The hotel boasts a wonderful tropical ambiance, complete with a lake and the sea right there. They offer free boat tours on two different routes, allowing guests to visit the neighboring hotel, which adds a unique touch to the experience. Service was generally good. Our room had lemon essential oil, which was very relaxing. We had a child with us and had to pay 450 baht per breakfast, but they kindly converted the sofa into an extra bed for free. Regarding facilities, it really depends on the age of the room. The newly renovated premium rooms have excellent facilities, but some older rooms have facilities that aren't quite as good. The hotel is literally a two-step walk to the beach, where the waves are gentle and the coastline stretches out beautifully. Cleanliness was generally tidy, comfortable, and well-maintained. Ctrip's customer service was truly impressive! When our room's air conditioning had issues, Ctrip helped us arrange a room change within about an hour. I'll definitely be booking hotels with Ctrip again for my next international trip; it gives me peace of mind.

Let me put it this way: I was curious about Laguna and wanted to explore it, but staying within the resort complex was incredibly inconvenient. The free boat service had no schedule, so we had no idea how to get around. The hotel is so massive that it's easy to get lost, and there are no clear signs to guide you. Also, I'm not sure why, but when I booked, it clearly stated three breakfasts were included, and it turned out to be no breakfast at all. I highly doubt I misread it. The check-in welcome ceremony was excellent though; the young man who assisted me left a fantastic impression! However, the hotel facilities are dated, and the drainage in the bathroom was poor. What I really want to emphasize is that I hope the hotel doesn't just focus on clearing fallen leaves and debris within its own grounds. Please do more to clean the beaches, especially beyond your immediate area, and organize regular beach clean-up activities. You could even involve guests as volunteers. I went out to clean the beach myself this morning. I truly hope the hotel will extend its efforts to protect and regularly clean other beaches, not just its own. During the rainy season, a lot of trash washes ashore, which is a real eyesore and quite upsetting. The natural environment here is undeniably beautiful, but staying here makes it feel very inconvenient to go anywhere. Perhaps it's because we just came from a top-tier hotel in Phuket, The Surin, so there was a slight drop in expectations. Overall, it's still good, and I hope it continues to improve.

This hotel is definitely worth revisiting; the experience exceeded my expectations, and the service was incredibly satisfying. The beach has fine sand and clear water, and over ninety percent of the guests are international. There are small convenience stores and restaurants nearby, about a 10-15 minute walk along the main road. If you take the shortcut from the hotel's beach down a small path next to the hotel, it's only about a 5-minute walk. Besides convenience stores, there are also several eateries there, and some even have Chinese menus. The prices are quite reasonable; a pineapple fried rice, a stir-fried noodle dish, and a fresh shrimp spring roll cost around 160-180 RMB.

Highly recommend for a restful days experience. Water activities at private beach.

Stayed at Angsana again after our last stay 10 years ago. Although certain aspects, such has the TV, air conditioner control, kids room decor and certain parts of the interconnected pool feels a bit dated, the spacious environment and excellent and friendly staff make Angsana one of our most memorable hotel resort. We stayed in a room with a king bed and added an extra bed for our family of 4 (would be even better if the rooms actually had such extra bed as a permanent room option as the room was definitely big enough). Great restaurant food choices at reasonable prices. Our mini fridge had an issue of freezing and shattering the hotel provided glass water bottle everyday, but the staff came to clean up and replaced the bottle everyday. Saw some other rooms have a clothing drying rack on their balcony, which could have been useful if we had it in our room as well. The sand at the beach was very nice and would have been better if life jackets for both adults and children were easily available. There were also for washing stations in the shape of frog statues at locations where you may be returning to the building after going into sand, but it would be better if these had better signage and fixed alignment as it would get shifted and not spray out water properly as other guests may move the frog throughout the day. The hotel beach can easily access the neighboring local restaurant/bar with even more affordable pricing. The short ride by Grab/taxi to Boat Avenue is well worth it with a proper supermarket (Canal Village only has a small essentials-only mini mart) and lots of restaurants and spa/massage places. Another note, as the entire hotel has breakfast buffet at the Marketplace restaurant, it gets crowded fast from around 9am (and the egg station would have a long wait). Definitely recommend staying at Angsana for overall experience/quality/value for money/pricing.

The room was incredibly spacious, and we were assigned one very close to the beach. It had a 1.4-1.5 meter large bed and a 1-meter single bed, which was perfect for a family stay. The breakfast was also excellent. The only minor downside is that the room facilities are a bit old. For CNY 1800+ per night during Chinese New Year, it was definitely great value for money.

Traveling with my family of five, including my mom and younger brother, we booked a room that felt like a townhouse. It's a bit old, given how long it's been open, but it's well-maintained, and the hotel environment is pretty good. The location is ideal for a relaxing getaway, perfect for staying put at the hotel. It's a bit of a distance if you want to head out to Patong.

This hotel is part of the Banyan Tree brand, and the Banyan Tree next door has a beautiful golf course. I was so pleasantly surprised! The hotel is quite a distance from the old town, so we didn't go out for a few days. We took taxis to a nearby beach for dinner every night. Traffic in Phuket is just one word: congested. It was a leisurely, slow-paced vacation, so we weren't in a hurry. Getting back to the room, I booked a LOFT. The sofa bed on the first floor was perfect for my brother to sleep on. This room type is by the lake, and the view is excellent! 👍

The hotel's hygiene was acceptable, though it felt a bit humid. There were a lot of mosquitoes outside at night, but the overall environment was clean and I wasn't bitten. Breakfast was plentiful, satisfying my Chinese palate. The restaurants offered decent food at reasonable prices, but with a 10% service charge and 7% tax, the total became a bit pricey. The private beach had fine sand and clear water, perfect for swimming. The pool was more for playing around than serious swimming. The complimentary boat tour was a highlight, taking us for a pleasant spin around the Banyan Tree. The evening fireworks show was fantastic! 👍👍

The hygiene wasn't great; I found sand on the bed right after checking in. The facilities are a bit dated, which is understandable given how old the hotel is, but the room size is good. The common areas are still grand and impressive, and the service attitude is excellent.

The hotel is located in an upscale area of Phuket with a great surrounding environment. It has direct access to the beach 🏖. Taxis are quite expensive, starting from 300-500 baht to go anywhere! The staff's attitude towards Chinese guests is just okay; they only smile if you tip them. Breakfast is the same every day, but there's enough to eat.
