Tiger Rock

This place is a pure heaven, nested in the jungle. Mohan and his staff have been incredible, and the food was just the best i had during my two weeks across the country. The swimming pool is also perfect, make sure to spend 2-3 days there, and have one activity per day, plus the other half-day to just relax doing nothing along the pool. Your batteries will recharge faster than ever. I love animals and nature, i had more than i expected. After the meals, you can see the monkeys jump from branch to branch, and gather around the small kitchen, hoping to get some left overs. Hornbills, and other wildlife are everywhere. But i have to confess, the two best animals, were the dogs, Lucky and Pepper. Very cute, well educated, quiet and loving cuddles all day. I also want to thank Mohan contacts, from the local driver who drives you around the island, to Ashok the driver in Lumut who can drive you to Ipoh Airport. They are very reliable, profesionnal and kind. If you plan to go there, just bare in mind that this is the jungle. You'll have a few moskitos, and other type of animals. The island in general is not fantastic, so you'd better plan to just stay most of the time in the resort, and relax, with a good book. But Coral Beach is clearly, and you can spend some nice time there, with a few restaurants. If you like shopping, also plan a couple hours near the jetty, in the duty free shops. You can find dried fish, and different ingredients at very good prices.

Tiger Rock is incredible!! We stayed as a family over Christmas and had the most amazing holiday. Our 5 children all loved it. Mohan is extremely kind and helpful, the food cooked by Bavanni is the most delicious we have ever tasted, with so much variety, Nanthini is so friendly and helpful and always smiling, and they and the rest of the team made our stay unforgettable. Tiger Rock is absolutely idyllic, with beautiful surroundings, monkeys, birds and wildlife. Staying in the jungle was incredibly peaceful and relaxing and just an unforgettable experience. I really hope we will have the chance to go back one day.

We spend 3 days at the Tiger Rock. Our stay was fantastic! The staff is very attentive and caring. All our needs were fulfilled! The food is local and of superb quality. The surroundings our very quiet and peaceful. In the morning you can hear the jungle fauna come to live. Monkeys and birds are the first to greet you when you wake up. Our room was very comfortable and cosy. If you go to Pangkor, Tiger Rock is a must do!
