Hiyori Hotel Osaka Namba Station

Hotel size doesn’t justify the price. The pricing strategy was unreasonable. A day difference command for double the price. I may not understand the pricing strategy for hotel industry but being a marketer you do not want to short change your guests by letting them feel what they have paid for was not the great deal. I made by booking way earlier and took a no refund package supposed to be delivering me best deal. Only to realised the same room go down to almost half a price the day I check in. Dirty couch. Small room with premium price. On 24/2 2:30am, a false alarm for fire was activated. All rushed down, kids crying, guests automatically took the emergency exit and just gather at the evacuation area outside the hotel. No staff were seen. Firemen and police men were there. 10 mins later, all guests quietly took the lift going back to the respective rooms. Realised there is a fire drill practice scheduled between 1-2pm, 24/2/25, went to the front desk and command to speak to the manager on duty. Staff told us the manager was sleeping. No one from the hotel end even bothered to apologise and explain what went wrong. Surprised with the hospitality experience.

This is my second stay, and the location near Namba Station is very convenient. The customer service staff are polite, but the breakfast options could be improved. The washing machine on the seventh floor is very convenient. I would also like to mention that the hot water dispenser in the lobby is a great feature, allowing guests to enjoy a cup of hot tea when returning in winter. However, it often runs out of hot water because it requires manual refilling. One contributing factor is that some inconsiderate guests fill their large thermoses with water. In fact, there is a kettle in the rooms, so this behavior is a bit selfish. The hotel should address these issues. The second issue is that after the cleaning staff collect the trash from the door, they should proactively provide new garbage bags instead of requiring guests to ask the cleaning staff for them. I will be returning to Osaka soon and will choose this hotel again. I appreciate you providing this quality hotel rental in this busy city.

Upset with the house keeping. Came in to clean up the room n dropped my glasses on the floor I put them nicely with my cable in the small table in the morning, only to found them on the floor when I came back. Location is great. It is just opposite Namba city and the airport train - nankai line. Wall is quite thin. I could hear footsteps of people staying upstairs and sound of doors banging on 1 of the mornings. Guess it is the case when you don't get considerate neighbors.
