Hotel berhampiran Former Hayakawa Branch Store, Otaru

Fantastic location overlooking the canals in Otaru. Best thing about the hotel was having a separate bathroom and a separate toilet… Especially useful when travelling with families! Gorgeous stained glass window and you can see the amazing sunset from the top floor as well  Reception was large and the front desk folk were very friendly and helpful. Overall would highly recommend this hotel  

The staff at the reception speaks fluent English, which is good. Sth dramatic happened after I checked in. Somehow my suitcase cannot be unlocked,though I knew the key number. So I had to call reception for help, luckily they do have the tool to open the suitcase, but I was told to wait because someone else were using it and I was supposed to be called after the reception got the tool. Waited whole night long, with no phone call, and had to check out the next morning with my broken suitcase. So if you find your suitcase cannot be opened, go find reception immediately or u might not get the chance to use the tool, haha

Amazing location (10min walk from JR Station, 12-15min walk to main shopping street), great view facing the canal. Staff were very friendly. Overall facilities seemed old but very clean and well maintained. I would recommend this hotel to others!

As a Dormy Inn Premium, the food was excellent. Breakfast had a good spread of fresh sashimi and other traditional japanese options. The public bath was well maintained and as always the free ramen and ice cream round up a great day. The location is just across the Otaru JR Station and a 10 minute walk to the Otaru Canal.

　アメニティはフロント横で取っていく無駄を省いたシンプルなホテルなので、5つ星や4つ星ホテルを求めては物足りないと思います。ただ普通のビジネスホテルよりはるかに落ち着ける新しく清潔なホテルです。朝食付きのパック料金でもサイトによりとてもリーズナブルなものがあります。 　ロケーションは運河沿いではなく、旧日銀ビルなどに並んだ位置にあるため、とても静かです。モール商店街に近いために散歩がてら寿司屋、花園町のケーキの館や新倉屋にも近いです。さらに隣にLAWSONがあります。 　駐車場はチェックイン前の13時から預けらるれるので、車を置いて運河や必見の小樽芸術村、小樽市立文学館など観光に最適です。 　運河沿いから離れると途端に観光客料金ではない地元民価格のお店が現れ、場所が素晴らしいと思います。 　さらにホテルの部屋からの港を一望できる眺めは素敵でした。 　私たちは広くない部屋にエクストラベッドというさらに狭い条件でしたが、とても快適に過ごせました。ドアが厚いのか全く他の部屋の音が聞こえないことも理由かと思います。 　ただし部屋の風呂は狭いです。代わりに最上階の大浴場は温泉ではありませんが、眺めがよく清潔です。またコロナ対策のためか混雑しないよう、使えるロッカーを制限していたのも好印象です。 　朝食バイキングは北海道への観光客が目当てとする魚*や蟹などありません。それでも地元野菜やアリスファームのジャムなど美味です。和食というより洋食よりのメニューですが、温かい食べ物が多く、雪の小樽でも暖まります。厚切りベーコンと蒸し野菜がとても美味しかったです。 　またスタッフが若くて、キビキビしているのにとても好感を持ちました。駐車場に入れる際にフロントスタッフが、雪のなか誘導してくれました。朝食会場でも活躍していましたので、人手の必要なところに手助けするようです。 　新しく間接照明の多いのも落ち着けるビジネスホテルとしては上級です。 　お勧めは、夕食後にアーケード街の端にある、歩いて5分の「酒商たかの」という17時から角打ちスタイルの酒屋はご主人が最高にフレンドリーで、日本酒を一杯飲めば人との触れ合いもできます。 　私たちは旅行支援を利用しました。支払いは１人3,300円にクーポン3,000円がついていたので、実質300円です。申し訳ない費用でした。また利用したいです。

小樽に行く際は必ずと言っていいほどオーセントさんにお世話になります いつもはツインのお部屋を予約しますが、今回は旅行支援を利用したので奮発してデラックスツインにしました 眺めがよくて最高でした ですが、近くに新しいホテルが出来て、海側の眺めが遮られてしまったのが少し残念です フロントやラウンジなどにいるスタッフの方の対応もとても丁寧で、廊下をすれ違う清掃のスタッフの方々も挨拶なども とても気持ちが良いのです（泊まる度に毎回変わらず） 食事や観光 どこに行くのも便利な場所にあるし、小樽駅まではアーケードを通って行けるので、天気が悪い時などはとても助かります ホテル内の食事もとても美味しくて 本当におすすめのホテルです

Served by a Sri Lankan hotel staff named Dilruk. Our check in was managed professionally by him. Had a pleasant check in procedure. However, the room wasn't cleaned properly when we checked in, hair was found left beside the bathtub. Concern was raised to a trainee hotel staff on the checkout date, he just said sorry that's it. I think there will be a better way in extending apologies on this matter.

