My family and I just spent a bit over a week at Six Senses Laamu and it was truly amazing! Before booking, we checked several hotels in the Maldives and chose this one, as we had been to Six Senses Hotels before and knew, that they are well worth all the money. From our arrival through to the departure, everything was just perfect and there is not one little thing that could have been better. The architecture of the whole hotel is stunning: very luxurious, yet down-to-earth in terms of materials and very sustainable in all matters. Our overwater villa was perfectly set up and gave us a lot of privacy as well as lots of amenities that catered for all of our needs. All the restaurants in the resort offer brilliant dishes as well as a stunning quality of food and drinks. The massages we had were incredible and helped us relax thoroughly. Also all the other experiences we took part in - ranging from Yoga and Pilates to paper making, surfing and more - were well designed and professionally done. The nature on this beautiful island as well as in the sea surrounding it is amazingly beautiful and we had the honor to observe lots of beautiful plants and animals. Our daughter (13) was thrilled to visit SHELL, the science hub on the island, every day - she met several wonderful marine biologists who made her feel very welcome and answered all of her questions. Probably the best part of this holiday were all the lovely members of the staff we met: our GEM Daniel was very young, yet very professional already and did a great job in making us feel at home. From every server in the restaurants (especially Sinni, who made the perfect pancakes for our daughter ever morning!) through all the therapists and yoga instructors we met at the spa, also all the managers we met - these people really were authentically kind, took care of all of our wishes (and far beyond) and truly made us feel like part of the Six Senses family! So yes, this holiday was extremely expensive - but also, it was 100% perfect and we were very sad when we had to leave. There ist no place that comes close to Laamu!
