After my stay at the Ibis Styles Paris Gare Saint Lazare, I went off to Germany with coworkers for Cloudfest; upon my return I ended up staying here. Again, I ended up searching based on knowing the Accor brands and price - this hotel is definitely off the beaten track as far as tourists go, but it was a real gem. I was greeted at check in by a friendly gentleman in glasses (whose name I never caught throughout the stay alas) and was informed I was staying in a ground floor room. I was worried about this initially, as the ground floor rooms are near the breakfast area but fortunately, there was a door before a little vestibule before my room (number 2) and its neighbour (room 1) which helped keep the noise at bay. I did have some noise issues the first night from people talking in a neighbouring building, however discovered the following morning that the window had been open all night! Once I closed it the noise issues never presented themselves again. This room appears to have been done up very recently, with a very fresh look along with a nice sized TV, access to local TV and what I assume were pay TV channels, a nice sized bathroom, the typical comfortable Ibis Styles bed, and a small desk and chair. Interestingly, this room had no bedside tables - instead it had low shelves along the walls that you could use for the same purpose. There were sufficient power points in the room along with USB-A ports for charging, however I found that these were not particularly fast charging ports. The room had a fairly new Daikin split system air conditioner that was quiet and did a good job, unfortunately this was locked to heat so if you wanted to cool the room you were out of luck. Also, it wasn't entirely clear how to turn it on - I ended up figuring out that there is a small button along the top edge of the controller towards the right side, press this and it will turn on; press it again and it turns off; you can then use the three touch buttons under the screen to control it. The same combination hand soapody washshampoo that was at my previous Ibis Styles was here, weirdly in this shower it was sat on the floor, there didn't appear to be a holder for it. (Not such an issue was it was a sizable shower, so it wasn't getting in the way.) Breakfast was nice here each day - a touchscreen coffee machine would produce a variety of coffee drinks, a selection of loose-leaf teas you could bag yourself were available (with a great variety of choices available!), assorted breads and spreads, croissants, cheese, crepes, cereals and juice were all available, and the staff were bustling to keep everything topped up and fresh. This hotel is located in a brilliant location - the Laumiere metro station is literally a minute walk away (and has an escalator exit), and within five minutes' walk there several supermarkets, several bakeries, at least three pharmacies, a couple of laundromats as well as plenty of restaurants of varying cuisines - the nearby Caballito d
