Extremely satisfied with this family-friendly hotel. Its location is excellent, just a few minutes' walk to Universal Studios. The room was clean and spacious, with beautiful sunrise and sunset views from the window. The laundry room was a fantastic bonus!

ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS PLACE!! 💯 Was greeted with a minion-themed entrance when we walked in and the staff were very friendly. The hotel room was by far the best we have stayed in our entire Japan trip with a huge space and beautiful sight of the ocean (caught the sunrise view in the early morning too), and the breakfast was even better with the most delicious spread of Japanese food 😍 just a short 5min walk away from USJ entrance. Only downside is no convenient store in the hotel that opens 24/7, but there's a Lawson nearby at the hotel opposite us. Would highly recommend this place for at least 2 nights if you are here to visit USJ!

Great hotel close to USJ and the station, staff very helpful and the view overlooking the park is every theme park addicts's dream. We did not eat here and the eating places always seemed quiet when we passed by. We would definately stay here again

The hotel's location is excellent, right across from Universal Studios, with convenient access to convenience stores and restaurants nearby. The room size is good, and the staff's service attitude is also very friendly. However, personally, I feel the hotel's layout is a bit small, and they don't provide complimentary bottled water. I was thirsty when I arrived at the hotel and had to go out and buy some myself. I stayed at four hotels in Japan in total; some provided water on check-in day, others daily, but this one didn't provide any at all.

This hotel is a 5-minute walk from Universal Studios, which is super convenient. The bathroom is a three-piece setup, which is great, and everything was spotless. I loved the Minion-themed decor, and it's nice that you can just grab your toiletries. Plus, you get a view of Universal Studios right from your room!

The room is spacious, newly decorated, clean, quiet, and very comfortable for a relaxing stay. The hotel is located on the bay, so the view from the window is unobstructed. If exit JR, it is opposite the intersection. If walk to USJ, walk through the walkway with the shops at the beginning to the end, which is about a distance. Service is standardized.

The room was great! I arrived around 1 PM and couldn't check in early, but I could store my luggage. After 3 PM, I used the machine to pay the tax and get my room key and breakfast vouchers. All the staff I encountered were really friendly! The hotel lobby's cafe/bar is also very convenient, open until 10 PM, so you can grab food or drinks when you return. Their Halloween desserts looked amazing (too bad I didn't have time to try them). The hotel breakfast was also quite substantial! The only downside is the location is a bit far; if you want to walk to Universal Studios, it's a bit of a detour, though there is a closer path to the park. Overall, if the price is right, this hotel is definitely recommendable!

The room was very spacious, and the location was excellent, being close to the station and Universal Studios Japan. It was super convenient with plenty of self-service luggage storage options. Plus, you could even see the roller coasters from the window, which was a nice bonus!

The hotel is relatively convenient for Universal Studios, about a 10-minute walk away. You can cross the road and walk straight, then take an escalator up a few minutes later, which leads directly to the ticket gate, and this route is less crowded. Alternatively, you can cross diagonally at the traffic lights and walk through Universal CityWalk, where you'll find several FamilyMart convenience stores, solving the breakfast dilemma. The downside is that you'll be walking with the main flow of people. 🥹🥹

Hygiene: Good. Environment: Very suitable for family trips. The hotel has many themes; the elevators are decorated with Minions, and the restaurant is quite large with a wide variety of food. You can also see parts of Universal Studios from there. The hotel has direct access to the pier, so you can see the queue situation from upstairs. You can take a boat across to the aquarium. Having stayed at 5 hotels during my 7-day trip to Japan, this one was personally my favorite.

Very convenient for accessing USJ and 5min walk to universal station. The cheaper view facing the riverside is still alright, not really that worth paying extra for the USJ view.

To be honest, among the three hotels I stayed at during my week-long trip to Osaka and Nagoya, the Universal Port Hotel was surprisingly the most comfortable, which I hadn't expected. The location is super easy to find: after exiting the station, take the small path on your left, walk to the end, cross the road, and there it is – very prominent. The hotel itself is quite large and unique. All the facilities are cartoon-themed and very playful, which my kids absolutely loved. The room size is perfectly acceptable by Japanese hotel standards. The staff were very enthusiastic; even with a language barrier, they were happy to use translation software to communicate with you bit by bit.
