Having visited Hard Rock in Ibiza, I was disappointed in this hotel as the standard did not live up to expectations. It was my sisters 30th and the hotel did not want to accommodate us as a family party of 10! The service was extremely slow and the staff were rude. The adult only pool had been closed, with no prior warning, due to maintenance and the pool bars were closed. As much as I appreciate that it isn’t fully into the season yet, it has put me of visiting again or recommending to friends!

My Mum and I stayed at the Ritz-Carlton for 4 nights as part of her birthday celebration and it was perfect! The rooms are so comfortable and the bedding is sublime! The team who work there are so fantastic - nothing is too much trouble and ever so helpful. There are beautiful towels by the pool which don’t slip down and you get two as standard so not everything is wet when you get out! There is even suncream at the pool so you don’t have to bring your own! Wifi is brilliant throughout the hotel. Cocktails are beautiful, about 17-18 euros each but worth every penny! Absolutely delicious. My only criticism was the lack of food choices in the hotel by the pool - not a huge amount to choose from, very fish based (I don’t eat fish) and the service was a little slow for drinks but that could be the time of year. But there was fabulous popcorn cones and fruit kebabs which were shared in the morning which was great. When planning you’re trip, just be aware that there is nothing around without a taxi from this hotel - there’s some lovely local places nearby but you will need to get in a taxi. The beach area is incredibly well set up - the little train takes you there, there’s a full bar and restaurant, toilets, suncream and sun loungers. Overall it was a brilliant stay and would recommend the hotel for sure - would be even better once the refurbishments are done and there are a few more pools and the restaurant with a view is open again! Thanks for a lovely stay!

Our airline cancelled our flight from Tenerife South Airport at the last minute, and rerouted us via the North airport the next day and we had to very quickly book our own accommodation for the night. Booked through Bookings.com pretty much based on proximity to the airport as we had a very early flight the next day. After all the stress of the day the reception staff were lovely and welcoming. Our room was massive and well equipped. We eat at the hotel and it was good and also very reasonable. Due to the early flight and the clocks going forward we were a little anxious that we would set our alarms incorrectly or they wouldn’t update overnight. The night receptionist said he would do a walk up call for us and also would have a grab bag for breakfast waiting for us, as well as organising a taxi. The call happened and the breakfast bag was waiting for us with the Taxi. The staff couldn’t have been more helpful and made what was a very stressful time very pleasant, thank you.

Absolutely amazing. The architecture was beautiful and modern with exotic plants and open spaces. Staff were very friendly and welcoming when we arrived. Large swimming pool with bridges to lead to an island in the middle of the pool (very deep!). Rooms were clean and well appointed - enormous bed but made it feel a bit cramped. Entertainment was provided by singers performing every night (til 11pm so hard to sleep before then if room above). Nice child’s room with a trampoline, table football and air hockey. Upgraded to the preferred club option which gives access to a lounge with free drinks and snacks from 1.30-7pm which we used instead of lunch! Good breakfast buffet. Only used the evening buffet once, was reasonable but not amazing. Some of the other onsite restaurants didn’t appear to have been open all week. The position was outstanding as many good restaurants were nearby and beaches with water sports only down the road. 10/10 would definitely recommend and visit again!

We arrived late night at hotel, it took us a little longer for check-in since the receptionist was going somewhere for taking care of the other guests. Once we arrived the room, I was surprised by how big the room was and it has everything. A small kitchen in the corner with electric stove, a little sofa bed, a crib - because we had this trip with our baby, and the bathroom was pretty large also. Only one thing that I missed - I hope one day they will have bidè then it will be just perfect 🤩 but overall, it was perfect

