I recently stayed at this hotel while in Norfolk for work. Not only is the hotel centrally located, it also has tons of places to eat. It was easy to get in and out of the parking garage which was located just right across the little street. My room was big, nice, and clean. The hotel ambiance was nice and I really liked that distinct but lovely Marriott scent at the lobby. The staff was marvelous! I specifically want to mention Kaysha, who checked me in the night of my arrival. Kaysha was super nice, helpful, cheerful, and just overall amazing! She found the best room for me, made sure I had everything I needed. I often stay at the Waterside part of town when I'm on travel in Norfolk but this hotel might be my go-to going forward.

The staff was nice but hotel was not in good shape. We were coming to this city to see our daughter’s school function. Then the tropical storm hit, and the event was cancelled. I tried to cancel 48 hours in advance but they did not allow. I even asked if we could just get a rain check and use it when the event was ti be rescheduled 4 weeks later. They said no. Like I said though, the staff was very nice.

I'VE STAYED AT A LOT OF HOTELS, BUT THE SERVICE THAT I RECEIVED FROM THE STAFF AT THIS LOCATION, WITH THE LEADERSHIP OF MS. BROWN, WAS ONE TO RAVE ABOUT. THE PROPERTY ITSELF WAS WELCOMING AND CLEAN. BUT IT WAS THE STAFF THAT MADE THE LASTING IMPRESSION. YOU CAN TELL WHEN THE MANAGERS TAKE PRIDE BECAUSE IT TRICKLES DOWN. THIS WILL BE MY NEW DESTINATION WHENEVER I'M IN NORFOLK!

Ok place some of the employees were absolutely great like the laundry room lady one of the front desk staff was amazing older black lady NOT the lady with the shaved head she was one of the nastiest people I've ever had to deal with EVER and then the older couple in housekeeping (I think) were great!!
