Second stay at the Wonil Perth after a very nice first stay last year. The Wonil Perth is not your standard 4 or 5 star hotel (it would deserve 5 stars, by the way), but a unique place with a beautiful vibe, last but not least thanks to an excellent team. Staff is superfriendly, with Front Office Manager Khalid Awan being outstandingly courteous and service-oriented. Again a wonderful experience. Enjoyed the nice room, the beautiful view from the balcony, the terrace, the excellent food in the restaurant, and the welcoming atmosphere.

I am giving this hotel an average rating because there are some very good points about the hotel. We stayed in a one bedroom apartment. The good: Great location, spacious rooms, massive spa bath fits two people easily. Comfy beds. 2 TV's. 2 Air con units. Very quiet despite being next to the freeway. Well fitted out with everything you need. Good amenities on site eg heated pool, sauna, secure parking. The bad: First up got double charged for my room as I had already paid through Booking.com. Secondly after about 1 hour the main aircon which is basically in the middle of the room started leaking water all over the floor, we put a rubbish bucket under it and called the management. Some guy came up and told us that there was nothing he could do because it was a Saturday and the hotel was fully booked. He admitted that it was a known problem. Unfortunately we had to put up with it and the leak changed ends a couple of times and thwarted our attempts to catch all the water. Also the level of cleanliness leaved a lot to be desired. This is not a 4 star hotel. There were crumbs all over the stove top from the previous tenants, rips in the curtains and some stains on the furniture, and the general condition of fixtures was poor for example the silicon around the basin in the bathroom was loose and falling out. General cleanliness was also poor. Probably would not stay again.

We stayed a few nights here due to the UniSport Nationals. The hotel was modern, breakfast was decent and cooked to your liking, and the location was perfect for what we were after. Staff were friendly and welcoming, and there are enough amenities even during holidays to keep you looked after.

We wanted accommodation close to the Arena and this was perfect. The staff, cleanliness, breakfast, accessible bathroom, were all great. Shame about the comfort level of the bed and couch. The bed rolled into the middle big time and was very low. The couch was extremely low making it unusable for a person especially with a disability. They had obviously not thought about this aspect of useability only the bathroom to make it an accessible rating. We would stay again but not in that room and we would enquire about the comfort of the furniture.

Stayed here for 3 nights, arriving after long flight from UK. No problem checking in, room in quiet location as requested. Some construction work going on at back of hotel, but nothing that disturbed me in the evening. Room was clean and had everything I needed for a short stay. Corridor and room carpets could do with replacing, but I guess that is a big expense after the last few years. Breakfast was more than adequate, with plenty of choice. The hot buffet was all fresh and frequently replenished. The young man in the restaurant (sorry I don't know your name), was very helpful and polite. Reception were helpful in booking a very early morning airport taxi for me, and on the morning of departure made certain that I safely got into my taxi. As a solo female traveller, it's the little details like that that mean so much. I would definitely return if i was visiting Perth again

Both me and my son enjoyed our stay in this hotel. Although its more like a 'clubbing' area, I feel it is still safe and I have a child with me. And its just two of us.
Staffs are friendly and hotel is at a good location. Room is well maintained, clean and comfortable. We had good 4 night of sleep! View from our room is fantastic. Breakfast was good too.
Will definitely return again!

Centrally located and right by the main Scarborough beach. Nice sea and beach view. Breakfast buffet were well stocked. Car park fee was a bit high considering there are other options including free parking in the vicinity. Nevertheless, it was a pleasant and enjoyable experience.

