The hotel is beyond expectations. It is located in Xiaodonghai Bay. We were vacationing with our daughter of 1.4 years old. We went for complete privacy, silence and relaxation. The hotel consists only of villas, there are about 30 of them, there are no building rooms, which ensures privacy and silence. The territory is large, incredibly well maintained and very beautiful. Beauty is in the details. The villa itself is well planned and consists of a main house and a small additional one. We had lunch here when we ordered something in the room. The personnel brought a high chair for my daughter and it stayed here during all days of our vacation. Interestingly, they don't just bring food to the room, but also serve the table. It's nice. In general, the staff is as attentive as possible, this is reflected in the little things. The breakfast was included in the accommodation, so we either went to the hotel restaurant for lunch and dinner (only Thai and Chinese cuisine, but there is a children's menu and we ordered something for our daughter), and something Thai for ourselves. Everything is cooked very tasty and of high-quality. It was at this hotel that I first tasted the local Hainan dessert - cold coconut milk soup with fruits and cereals. I'm not a big fan of Chinese food in general, but I really liked this soup! We also ordered food directly to the villa through the Chinese app Elema (饿了么), which is in Chinese. We didn't go to street restaurants. In general, in China, the delivery of ready-made food is incredibly developed, you can order anything and anywhere. If we needed a taxi, we ordered it through the Chinese Didi (弟弟）app. But we didn't want to leave the villa and the hotel at all, we spent most of our time by the pool. Usually we need the sea, but this time it was so good to chill out at the villa that we somehow didn't need the sea). Moreover, we have a little daughter, and so far it has been more convenient to swim with her in our own pool than at sea. We used Alipay to pay everywhere. During our stay, we visited the spa several times, took various treatments (body scrubs, various massages), we really liked everything. They do it efficiently, I recommend it. I also recommend trying small drinking coconuts in Hainan - they are divine! The very taste of a rich bounty)). Look for small brownish colors, no more than 10 cm in diameter, it has a very rich thick sweet taste of coconut. About the sea: if you are looking for active swimming in the sea, the hotel may not be suitable. It's very shallow here (that's okay) and after about 100 meters, where it's still shallow, there's an underwater breakwater. Therefore, if you swim, you will just bump into it. Because of this, there are no waves in the bay. But there are algae growing on the bottom. It may be possible to swim well during a very strong tide, but it was not possible to swim during our visit. That's why we spent the day at the villa, swimming and relaxing there. And after sunset, we went out for a walk along the shore, admired the sunset, played with our daughter in the sand and on the playground, and also strolled along the pier. For some reason, for the first time, we really didn't really want to swim in the sea). In general, if you want to spend your entire vacation in complete relaxation with the chirping of birds, the sound of the wind and the lapping of waves, then I definitely recommend Banyan tree.

We stayed for 4 nights. The hotel was very clean and neat. Breakfast buffet was impressive with extensive choices of fresh food. Our hotel butler Kaylee is super helpful, friendly and responsive. She has been super sweet and even surprised us with a birthday cake when she knew it was our son's birthday.

My stay was amazing. I really loved the room and the beautiful view from the window, and the hotel grounds were absolutely stunning. There was always plenty of space by the pools and the beach, which made the atmosphere very relaxing. The breakfast was delicious with a wide selection of both Western and Chinese dishes. The complimentary photoshoot also left a great impression. The photographer was very kind and always helped me find beautiful locations and poses for the photos. I would especially like to thank my manager, Rano, who communicated with me in Russian, helped me check in comfortably, and also arranged a late check-out for me. Overall, my stay was excellent, and I would highly recommend this hotel for a relaxing vacation.

I loved my stay. The staff are very friendly. The restaurant manager named Amanda had always made me feel welcomed whenever I eat at the restaurant. The Hainanese chicken rice was delicious! I also would like to thank the staff at the reception. The girl named Dora helped me book my tickets for a different trip (not hotel related), and of course the manager named Bonnie who always made sure my stay was lovely. She even sent fruits to my room. The only thing I wanted to add is that the hotel is a little outdated (very clean room and comfy bed though) and most staff don't speak English.

