Vagabond Motor Hotel - Palm Springs

This was a spur of the moment one and done. The hotel staff is always helpful and the rooms comfortable and always clean. Close to downtown too.

I stayed here for the Tour de Palm Springs. It’s a great spot out of the city a bit to ride to the start and away from the crowd. Nothing fancy but clean, fairly inexpensive, and there’s a jacuzzi.

Staff is great, the pool and pool area was super clean and heated right for swimming, and I love they have an elevator to get to the third floor for coming and going with all my stuff.

No hot water or heat from the heater in the first room given to us……during check in I mentioned that we have stayed here before and came back because I liked the floor to ceiling windows…..the room we got did not have the floor to ceiling window. She moved us to another room which had the floor to ceiling window I liked and hot water- but the heater did not blow hot air….she brought us a portable heater . It was past 11pm and I didn’t want to move to another room so we stayed with the portable heater.

Room was very clean! Spacious and clean. Bed was very comfortable. Dated bathroom but clean. Thin sheet on the bed and nothing else....could use a blanket or a comforter. Nothing around there for food so you will have to drive for groceries and restaurants. Old and dated lighting for makeup purposes in the bathroom. Not so great water pressure in the shower :-(

Exactly as pictured. Hotel was older but had been updated. Clean, good value for the money. Close to downtown.

The sink in our room was clogged to the point that we had to use the bathtub faucet to brush our teeth and wash up as the regular sink immediately clogged and took hours to drain whenever it was used. I am sure this situation did not just happen overnight, and I should not have to call to get it rectified. I am sure it has been reported before and not dealt with - sink draining should be checked at each room cleaning. When I checked out I was told that they had had some plumbing problems in my room (222) - Really? You have plumbing problems and still rent out the room without making sure it is dealt with? To their credit when I returned for another 2-night stay a week later I was upgraded to a two-queen bed room at no extra charge. Ironically in this room the sink drained very well, but the tap constantly dripped. Plumbing does not seem to be the forte of this property. I must say though that the pool and hot tub are great.

The stay was good. The room was clean and comfortable. I was there for 2 days and it was stated that there was no room service for 1 or 2 day stays. You would have to make a request for service needed. It was quiet and restful.

Clean; comfortable bed; excellent front desk and maid service; nicely painted; newer floors; good coffee ; nice hot water in the shower.The key card worked well. Overall a good value. Minor issues: very low toilet ;shabby curtains;noisy refrigerator. We would definitely come again for our next Palm Springs visit.