This hotel was a complete disappointment to us. Having been to Tenerife numerous times and stayed in a large amount of 5* hotels there, we were hoping this one would be the cherry on the cake. How wrong we were. For what we paid, it was certainly a case of”fur coat and no knickers”: Cons: upon arrival 9pm-the checkin was ridiculously slow, despite the fact there was only 1 other couple there. Information was lacking and a map given to us was most un helpful. The walk to the room was like a marathon and was something that eventually started to wear on us throughout the week. The walk to get to a pool proved arduous.yes you can get a buggy, but that can take up to 15 mins to arrive. The room was very dated. Furniture basic. The beds kept separating from the wall, which meant you could wake up with your pillows in a gap between the headboard and the mattress. No USB by the bed and only 1 plug socket, which had a lamp plugged into it so you have to pull the side table out to access the plug every day after the maids had been. There is no where to hang swimming costumes on the balcony so we ended up putting them over chairs. The breakfast area is painful. The egg station is painfully slow and the chef certainly doesn’t understand the concept of multi tasking. By the time you get your eggs, your toast is cold as it’s at the other end of the room. We waited over 25 minutes for someone to bring tea/coffee before I had to ask for some. I certainly don’t expect to get up and put towels down in a 5* resort, but unfortunately if you don’t do that -you didn’t get a bed. We also felt that the pools were very cold and not especially clean, but that could be the rocks that they are formed around causing this. Pros: the staff in general were very helpful and generally happy. Although the hotel is in URGENT need of a refurb, the cleaners do an amazing job and the ladies who cleaned our room were the best. I e stayed at places for half the price that were so much better so we were left feeling very disappointed.

The negatives definitely outweigh the positivies with this hotel but nonetheless , for a fair review: Pros: - the breakfast is varied and very good quality, you have plenty of vegetarian options , variety of fruit, pastries, fish, cheese etc. even alcoholic drinks such as Cava -the room is modern and spacious. we had a garden view and we enjoyed the view from the terrace. The turn down service is also nice. - there is live music every night in the lounge Cons: - very noisy hotel, both around the pool area as well as at night on the hotel's corridors, that is due to several big groups of tourist groups (20+ people, mainly British, with teenagers running around and the hotel is very ok with this as they are likely coming on repeat visits every year due to travel agency recommendations (this is one of the hotels that serves kosher food). Therefore if you're looking for relaxation time as a couple with no kids, this is not the place for you. - food at Seen restaurant is not particularly good, we tried the black ink rice and we could not finish the meal, it was way too heavy and garlicky -the pools are not well heated, compared to other hotels we stayed at (incl in Tenerife). Though there are several pools you can choose from, there is really only 1 jacuzzi type (so very small) that is actually properly heated, which means that everyone goes to that pool, it becomes super crowded with kids playing ball games and the other pools remain completely empty the whole day. I have never seen jacuzzi type pools being used for ball games in other hotels, so this is a first and again, staff is not restricting this at all.

What an absolute hidden gem this hotel is. By no means will it be what everyone is looking for in a hotel, but for us, it couldn't have been any more perfect. As residents in the south of the island, it's nice to have a little 2 or 3 night break in Puerto de La Cruz every so often, to get away from familiarity. For the sake of an hour and a half drive, you feel like you are in a completely different place altogether. The streets around the old town could easily be mistaken for Seville or Valencia. It's on one of these cute, charming and narrow streets that you will find the Playa Azul. Nestled amongst listed buildings this newly refurbished hotel stands out with its ultra modern facade. For us the location was exactly what we were looking for - central, charming part of town, surrounded by restaurants and a few cocktail bars. Simple. The price and star rating of this hotel can be unnerving. We aren't 2 ⭐ people at all, but we trusted our gut and were right to do so. On arrival in 38°C heat (you'll need Google maps to find it the first time) we were instantly stunned by three things. Firstly, how super modern the interior was (the photos don't lie). Secondly, how cute and small it was. And, thirdly, it was bloomin' freezing! Which was an absolute godsend. They do not mess about with the Aircon. It just screamed 'boutique hotel'. The lad on reception was lovely, too, and helpful. Check in took minutes. The rooms are very snazzy (and, again, freezing). No keys or key cards needed, as all the doors have a keypad on, and to enter your room you have to enter a 4 digit code (hi-tech or what!?) Everything seemed almost brand new. Big modern flat screen on the wall, with netflix etc, which is nice in the evening when getting ready to go out. Theres no decent views here, but that wasn't important to us at all. Big, comfy double bed. Walk-in shower with endless hot water. Storage space was lacking a bit, but enough to manage. The mini fridge is useful as it's a self catering hotel, so we put a few bottles of water in there straight away and a few beers. There's a hair dryer. There's a kettle, not that you really need it as in reception there is a 24hr help yourself area with water, a coffee machine and every tea known to man, all free of charge. As we intended, we spent little time in the hotel. Daytime was spent at the Lago Martianez soaking up this incredible weather (€5.50 pp), eating seafood and sinking a few beers, before returning in the evening to use the jacuzzi for a bit, on the roof (what a lovely touch). I don't think this roof terrace gets too much use, but we made sure to spend half an hour up there both evenings, before returning to the room, to the blessed Aircon, haha. If that doesn't sound like the perfect day I don't know what does. I spent a night at the Adonis Plaza last week before boarding a cruise and am currently back at the hotel for a night at the end of the cruise before flying home tomorrow. Last week was a pleasant stay in a quiet, clean room (number 407) with comfortable bed and nice/modern bathroom. Today is sadly a different experience. I was told my room would be ready at 2pm; the time came and went and the room still wasn't ready so the receptionist - who was very helpful - said she would give me a different room (number 614). Similarly equipped to the room I had last week unfortunately this has a connecting door to the adjacent room and the noise is terrible! I can hear every word spoken next door as loud as if the people were in my room. Also, despite being on the sixth floor, there is a lot of noise from the street outside. The rooms with connecting doors are only suitable for families not for people who don't want to have to listen to everything said by the guests next door. Sadly, I would not stay at the hotel again which is a shame as the staff are very pleasant and the hotel is well located for the cruise port.

