Hotel berhampiran Cafe Slow Osaka, Osaka

We enjoyed staying in this apartment hotel. It had a generous amount of space and a convenient layout with powder room and shower/bath room separate. There was a stove (hob), microwave, toaster oven, and small refrigerator, and a kitchen sink. Even a washer and dryer! We were able to stock up from the conbini and go out all day on adventures, then relax back in the room with TV, with kids in their bunk beds and a big king bed for us adults (all in one room). Not much of a view but we got our views in during the day. The neighborhood was quiet and convenient. If you needed ”action” you could jump on the train from multiple stations and be in Ginza or Shinjuku or Shibuya in half an hour. There were many cafes and restaurants in the neighborhood -- not hot spots or nightclubs, but again -- this place is aimed at being family friendly. There is not any front desk staff, so make sure to get your pre-check in sorted online or be prepared to spend a good 20 minutes doing the contactless iPad checkin when you arrive. There are no hotel amenities such as a restaurant or spa, but it is a fine tradeoff for the peace and quiet of nobody bothering you and the lower prices than a hotel. (You can order extra housekeeping for an additional charge if you want them to see to your room earlier than once per seven days.) I would recommend staying here and I would stay here again for longer. The only things I would change would be better instructions on how to unlock the door from the inside when you want to leave -- I spent a few panicky moments feeling like I was ”locked in” when I couldn't get the door open. Basically it is an electronic deadbolt that locks itself even if you do not lock it. So I didn't realize the deadbolt was on. When I figured that out it was fine. But in a fire situation, this could be dangerous. There should be better signage on that. The other thing that would be nice is if there were bicycle rentals or loaners. We saw so many families biking around and wished we could take part on the quiet streets of Nihonbashi. The public bike share app (Docomo) is not available if you have a foreign telephone number.

I have had a 4-night stay at Room #1321 from 20 to 24 May 2023. The hotel is located very near to Juso Station, a mere 5-minute walk across a main road. And there are many eateries and shops very nearby too. The room is small but clean, neat and tidy. The bathroom is not spacious but water pressure is strong for a nice shower. WiFi coverage is more than adequate in the room and common areas. The hotel also provides simple but delicious breakfast till 9am, with coffee on the house till 10am, daily. The hotel staff are friendly and helpful. It is surely value for money at SGD $70 per night. Strongly recommended.

これまで仕事でいろんなホテルに泊まってきましたが、かなりピカイチです！ 新しいのできれいなのはもちろんですが、ホテルのwebに書かれていないところでは、洗面スペースと部屋が完全セパレートになっていてくつろげます。 また、入室したら冷蔵庫のスイッチ、空気清浄機、エアコンが付いていて、空気清浄機には水がちゃんと入っていて加湿もされてました。これは初めて。 ロビーには、ウェルカムドリンクのコーヒーとフルーツが浸されたお水をいただけます。 最上階10階のお風呂はアメニティもちゃんと揃っていて、屋外風呂も心地よく楽しめました。 2つのフロアに電子レンジや製氷機と自販機が有りますが、持ち帰り用にビニールが備え付けてあったり、ラップがあったり、箸やおしぼり、紙皿まで置かれていました。 コロナ禍なので部屋で夕飯を食べましたが、部屋レイアウトに食べにくさはあるもののそのマイナスを大きく上回る驚きで、満足した気分になれました！

The hotel is centrally located in the Juso district, not too far from Juso Station. A great supermarket (Don Quijote) is situated very nearby. Juso also offers plenty of affordable, tasty, and less crowded options for food. Juso Station is primarily served by the Hankyu Railway and is therefore not on the JR Line. If you’re using a JR Pass and aiming to save costs, this may be a factor for consideration because we found we had to travel to the Osaka metro station to get to places. That being said, the cost of the hotel was reasonable, perhaps offsetting the additional travel expenses. Additionally, Juso is a nice area. We enjoyed interacting with the hotel staff, who were very friendly and always did their best to help us. Check-out was automated.

The lobby is a bit drab and fuddy duddy looking, not a big problem though. Bathroom was clean and bed was very comfortable. Despite the appearance of the lobby which can be off-putting for some, everything else is good.

Rooms are older style but clean and comfortable. When booking request rooms level 7 or above with external views to avoid air conditioning plants and internal light well. Restaurant staff, especially female Maitre'd was rude and officious to the guests in our party. Breakfast was the worst experienced on our tour resulting in us enjoying breakfast on our final day at the Holiday Inn just up the street - cereal, fresh fruit, crispy bacon, etc. It was worth it! I requested to pay for a late check out at the front desk (5pm instead of 10am) and was quoted the equivalent of $220 Australian - almost double the online booking rate. I would recommend stretching the budget and stay at the Holiday Inn up the street for a pleasant experience.

Location is great, service was good and breakfast was the best. It was near the famous Glico man. It is also within walking distance to Parco and other great stores. ABC Mart, Uniqlo, Atmos are near. As to food trips, there are a lot of ramen places around. Namba Station is about 1 kilometer away, which can be easily be walked even with luggages, where you can board the Nankai Line to Kansai Airport. Yes, the airport is just a train ride away, no need to hire expensive private transfers.

This hotel is not bad and also looks new. The downside is they don’t have laundromat. However there is a l laundry shop nearby  Even though the front desk doesn’t really speak English, but they are really nice with the positive attitude unlike the Via Inn hotel near shinsaibashi I will come again next time. 

We arrived earlier than the check in time, and are able to drop off the luggages at the reception and come back later for check in for free. The staff can speak multiple languages, (Japanese, English, Chinese,etc) able to communicate without any problem. Room is very clean and cleaning service is provided each day. Location is close to Nanba. Very convenient. Close to a metro station as well, easy to locate. Would recommend.