PPengguna TetamuThe Westin could be everything you’d want from a great city hotel in a brand new curated precinct with restaurants and bars, let down completely by the incompetence and complete apathy of the staff. The exception was the front desk, with quick friendly service but beyond that it was completely amateur and haphazard. The room service was spotty everyday, and on 2 days the room was not made up, every other day the room coffee cups, milk or spoons or coffee pods or sugar or milk was not replaced or towels not provided. You’d think service staff have a checklist, should be easy right!? The lobby cafe in the hotel called Haven was more like Hell, I had to dedicate a separate review for that as the service was non existent, appalling. Garum again has so much potential, alas the service is astonishingly haphazard, food not delivered, 30 minutes to bring my wine, served up after my meal. Frankly the staff have no idea, the poor manager made up for it, but he is terribly let down by his team, who don’t seem to miss an opportunity to disappoint. Wow so much potential absolutely wasted by something very fixable, if you can’t change the people then change the people! There was clearly a lack of middle management. The porters at the door were equally incompetent or inexperienced, I fumbled my way through the two large entrance doors, and after I made my way through, there was a feeble attempt by one if the porters that lifted his head up from his phone to assist with my hand luggage into my car, he seemed so pleased with himself that he was my knight in shining armour, hopeless. Come on Westin, prove me wrong, really I want this fantastic hotel to succeed in my neighbourhood, I want to recommend you to my colleagues and friends but fix your rubbish service!! Until then I can’t recommend you, I have a reputation to protect something you should care about as well.

PPengguna TetamuCalling all curlies! Our room came with a Dyson hairdryer and diffuser. Perfect. Room decor is very classy as are all the common areas. Truth be told I found it a little dark to see well, but that’s the price of ambiance. We had a little problem with the bed on the first night and the staff quickly fixed it the next day. Great service. Excellent Italian restaurant in the hotel - you’ll have to book, even mid-week.

LLeeThe Sebel West Perth provided a budget-friendly accommodation option during my recent trip, allowing me to stay right in the heart of the city without breaking the bank.
The staff at The Sebel West Perth were friendly and efficient. While not overly luxurious, the hotel's lobby and common areas were tidy and well-maintained. The check-in process was quick, and the staff was readily available to address any inquiries.
The rooms, though basic, were clean and had all the essentials for a comfortable stay. While the furnishings were not the most modern, they served their purpose. The bed was comfortable enough for a decent night's sleep after a day of exploring the city.
The hotel's location was undoubtedly its strongest selling point. Being situated right in the city center meant easy access to popular attractions, restaurants, and public transportation. This convenience allowed me to make the most of my time in the city without spending much on transportation.

PPengguna TetamuI don’t think this hotel is in the best part of town but it is fairly central and easy to walk to some of the sights in the CBD and about 10 minutes walk from the station. However I wouldn’t walk around here at night on my own. I checked in quite late in the evening after a long flight from the UK. I had booked a small queen room and it was small. There was only a bedside table on one side of the bed, no wardrobe but two hooks with hangers on. There was a kettle, safe and fridge. The hotel website also mentioned a washing machine and tumble dryer for guests. What they did not tell me before I arrived was that there was building works going on in the hotel which started at 8 am. Not great when I was struggling with the UK / Australia time difference. It was quite noisy. The bed was really comfortable as there was a padded mattress topper. There was also air-con in the room which could be used to heat or cool the room. Although there was a mirror over the sink in the bathroom there was no mirror in the room with decent lighting to sort make up etc. out. There was a full length mirror near the door but not particularly well lit. The shower room was clean, with two large newish white towels provided. The water from the shower was hot, and decent pressure. It did leak a little under the door but not too much to become a problem. One of the issues with the room was noise control - I could clearly hear my neighbours raising and lowering the blind so there was definitely noise escape around the large windows. I was also woken during the night by one of the neighbours snoring loudly. And woken a few times each night by people returning to their rooms late. There is no restaurant for breakfast at the hotel but there are plenty of cafes locally. I chose this hotel because it was priced competitively but would not have chosen it otherwise

The hassles started when we had a flight cancelled by Virgin. Despite speaking to the manager, the hotel would not credit is for the 1 night lost (or extend our stay by one night). No negotiation. No refund.
We had upgraded our room to a pool view. You can see from the photo that it is more a car park view. I can't say I have seen a bigger car park. It was that big it almost shut out the daylight. I did complain and we did get moved after 1 night to a slightly better room. I overheard a conversation from another customer who was similarly unimpressed. The hotel are being disin genuous with their advertising.
It's a large conferment hotel with very basic customer service.
The breakfasts are average.
The rooms are tired
Or room wasnt cleaned one day and when I enquired the answer was ”they were too busy”!!!
I summary only stay here if they're is morning else in female.