PPengguna TetamuThe hotel is very clean. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They do serve delicious meals, loved the servings of their breakfast, and being a coffee drinker, they have the most delicious one there. The location in the Center of the city, the beach is 30 minutes with the public transport 5 minutes walk from the hotel. By car it’s 10-15 minutes. A perfect spot to go for evening walks. The area feels very safe in the evening, the city Center is very lively even during the week days. The area is Perfect for people travelling alone and couples or even families.

Da wir La Gomera zu Fuß umrunden wollten, hatten wir einige Sorgfalt auf die Planung der Etappen und die frühzeitige Reservierung passender Quartiere verwendet. Als wir auf der Etappe nach Las Hayas nach sechs Stunden schweißtreibendem Aufstieg noch fünf Minuten von der ersehnten Dusche in den Casas Rurales Amparo entfernt waren, traf eine lapidare WhatsApp-Nachricht der Vermieterin ein, es gebe ein ”last minute problem” mit unserer Reservierung. Sie habe in Arure Ersatz besorgt, das seien ja nur 10 Minuten. Kein Wort des Bedauerns oder der Entschuldigung. Offensichtlich hatte man für die Buchung einer größeren Radgruppe unsere beiden Zimmer benötigt, uns aber erst möglichst kurzfristig informiert, damit wir keine Chance zum Umdisponieren mehr hatten. Das Personal vor Ort im Restaurant Amparo war oder tat ahnungslos, man sei hier nur die Ausgabestelle der Schlüssel, die Zimmervermietung laufe über eine Agentur. Die Vermieter in Arure waren zwar superlieb und bemüht, die Ferienwohnung im Hinterhof des Restaurants El Jape war aber trotzdem das trostloseste Quartier, in dem wir je übernachtet haben. Man möge die Bilder mit denen auf der Homepage der Casas Amparo vergleichen. Die Behauptung unserer ursprünglichen Vermieterin in ihrer WhatsApp, das Ersatzquartier sei ein Upgrade, das sie uns netterweise ohne Zusatzkosten organisiert habe, macht mich deshalb auch nach zweimal Drüberschlafen noch sprachlos. Immerhin ein Taxi organisierte sie nach Aufforderung, damit wir mit zwei erschöpften Kindern nicht nochmal eineinhalb Stunden zu einem Ort zurücklaufen mussten, an dem wir gar nicht hatten übernachten wollen. Statt des geplanten Essens auf der Panoramaterrasse mit Meerblick des Restaurants Amparo also Abendessen in einem dusteren Hinterzimmer in Arure. Es kann ja mal was schief gehen, aber wenn ich mein Quartier überbuche, sollte ich mich wenigstens bemühen, den Leidtragenden eine angemessene Entschädigung zu bieten, und sie nicht noch für dumm verkaufen und was von ominösen ”technical problems” fabulieren. Nicht mal die Getränke an der Bar gingen aufs Haus. Das eigentlich in Spanien vorgeschriebene Beschwerdebuch wurde nicht vorgelegt, obwohl wir es verlangten. Offensichtlich hat es hier jemand wegen seiner Monopolstellung nicht nötig, sich um zufriedene Gäste zu bemühen.
