Caravela Beach Resort

I stayed at Caravela Beach Resort as part of a destination wedding event and I must say that I want to go back there again for vacation. With brilliant architecture providing an old world charm, beautiful exterior landscaping and the beach front it is perfect for a relaxed stay. It has a private beach (Varca beach) which is one of the most beautiful beaches amongst the ones I have visited in Goa. Pristine blue water and white sands give a stunning view. The rooms are fairly spacious with balconies where you can sit and enjoy a cup of tea either overlooking the pool or the forest. They have a pool side bar and we thouroughly enjoyed cocktails and pizza while chilling in the pool. The pool side bar defnitely adds to the exeperience. One thing to note is that majority part of the pool is quite deep and hence accessible only to swimmers. But there is a part of the pool which can be accessed by non swimmers and kids. Overall staying at Caravela was a wonderful experience. The staff were very gracious and made our stay confortable inspite of the resort being completely booked. Will recommend it to anyone visiting Goa and also as a venue for destination weddings given it has spacious lawns by the side of the beach - perfect venue for sundown events.

We stayed at Caravella from the 31st October to 3rd November and I must say, we had an absolutely wonderful time at the resort. It almost felt like we were pampered by them. We stayed in the beach view rooms, which were cosy and each had a balcony of its own. We even checked out the other rooms; family villas and garden facing rooms, and the best part about the way they have all been designed is the welcoming interiors and the usage of space. Another thing that we really loved about Caravella was the staff and their warmth and care. Be it at the main restaurant or the housekeeping service or the reception, even the buggy drivers, were all extremely courteous and willing to help, sometimes even before we asked. They were extremely attentive and always had a smile no matter what. Sometimes with professionalism, comes a but of arrogance, but that was not the case at all over here. Ankita and Gorakh were two very attentive and warm people we met at the restaurant and made sure all our meals were taken care of. The hotel breakfast was another highlight of our stay with a very wide spread that caters to vegetarian, non vegetarians and was a sumptuous combination of north Indian, south Indian and continental, so there was something (a lot actually!) for everyone. And of course, the private beach is really really good for swimming, dipping your feet or even just lounging around. Theirs even an option to cycle on the beach which is chargeable but worth it especially during the sunset time. The only thing I would've liked would be some air conditioning in the lobby area, which gets quite heated up and humid during the summers. Apart from that, we really had a lovely time at the resort and would love to come again soon.

Very good place to reignite your passion for life. It’s a serene place which is maintained immaculately without any compromises. The staff are very polite with smiling faces and ever ready to help. The buggy services are very organised and come very quickly. The resort grounds are very picturesque with a great golf course and overlooking the ocean. We stayed in an Ocean front room which was a decent room with all basic amenities required.

I recently traveled to Goa in August to celebrate my birthday with my family (my wife and daughter) and we chose Caravela Beach Resort for our stay. This was my third visit to the resort and once again it exceeded all expectations. The reason I keep coming back to Caravela Beach Resort is simple: the exceptional and personalized hospitality. The staff always goes above and beyond to make us feel welcome and this visit was no different. The property itself is fantastic with a prime location in South Goa and a private beach that offers a peaceful and relaxing environment. The resort is packed with amenities ensuring there’s always something to do for everyone. A special shoutout to a few staff members who went the extra mile to make our stay truly memorable: Pradeep, Puja, Sanya, Arina, and Diniz. Their attention to detail and genuine care for their guests made my birthday celebration with my family even more special. Thank you Caravela Beach Resort for another amazing experience. We’ll definitely be back!

I have been to the Caravela with family many times in the past but am now elderly and a single traveller. I feel that this hotel has something for everyone. New guests find the architecture of the public rooms quite stunning. The many acres of grounds are beautifully maintained and well stocked. There is an immaculate 9 whole golf course quite unique to Goa too. The extensive pool area has plenty of sunbeds and is well attended. A short distance away is the beautiful private beach with all facilities at hand. I had a deluxe pool facing room which was well appointed with a King size bed, good fridge, beverage making and plenty of electricity sockets. The air conditioning was excellent. My one criticism is that the bathroom needed an upgrade and a cracked mirror needed replacing. This is a busy hotel and has many functions and owes its success to the 100% commitment of the whole team whatever their position. It’s hard given the professional attitude of the whole staff to single people out but particularly helpful to me were the two girls on Customer services- Shavon and Zara . Also Antika in the dining room and the whole reception staff who were efficient, knowledgeable and sorted queries quickly. My favourite place to eat was the beach hut listening to the waves. The food menu was extensive and food excellent. I had many evening meals in the Cascada and enjoyed the excellent entertainment nightly. The service was good but I felt that on a couple of occasions the food could have been hotter. Appetisers served in the Atrium bar were tasty and fairly substantial. As a tip do avoid peak breakfast times for a more relaxed experience. I feel that the management and staff value clients and do everything they can to ensure a comfortable and safe stay. Nothing is too much trouble. I am already looking forward to returning there next year.

Comfortable mattress, cozy room, very well maintained property, well behaved staff, nice breakfast with different Indian n continental cuisines, nice different amenities, nice spa experience, nice ambience at every place n corner of the resort Room service was slight slow.
