I will never visit this place again I booked a week me and partner and something wasn't right member of staff was hanging around outside my door thinking the room was empty but my partner seen her hanging around outside my door before he left to go to work she thought the room was empty , then I was out and my partner tried to get in my room and they said they cant let him in because it was booked under my name but seen him there with me and booked a week and the manager said to the lady staff at reception do you know this gentleman's because he's even ringing her then we have right to let him in but then the reception lady said I don't recognise him she was talking to someone eles at the bar all night when I never entered the bar once being there police won't do anything because nothing was taken From the room I asked to see the car showing I was at the bar with someone and see the member of staff entering my room with out me there they would wait till me and my partner left the hotel Lovely area though nice little village

We just spent a few days at the Forest of Arden Marriott Hotel in Coventry England. Michele and I were absolutely delighted and impressed with the level of hospitality and customer service that I felt compelled to write about our experience . From the moment we arrived and throughout our stay , we were provided with the most amazing service and had a wonderful experience with the beverage manager, Franklin, our waitress, Gowri, and our beverage controller, Aslam. You guys make an outstanding team. I can’t wait to return. We highly recommend this resort !!! Mark and Michele McCauley

The hotel itself is comfortable, clean and tidy. Close to airport but it is pretty much in the middle of nowhere. There are free shuttle buses going directly from hotel to Birmingham International station which is helpful. I had no issues taking shuttle bus from hotel to birmingham international, but me and a few others waited for more than 30 mins for it on our way back. Ended up having to take bus and uber back to hotel at night,

The hotel is spending a lot of money on re carpeting and room refurbishment which makes the stay more enjoyable but for me the food needs to improve. Bar meal last visit was served on a cold plate, so a cold meal. Breakfast is unappetising so I eat elsewhere. 3 night stay with no room service means the 4 tea bags and milk doesn’t last. But the hotel has improved greatly from where it was and does some great room rate deals.

Yes, it is very worn and dated but it does have a retro 70's charm and provides very good value. Reception was polite and professional but could have been more supportive. We had a issue as our hotel booking site had not paid the hotel. The receptionist ask us to phone them to solve the issue. At better hotels, the reception would have offered to do provide this service. A lack of training? The location is excellent being in the centre of the city, across from the bus station and the transport museum. The views of the ruins of the old in the background and new in the foreground among other ancient and contemporary buildings is wonderful from the rooms at the rear of the hotel are wonderful. The balcony that some of the rooms to the rear have would be a very pleasant place to relax in good weather. The beds are very large and reasonably comfortable with clean beading. The carpet of our room was new, and others were being replaced as we were there. The state of the decor was adequate and past ready for a make-over. However, for the price and location, it was acceptable. The breakfast, which was included, was a pleasant surprise. The buffet breakfast room had a was cosy feel, there was a good selection of cereals, preserved fruits and yogurt. The full English breakfast was very well prepared and of good quality ingredients. The tea and coffee were also of a good standard. Service was professional and efficient, clearly aiming to provide their clients with a very pleasant start to their day.

Don't know why I booked the room with mobility accessible twin room but still ok. Just the bathroom is accessible for wheelchair. Good view from room. 15 mins walk to Coventry station and the city centre. Nice breakfast too.

I have stayed here a few times when flying in or out of BHX early or late and it has done the job consistently, right next to the terminal, quick check in. clean comfortable room. I asked for a high floor with a view over the airfield and got it .Decent price booking in advance. 5 Either a short walk to the railway station or you could use the transit link. I didn't use the bar or restaurant but they seemed to be quite popular.
