I would like to review based on the management of the hotel and trip.com. I requested for a cancellation/reschedule 3 days before check in date which wouldn't have been necessary but because my son had the HFMD then turned chicken pox, we had to postpone our entire trip to another date as we had to be quarantined to prevent the spread to others. I provided the quarantine documentation given by the doctor stated that my son had the HFMD virus. If we were irresponsible human beings, we would have just continued on our trip and then in turn spread the virus but we weren't and we postponed our trip. We didn't mind if we had to pay an extra fee but since we were dealing with a system rather than empathic humans, we couldn't negotiate. When we made the booking, we did select the free cancellation option but after looking at the date, the cancellation option was to cancel on the same day of the booking (??!!) which does not make sense because that would mean the guest would have to cancel their trip on the same day of the booking. What's the point in that?? And our request was not extremely last minute. It was 3 days before (Trip on Wednesday. Request on Monday).
We're very displeased with the experience of the bookings.
