FfabianuWe had a wonderful stay at the hotel. The room was large, spotless clean and nicely decorated. The courtyard at night looked phenomenal, although I'm unsure if the lanterns stay up year long or if this was only for new years. The staff was very friendly and organized free transport to and from the train station for us. We were worried that the traditional Kang bed would be uncomfortable, but we ended up having the best sleep in some time. The breakfast was amazing as well!

PPengguna TetamuWe had the best stay at Elswhwere Hotel West Gate. The building is restored it the nicest way really gives you the feeling of timetravel. The people working in the hotel, were carrying and welcoming. They explained us how to navigate the city, helped us buy tickets for the city sights, recommend restaurants and we even got a room upgrade and lovely gifts to take home and remember our time in Pingyao.
The bed was so comfortable and we had the best sleep. Can recommend this hotel full heartedly. Would definitely come back! Thank you Helen and Fenny for making our stay so memorable.

升級的零壓力床，體驗感很不錯，兩晚都睡得很好
還是有2點想吐槽的
1.一個是浴巾不乾淨，用完了之後全身癢，衹好重新洗了個澡，用自己帶的毛巾擦了
2.一樓正對着的兩個房間，不知道是鐘點房還是什麼，幾個大哥開着房門躺在床上，我入住的時候嚇一跳，還以為進的是什麼小旅館😂

HHirao KenI’m honestly speechless! The host upgraded me to a suite without me even asking—it was such an incredible gesture. He speaks enough English to help with anything you need and is genuinely one of the kindest people I've met. Both he and his son even ran out to the street to catch me when they saw I was walking in the wrong direction! They truly have hearts of gold.
As for the stay, everything was spotless. The bathroom has a seated toilet and the shower has great pressure and hot water. Even though Pingyao was close to zero degrees, I stayed perfectly warm. Also, this is easily the most exotic and beautiful hostel I’ve ever stayed in. The interior design is just stunning!

PPengguna TetamuWe had such a lovely stay here and truly felt welcomed from the moment we arrived. The hotel is owned by a husband and wife, the husband kindly picked us up from the train station and later dropped us back, which made our travel so much easier and stress-free. The wife checked us in warmly and looked after us throughout our stay, always making sure we were comfortable. Her English was very good, and she gave us fantastic recommendations.
The homemade breakfast she prepared for us the next morning was such a thoughtful touch and made us feel like guests in their home rather than just customers at a hotel. Their kindness and genuine hospitality really stood out.
The room was modern and very clean, and the hotel itself is so picturesque! Staying here made our experience in Pingyao incredibly memorable. We’re very grateful for how well they looked after us and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area!

FFlo RidahNice and spacious hotel with friendly and helpful staff.
The room was as described and quite large. Very clean and fresh looking with a nice big shower.
The breakfast was great too with many choices: from noodle soup and add ons to bread, fresh fruit, yoghurt and cake.
Not to mention it is just across the main street leading to the ancient city. I can honestly recommend this hotel!

JJessica Rubinia RuzzaThe hotel is conveniently situated near the north gate of the ancient city. Everything is just a short walk away. Also it’s a courtyard hotel, which makes it very charming and quiet. Everyone in the staff has been super welcoming and friendly, and the manager speaks PERFECT English.
The room was also very spacious and the bed was comfy.
The only thing I wasn’t keen on was the breakfast. There is a chinese option and a western option (subject to an extra charge). I’ve only tried the chinese one. What i didn’t like is that you don’t get to choose what you eat, you get a set meal. I think would be better if the hotel had a wider selection (fruit maybe) and gave guests total freedom to choose what to have.
All in all, a good stay.

TthesiblingIt's safe to say this was the best hotel in China so far (and I've been to many cities). They offer a free pickup service to and from the city gate, from where you can easily reach the train station using a taxi (around 20 RMB). The hotel is located in the center of the ancient city, which really boosts the great vibe it gives. The hotel buildings are very old but in fantastic shape (like built yesterday). It really feels amazing just walking to your room through the country yard. The whole staff was fluent in English and extremely welcoming and generous.
The room itself was very spacious and tremendously clean. It had all amenities needed like a heating and cooling AC, exclusive wifi router. The bath had extra shoes and even a hairdryer. We got fresh toothbrushes and toothpaste. The bath tub is also amazing and the rain shower has great temperature (which is important to me, as I don't like fiddling with the water mixer).
If you plan to stay in Pingyao (ancient city) I can wholeheartedly recommend this place and will definitely book it again for my next trip to pingyao.

PPengguna Tetamu這次平遙之行，非常榮幸選擇了榮耀民宿，雖然在古城外，但出行超方便，步行5-6分鐘就到古城入口，還免去了古城內交通管制的麻煩。房間乾淨又温馨，床品軟乎乎的，晚上一沾枕頭就睡着。民宿老闆是一名二十年的退役老兵，服務超熱情，不僅幫忙規劃路線，還推薦了很多本地人常去的小店，價格非常優惠才幾十塊錢，真的是物超所值。特別推薦大家可以入住體驗

PPengguna Tetamulocation is perfect. Hotel is located in a beautiful building. Room was ok. Please note that the beds are really hard, especially for European people. I knew we had original kan beds, and expected them to be hard, but they were really really hard. Our kids were to tired and we let them sleep out a bit, so we skipped breakfast which was until 09:30. People worlking at hotel could be a bit more helpfull. The hotel itself is bigger then expected. If you go for teh scenic adventure, you can choose to stay here as the location is perfect. You also only need to walk like 20 meters max from the drop off point where no shuttle busses are allowed.
