Nous sommes restés neuf jours dans cet établissement (dont deux Wonderbox) et nous sommes ravis de notre séjour. Tout était parfait. L'histoire du site racontée par David était passionnante, en anglais comme en français... La chambre Anémone était plus que confortable. Le petit-déjeuner était complet (pain, viennoiserie, beurre, confitures, yaourt maison, jus d'orange, thé ou café). Que demander de plus ? Nous avons pu bénéficier quatre soirs de la table d'hôtes. Simple et excellent. Nombreux conseils et avis de la part de David pour ne pas rater certaines visites telles que la Coupole et le Planétarium à Helfaut. Restaurants à 15/20 minutes à l'exception du week-end où il est préférable d'aller directement à Saint Omer (30 minutes). Etablissement situé en pleine campagne, à 1h/1h30 de la côte d'Opale et des principales villes et petites communes à visiter. C'était un choix de notre part, nous voulions nous poser, et nous ne le regrettons pas. Parking extérieur à 50 mètres. Excellent rapport qualité/prix. Un grand merci à David et Cécile pour leur passion du métier, leur gentillesse et leur professionnalisme.

En route to Calais we stayed at the Chateau for a single night. We’d managed to stay in excellent mail contact with Francis prior to our arrival, and actually as we arrived we were met at the door. The Chateau is a wonderful place to stay. No, not a Hyatt or Waldorf, but you’re not paying those prices, instead you are getting a unique experience in an old Chateau full of eclectic furniture, spiral wooden stairs and peaceful tranquility. Our room overlooked the garden to the rear and other than a dawn chorus was totally silent. Breakfast in the morning was a buffet, but made better by a supply of fresh croissants and breads on the table. Our hosts were fantastic. Conversation was easy and we were made to feel very at home. Would we stay again? certainly yes we would. As we were welcomed on the doorstep on our arrival as we departed we were waved off.

The hotel is really well situated in a lovely quiet area but near to motorway. The room we had was lovely. Very spacious and comfortable. Breakfasts were good and the bar and garden area lovely for sitting in. Our first evening meal was included in our half board rate and was very good, the waitress was excellent. The second night was my husbands birthday so we upgraded to the more expensive dinner. This was a mistake, the starters were nice, but my lamb was cold and my husbands beef was tough. We asked for additional vegetables which were not provided, instead they removed the potatoes from the dish, so we asked again after the meat was served and it took some time for more vegetables to arrive, by which time we had eaten the cold/tough meat! So some aspects excellent and others definitely average

J'ai vu de méchants avis. Nonobstant, en regard de ce tarif, la cuisine de Monsieur, Madame en services sérieuse et attentifs. Tous deux ”aux bons soins” ici, tout est ”aux petits oignons”, juste remarquables tous deux. Vous savez les gens, la perfection n'est +, ni ne sera jamais accessible, Rolex, Porsche, Dupont,... le savent... Mais le petit plus qui fait La Qualité... Ces patrons l'ont largement compris et vous la proposent à tarif si étudié. Ibis loin derrière, rien d'équivalent en cette ville, habitué que je suis du Plaza , Four seasons ou autres De Crillon, environs Georges IV, Paris. Ici et quels que soient les critiques, on doit Respect si on en a été client. Madame, Monsieur, je vous remercie et je repasserai très certainement, afin de retrouver chaleur, ambiance, respect et agrément. Bien à vous. Y. Symons
