a loud whistle coming through the bottom of the front door. It really annoyed me. I had to take the cover off the bed and make a snake shape to block the gap underneath the door to stop the noise. Even a bath towel didn't work. They need to fix this. The hotel is very new and the rooms are very beautifully equipped, presented and maintained. I was pleased to see that most of the things I requested before I arrived (some extra bath mats, bath towels, hand towels, face towels, mini fridge, bathroom scale) were mostly there upon arrival. I quantified the number of towels I needed as I was not getting any housekeeping during my 12 night stay but I did not get the quantity requested. I expected a bit more attention to detail for a 5 star hotel. Before I arrived I was asked if I was celebrating a special occasion and Guest Services pushed up my expectations as I was celebrating a special occassion and they said something nice, I assume maybe a cake or some alcohol would be waiting for me in the room. When I arrived there was nothing. And there was never going to be anything throughout my stay. I didn't mind and only remembered towards the end of the stay. Also on our last night helped us tremendously as far as transportation to the airport since there were road closures due to a parade We were able to get a car right at our door and not have to use a taxi nor other! Très bon séjour. La chambre est correcte propre contenant une cafetière et un mini bar ou nous avions des bouteilles d eau tous les jours. Proche de plusieurs station de métro idéal pour se déplacer. Quartier agréable et peu bruyant. Le rooftop est très sympa même en hiver la vue donne sur l Empire state building bien sur le bar est fermé mais on peut contempler la vue. Merci au personnel très professionnel et agréable. Nous n avons pas tester les petits déjeuner. Nous sommes des globes trotter et je recommande cette hôtel pour un séjour.

Great location. But the service standards absolutely disappointed. In room telephone was not working and despite repeated complaints it was not repaired through my stay of 4 nights. So basically we had to go down all the way to reception every time we wanted something at the room. From toiletries to food to water. Even the front desk as well as the duty manager simply expressed inability to do anything about it Initially even some of the lights in the room were not working. Clearly one of the worst stays of my life at a big brand hotel All in all a big disappointment

I thought the room was very large (compared to some tiny NYC rooms I’ve stayed) I appreciated the view from the room and the bar. I did not notice sound in my room despite being right in the center of action in Times Square. If you like being close to tons of people (I do) then this is a great spot. If you prefer a quiet spot, be aware of the proximity to all of the people. Based on the other reviews, I double checked my bill. The credit for food was not correct. They were helpful and fixed it after I asked. The patty melt was delicious! Overall I would stay again, but was just a little annoyed that I had to request that the bill be corrected. The room was clean and comfortable.

Great location and modern but the wait on the elevators is to much and the only reason I booked this hotel because it has a pool that I couldn't use because they where having private event . Then I asked one of the staff working if the pool was going to be open the next day and he could only say I don't know the least he could do is go to the computer and check no he told me I got to go next day and check for myself.Secon nigth at the hotel I go to the rooftop restaurant bar waited 20 min to get acknowledged by someone put my food order waited 40 min for it never arrived when I go to the bar to ask for it all they told me was that the chef colsed the kitchen early.Front desk manager resolve the pool situation the food situation was never resolved.

Excellent location quite near to Time Square. The room was not big but spacious enough to put a small luggage and still be able to walk around. The bed is large and very comfortable, had the best sleep during this sleep which helped me recover from the jet. Two negatives: 1. The sink drain is not installed properly, which doesn’t allow the water to drain away fast enough causing buildup. Quite disgusting when you are shaving, washing etc. when the dirty water doesn’t go down fast enough. 2. This one is not necessarily something Holiday Inn can control, but there is consistently some homeless ppl, ppl that look like they are on drugs outside the hotel. Also the sidewalk isn’t particularly clean. Now I wasn’t particularly bothered by #2, but could totally see ppl coming to NYC for the first time being turned off, or feel unsafe and choose not to stay here. Something for the hotel to think about.
