Booked 2 rooms and it is a pleasant experience to stay at 忠恕園. Should have arranged with the staff for xian north train station pick up then we can get to the hotel without much struggling in locating the hotel. Price is cheaper than taking taxi and the golf cart. Avoid to eat inside the city at all cost. Food is extremely horrible and identical. Deep fried frozen food and you can taste the frozen taste. Walk out from the South Gate and you can find good food.

Very nice place with a very good location. The owner was very helpful and she could speak English. Totally recommended!

位置很好找。把車停在西停車場。從西門進來很久。在古城裡遊玩方便，老闆服務熱情。就是簡單的住宿，不要跟大酒店相比較哦。

Excellent stay. It's a massive complex with many sections, looks beautiful day and night, perfect location near entrance gate to city wall and main roads. Room was big, clean, comfortable and nicely designed. Toiletries and breakfast included, good food. Staff very friendly, helpful and patient with my attempts at chinese/using a translator app. Overall great value, no issues at all.

如果攜程可以打十分，我必須給十分，床墊那是十分的硬！可能北方人習慣睡炕。另外房間熱水器温度不夠，對於冬天到訪的遊客難以適應，我選擇沒洗澡。對於民宿而言，環境沒得説，老房子的味道，老闆在服務方面做的都很用心。繼續改善吧，加油！ 平遙古城挺值得來一趟，吃的也便宜，還會送點油茶、花生米之類的。景點裏面有非強制的額外消費的項目。

Great place in Pingyao. It is reasonably priced, a bit out of the very center (meaning also out of tourists crowds that can be quite noisy in the evenings and mornings), but still close, has same old-style design as the more popular and well-established places that cater to foreigners, but priced twice as much. Pick-up and drop off service is provided - just contact the hotel in advance via phone using the reception of tour previous hotel - no one speaks English - it will solve your communication issue if you do not speak Chinese. At the place itself everyone is very eager to help - use your phone app to translate. Onwer helped me to buy tickets to Pingyao attractions and Terracota Army as I was heading to Xian next (available only through WeChat Pay that is in turn is not availablefor foreign tourists as of April 2023). If you go to Shuanglin temple, be sure to ask to buy tickets through WeChat for you as well. I was able to buy physical one by pure compassion of local guard who asked the staff to open ticket office just for me (Probably was the only foreigner in Pingyao at a time). Please also note that as of April 2023, the reconstruction works in the historical city parts are continuing, so, large chunks of the city within the walls are not looking as great as it could have been. The very center of the city is mostly untouched though and you can still come and explore. If going in spring, be prepared for the temperature swings. I got a temperature drop from 28C to 3C within 2 days by the moment I got to Pingyao. It was even snowing at night.

酒店在平遙古城西門外，非常近，正門在古城停車場裏面，開車去需要走另一個門進院子裏。酒店古香古色，環境很不錯，服務熱情，給我們介紹平遙古城遊玩攻略，早餐也還可以吧，早上退房還送了陳醋。

從北門進溜達二百米就到了 去主街和景點都很方便 清明假期期間古城人多 但走進客棧裏面就很安靜 沒有喧鬧 不會被人流吵到 客棧裏很美 晉商大院的樣子很好看 白天有很多漂亮小姐姐來拍寫真 很出片 設施：電視 吹風機都有 很齊全 衞生：乾淨 環境：真的很漂亮 住在晉商大院的感覺 很不一樣 服務：前台小姐姐人很好 很温柔 延遲退房2小時:退房當天還可以再在古城轉轉 很方便呢 山西特色特產禮包:很有心呢

看到了評價才來。 好評 1，吧枱小姐姐和好像是老闆娘很熱情 2，網評介紹基本和實際相符，確實古香古色。 差評 1，關於服務並沒有像網評的真實，我住的是2樓，樓梯還蠻多的，算是保安兼管家的大哥衹是做了簡單引導。並沒有主動幫助我們。 2，房間內味道特別大，據老闆娘説是松木味道，但是確實味道大，影響體驗 3，衞生間該優化一下了，很陳舊。印象整體體驗 4，本想早上拍相片的。建築風格確實特立獨行，但是門口的衣架上大早上，有內褲就很拉垮。