オーシャンフロントロイヤルスイートルーム 805号室に宿泊しました。 最上階の円形のフロア、リビングからの海岸と岸壁の景色が絵画のように素晴らしく感動しました。 海岸にそびえたつ建物は古いようでしたが、部屋は綺麗にメンテンスされていて快適に滞在できました。リビングおよび浴室からの景色は素晴らしく、この眺望を楽しむだけでも宿泊する価値があるように思われました。調度品はアンティックな雰囲気で、リゾートの雰囲気とマッチしていて良かったです。 大きな浴室は温泉ではありませんが、常にお湯が張られた状態で、いつでも入ることが良かったです。浴室の窓を開けて、日本海の波の音を聞きながら、日本海の雄大な景色を楽しめました。タオル類も十分な数が用意されていたのも良かったです。 夕食はレストランでスイートルーム特別コース「プレジール」を頂きました。品数も多く、ボリュームもあり、おいしく頂くことができました。ワインも割安で良かったです。箸で頂くことができ、女性スタッフの方もフレンドリーで、楽しく夕食を頂くことができました。追加料理でホワイトアスパラハスの料理をお願いしましたが、とてもおいしく満足できました。 朝食もレストランで「創作ブレックファースト」を頂きました。景色を楽しみながら、席でゆったりと朝食を頂けて楽しめました。朝からスパークリングを無料で頂くことができたのも良かったです。余談ですが、男性スタッフのユニークな髪型がよかったです。 今回は大変満足しました。また機会があれば、宿泊したく思いました。

We absolutely loved this ryokan experience! Stayed for 2d1n as a couple and absolutely loved the place! We booked the room with the private onsen and it was a lovely small space on the 2nd floor we could enjoy privately. The onsen is not too big, maybe 1.5 x 1.5 meters, but it was spacious for the two of us. We also found out that you can book a 45 minute slot for a separate private onsen for about ¥2200, which we may have done instead, had we known about it before booking. The japanese-style room was comfortable and had the usual amenities provided, alongside other nice additions like lotions and creams. The staff helped us to set up our futon (japanese-style bed) after dinner, and it was overall a very comfortable experience. The staff are super friendly and service was incredible. We got the dinner and breakfast package and the food was excellent. We had to choose both the dinner slot in advance, and it is first-come-first-serve. Dinner was served to us in the room over 1.5h and was a really amazing 12-course meal with instructions on the eating order. Breakfast was more standard, but still nice, we took it in the dining hall. The lounge is open till 10pm and we could take drinks and refreshment freely, including some small snacks and soft drinks. But they stop serving beer at 9pm. The onsens also have mini-fridges with free popsicles. There is also an outside area you can access from 3pm - 9pm that serves hot coffee and wine, with free marshmallows you can roast on the outside firepit. It was really nice. The garden is by far the nicest part of the hotel, it is really big and well decorated, with many nice places for photos and to enjoy a hot drink from the lounge. The space is quite large and might take about 20 minutes to fully explore. The only downside I can think of is that the location is quite hard to access. We chose to get to and from the ryokan by taxi, but there is also a shuttle bus service, from what I understand. When we arrived, the reception told us that there would be a shuttle bus leaving at 10:45 to Otaruchikko station. We still ended up requesting a taxi from the front desk though, which they were happy to help us book (I couldn't get any taxis by cab in the location). Overall a really amazing stay that we would absolutely recommend. The price tag might seem high for a ”3 star” hotel, but the ranking is deceptive, we absolutely had a 5 star experience. 　小樽の町には何度か泊まったことが有りますが、今回は小樽市を高いところから一望しようと小樽天狗山ロープウェイに寄ってから、横移動してホテルに到着しました。玄関近くの駐車スペースに車を停めました。玄関を入ると自動検温器があり、消毒液を手にスプレーして、順番待ちのためフロント前で休憩。8階の2809号室のツインルームに入りました。室内設備は、一般のホテルと同等に完備されていました。窓からは、ホテル横の道路や近くの山の景色が見えました。札幌市に住む友達がホテルのフロント前1階レストランで夕食を予約してくれていたので、友達と一緒に会食となりました。混んではいませんでしたので、コース料理を、話しながらゆっくりと楽しむことができました。館内は、室内プール、フィットネスも有りましたが、1泊だけでしたので利用できませんでした。修学旅行生も大勢泊まっていたので、土産物ショップは結構若者が来ていました。朝食は、2階のレストランでブッフェスタイルでした。食べ物も結構揃っているので腹一杯になりました。朝一番で大浴場に行きましたが、ほとんど人が居なくでゆったりと入れました。チェックアウト出ホテルを出てからは、上方に登り、ループの道路と朝里川ダムと紅葉を見てから帰路につきました。1泊ではもったいないリゾートタイプのホテルでした。