Check-in staff, breakfast & location also good. A few stops on the free Red CAT from Perth Stn to the block behind. A block away is the wonderful vast expanse of Langley Park with the Swan River at the side.

PPengguna TetamuLots of the reviews here, I believe, are reviewing Mercure on Hay (the newer, more upmarket hotel and possibly better of the two although I haven’t seen it), whereas lots of reviews in Mercure Perth on Hay are referring to Mercure on Irwin. I’ve compared the photos and the hotel details and official photos are definitely that way round. SO… this one, Mercure Perth (which is on Irwin St) is the bad one. It’s awful. It’s tired, badly fitted out, dingy and I hope never to stay here again. My room was down a corridor of *****ed (and stained) carpet that made me feel nauseous to look at. The room was ok, the bed comfortable, but more stained carpet, and lots of things didn’t work. Several light bulbs were broken, lots of curtain hooks missing, the room safe didn’t work, the bath had a rusty patch in it. The aircon was too cold for me and I followed the instructions to turn up the temperature but it didn’t warm up. Two phone calls and three hours later, someone attended my room, told me the air con wasn’t adjustable as it’s one temperature for the whole building so the instructions were incorrect. He turned it off (supposedly) and I then spent my stay with no aircon although the room was still cold and not stuffy and the control panel didn’t say ‘off’ so I think the whole thing was just BS and they couldn’t be bothered to deal with it or give me another room. Staff care factor of the attendant was zero, and of the front desk staff, close to zero. I got woken up in the early hours of the morning several times by skip bins being moved around in the laneway outside (very loud chains being dropped in the skip bins and noise reverberation). The next night the fridge started making such a loud noise in the middle of the night that I had to turn it off and use the spare towels to absorb the water as it defrosted. I’m just curious why Mercure keep this one running. Perhaps it’s set at a different price range but it’s not doing their brand any favours with two Mercure hotels so close together, especially with all the reviews mixed up.

PPengguna TetamuLoved this hotel. I was a little nervous about some of the review/descriptions describing it as shipping containers -- but once you are there, it just feels like any normal hotel. The rooms are compact, but totally sufficient. The design is great, beds are super comfortable, AC worked well, bathroom was really nice.
And the service was fantastic. It's a boutique hotel and you really felt the personal touch. They warmly greeted us on arrival, were happy to store our bags, gave all kinds of great advice, etc. On the morning of our check-out, we had to get an early start and hit the road at 7am (to catch the 7:30 ferry to Rottnest Island). Breakfast starts at 7am, so when we asked the night before if we could get some kind of to-go box, the lady at the front desk said she would just arrive a little early in the morning and have everything ready at 6:45 so we could eat something before we left the hotel. Amazing! They also let us just leave our suitcases in our room and said they would bring them down and store them at the front desk. We really felt like they actually cared about us and were willing to do whatever to make our stay great. Highly recommend!

PPengguna TetamuMy family and I stayed at the Perth Mercure hotel and upon check in were told there was a bond for the room. We paid cash for the room and then was told if paying cash for bond it would be $100 dollars and $500 on card. We chose to pay cash. We were then told we still need to give our card so we did. After the transaction we were told a statement would be sent to our email. When we checked out we stated there wasn't a statement sent to us for our stay and how long before the return of our bond seeing as we paid cash. We were told 3 weeks. Wow we thought and carried on. 3 weeks later we called and asked what the go was as we never received bond not a statement and stated about the price of bond and what we were told as far as the price goes for card or cash. Because there was never a statement in the first place there was no record of a cash bond. In saying that we were then told that it was the other way around that is was $500 for cash to be paid on the bond and $100 for card. We were told something totally different. Because there was never a statement there is no trace of a bond paid in cash and are now out of $100. In final I was told that the employee had been working there for some time and would have never told us $100 bond and because there was no trace of it there would be no refund. Ultimately we were liars because the bond for cash in the hotel's procedure isn't the amount we paid and there was no trace of that payment being made in the first place. Won't be staying there again and will make sure to pay by card to avoid people making money off of my family and I. What a shame
