Hotel Kvl in Phnom Penh stands out for its prime location, nestled directly beside the Royal Palace and the river, making it a prime spot for tourists looking to explore the city's historical and cultural landmarks. The hotel itself is equipped with modern and stylish furnishings, ensuring a comfortable stay. The bed was particularly comfortable and the breakfast was a highlight, being both delicious and served à la carte, allowing for a personalized dining experience in the morning. However, our experience took a turn when it came to the transfer service from Sihanoukville to Phnom Penh. The cost of over $180 for the transfer felt exorbitant, especially given the condition of the vehicle and the service provided. Being transported in an older car, coupled with a driver who was not only unable to communicate in English but also constantly distracted by multiple ringing mobile phones, significantly detracted from our overall experience. Despite attempts to use Google Translate, communication was futile, and the incessant noise became a source of irritation. Given the high price, our expectations for the transfer service were not met, leading us to conclude that utilizing a service like „Grab“ for a fraction of the cost would be a far better option in the future. On a more positive note, the transfer service from the hotel to the airport was priced at $20, which felt more reasonable and within acceptable limits. Another significant issue was the noise level in our room. Situated on the top floor directly beneath the hotel's rooftop bar, the sound levels late into the night were intolerable. The booming music and lively atmosphere of the bar, while perhaps enjoyable for some, felt more like being in a nightclub than a hotel room. This was particularly unwelcome as we sought to rest and recover from the exhausting transfer earlier in the day. In conclusion, while Hotel Kvl boasts an excellent location and modern amenities that contribute to a comfortable stay, the high cost and poor execution of the transfer service from Sihanoukville, coupled with the disruptive noise from the rooftop bar, marred our experience. Future guests would do well to consider alternative transportation options and inquire about room placement to ensure a more tranquil stay.

From the moment I arrived, everything was perfect—the warm welcome, professional and friendly staff, beautiful atmosphere, spotless rooms, comfortable facilities, and outstanding service. Every little detail was handled with care, making the entire stay feel luxurious, relaxing, and unforgettable. The hospitality here is truly world-class. The staff are incredibly kind, attentive, and always ready to go the extra mile to make guests feel special and valued. The food, cleanliness, comfort, and overall ambience are simply outstanding. I can honestly say this was one of the best hotel experiences I have ever had. It genuinely feels like a home away from home, but with the elegance and service of a five-star luxury property. I enjoyed my stay here. The hotel is safe, comfortable, and conveniently situated in the Riverside district. It has a good cost performance (i.e. price-to-quality ratio). Not everything is perfect, but the staff makes up for it, they are friendly and helpful (special shout-out to Nita who is fantastic, she is the nicest person and she helped me with all my requests). I originally booked a basic room until I found out a few days ahead the room had no window (I did not read the description carefully enough), so I upgraded for a “standard double room” with window. The first room I moved into did not have hot water. The hotel was not able to fix it, so eventually they moved me to another room where the hot water worked, which was great. The room did not have a chair and desk, but I asked the staff and they brought one. At some point, Nita helped me arrange a laundry load. It was done overnight and cost 3 dollars, so it seems the laundry is outsourced to a nearby business. At night, the street can be a little loud, there are many bars, KTVs and nightclubs located here. But it did not bother me, I could sleep through it easily. Many of the bars have hordes of pretty women who, beginning at dusk, sit outside and come ask you to drink with them. They get your attention by shouting “hello”, “come here”, “handsome” and “bong” (mister) as you are walking by. In any event, this did not bother me, I never actually felt harassed and could come and go the hotel as I pleased. The description mentioned the room would have a minibar, but my room didn’t have one. Probably I could have asked for it, but I realized I didn’t need one. One morning, there was a visit by the police, they were checking visas and passports from all foreign hotel guests. This was unexpected, but it went smoothly. Overall, I’m very happy with my stay and would probably come here again. Not everything is perfect, but I give it 4.5 stars (4 stars for the price/quality/location plus an extra half-staff bonus for the staff, especially Nita).

The hotel stay was fine. Air con was shooting out cold air, only issue was that it was dirty. They need to clean the units more often. Otherwise things were fine. When asked to clean it they did.

What I liked about it : The receptionist is very friendly and helpful. : They have a lift. The room is actually big. It has ac, tv, fridge. They also have slippers provided, aside from the towels and toiletries. The breakfast buffet is nice also. : It is close to Virak Buntham. What can be improved : The door of my room gets stuck and requires a lot of effort to close. : The water in the shower takes long to drain.

I had a wonderful stay at Best Central Point Hotel! The front desk team was amazingly warm, polite, and always ready to help with a smile—their top-notch service made me feel truly welcome. The room was super clean, comfortable, and offered fantastic quality at a very affordable price. The location is perfect with plenty of great cafes and restaurants just around the corner. Highly recommended for a comfortable and budget-friendly stay!”

Pros: Excellent value for the money. Hard to find better at this price point. The staff is attentive and helpful. 24-hour desk. Even the security guard, who probably doesn't get paid much, goes above and beyond to be of service and attentive. Reasonably clean. At least the linens are clean, even if some of the walls aren't. Another standout, is the breakfast. At this price point, it's rare to get a breakfast. But this breakfast is above average. It out performs some breakfasts I've had at much more expensive hotels. They have cereals, juice and coffee, some seasonal fruit. Fried eggs. But they also have a menu that changes from day to day with Asian style breakfast foods, fried rice or noodles. Some local Cambodian dishes. Soups or congee. Grilled vegetables or a variety of other interesting conditions. It varies from day to day. There are usually five or six warming trays with food. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality and taste. Like I said, above average, especially at this price point. Hard to beat. I started thinking I should go back and get the breakfast sometime on its own merit, even if I'm not staying there. Overall. Well done. They are doing the best they can with the resources they have. And at this price point, it's hard to beat. Cons: The hotel shows some wear and tear; maintenance is always an issue in older buildings. It could use a refresh of paint. Some of the room configurations are a bit odd, where the bathroom door doesn't open all the way because of where they placed the sink and toilet. Occasionally, the title always will echo some sound from guests that haven't learned not to be loud late at night or early in the morning. But that's not the hotels fault that people aren't educated or respectful of others. The only negative part about this hotel location or the sketchy massage parlors that surround it. Some of them might offer legitimate services, but I get the impression that most of them are selling extra services based on the demeanor and dress of the people calling out to you as you walk by.

Nice hotel, comfortable bed, spacious room. Breakfast included. Polite staff. I arrived from the airport at 7:00 a.m., and reception said check-in wasn't until 2:00 p.m. (The website says 10:00 a.m.). They asked for an early check-in fee of $10.

We had a great time staying there. The environment was peaceful and pleasant. The staff were very friendly and always eager to provide good service. The only issue we faced was the air conditioning in the room.