Honestly I had read that this hotel was a bit dated and old but I gave it a chance given it was rated one of the top family hotels in Sanya. I purchased a “deal” stay voucher for 3 days which supposedly included vouchers in the package like a performance, bubble party for the kids, petting zoo, train ride, a jungle adventure obstacle course for the kids.  I felt honestly underwhelmed when I got to the resort. Yes it was dated but it felt like everyone who worked there also had lost their will too. The service was poor, I found out all the “vouchers” were for things that were free for all guests anyways. The kids pool with the water slides were under construction, there was zero people to buggy you around the resort and honestly after then needing to “top up” for the days I chose to stay at the resort, I could have easily stayed at Shangrila or somewhere much nicer. It was impossible to get a drink or anything at the resort - being asked to scan QR codes when someone could have easily helped and served, is really disappointing. We then got sold this silly boat package by the bartender instead, telling us that we could snorkel on this boat and there would be equipment for my kids. My kids got on a boat where there weren’t even life jackets that fit them in the end… Location was good and closer to Atlantis and the duty free stores. I would book this hotel only if there is a really good deal ie around 100 a night

The hotel was conveniently located about five minutes away from the beach and just like two minutes from any of the big shopping streets with a bunch of restaurants. Especially the service from the service staff was incredible. They were very kind and accommodating for all the issues and even brought an extra fruit when he had some trouble with the reception in the hotel as compensation. We had a staff member named Clare, who was so amazing. He took care of everything we needed within the minute, basically was always ready and everything we asked for basically got done with a snap of our fingers, which was just phenomenal and unbelievable. I personally really love the in-house fruit store that they had which sold fruit to a regular price no charge whatsoever with a big selection. All the fruit was very delicious especially the mango.

Early check-in was possible. Room was very spacious, although it was not brand new. I found the imperfections in furniture and room garnitures to be quite charming, giving it a South-East Asian touch of a very well aged guesthouse. The outside area is very beautiful and properly maintained with a lot of great scenery and places to chill. Two pools - warm one and natural temperature one - we had a pleasant time swimming in both. Seaside is fine, with sunbeds maintained by the hotel, located under mangrove trees’ shade. It is a pretty busy area for a reason, good for sunbath relax and swimming in the sea, so better come early for the best spots. The service was excellent in every department. Restaurants inside the hotel served good food, especially we liked Thai cuisine. Snack station nearby the beach is also good. They even have a fresh fruit shop with a variety of tropical goodies, reasonably priced for a hotel location. We didn’t try out spa however it seemed decent. Overall we enjoyed our stay very much!

Very comfortable hotel, outstanding service! Friendly staff in all hotel areas. Susie at the front desk was very friendly! She helped to change rooms (we had 2 reservations, one after another) immediately, without waiting for 3 hours for check in! Cleaning ladies were most helpful as well! Dinner was very good and very cheap as well! You should come here to enjoy your time!

Nice White building with many pools and a direct access to the beach. Swimming not allowed at the beach. The building isn’t brand new anymore but the room are large and comfortable. The 28th floor allowed a great view and quiet, apart in the afternoon for some small helicopters and the music from 6pm to 9pm for the outside restaurant. 6 pools allow for lots of fun for the kids and yet some space for adults too. The beach is good to relax of play on the sand. Not too far from the hotel are a few restaurants and a Wanda cinema with an IMAX screen. About 45 min from the airport. Not much happening in the streets around. Sanya is about 30-40 minutes away from the hotel. But easy to access Didi cars or rent small motorcycles. Nice fruit shop in the lobby with local fruits. The hotel is used to serve mainly Chinese clients. But they used English on wechat to discuss services and requests. A nice place to rest.

Close to the beach and close to the Atlantis water park, but otherwise, far from everything. The facility seemed old. our room's AC was making noise, especially at the night and couldn't sleep well, when we called the service to get it fixed, but later on it was still making noises. The slide in the pool was only for kids :(
