Hier gibt es wohl nur zwei Möglichkeiten: entweder ist man spontan begeistert vom morbiden Charme des ”Alten Kastens” oder möchte gleich wieder schreiend davonlaufen nach Betreten des zugewiesenen Zimmers... Dass in diesem nur ansatz- und stellenweise renovierten Haus der Gründerzeit von den insgesamt rund 150 Zimmer überhaupt noch 30 belegt werden können, grenzt an ein Wunder. Man staunt über das unglaublich pompöse Treppenhaus, über die horrorfimltauglichen Flure und das (Frühstücks-) Restaurant aus der Zeit, als die Bilder laufen lernten. Weniger filmreif sind die eiskalten Heizkörper im doch etwas sehr bescheiden möblierten Zimmer sowie das, naja, wenig einladende Bad. Unveränderliche Pluspunkte: Die perfekte Lage an der sehenswerten Altstadt sowie das günstige Parken im Innenhof. Die Damen im Rezeptionskabuff sind freundlich, und das im Preis enthaltene Frühstück ist einfach, aber auch nicht ganz schlecht. So oder so: Ein Hotel-Erlebnis, das niemand schnell vergessen wird.

Das Hotel CENTRAL in Pilsen steht wohl am zentralsten Platz der Stadt (Namesti Republiky) und ist ein architektonisch noch in der Sowjetzeit gebautes Haus, gemütlich ausgestattet und vor allem preislich unschlagbar in dieser Lage. Freundliche Mitarbeiter, sowohl in der Reception, beim Frühstück und auch in der heimeligen Bar im obersten Stock. Die Zimmer sind nicht am neuesten Stand aber zweckmäßig eingerichtet und verfügen über Dusche und WC, Fernsehen und WLAN. Besonders hervorzuheben ist das ausgezeichnet bestückte Frühstücksbuffet mit kalten und warmen Speisen. Für einen Stadtaufenthalt bestens geeignet. Vom Bahnhof zum Hotel gibt es eine rasche Strassenbahnverbindung. Restaurants und Cafes sowie die interessantesten Sehenswürdigkeiten sind fussläufig erreichbar. Ich habe dort schon mehrere Male gewohnt und kann dieses Haus gerne weiter empfehlen.

Enjoyable a comfy stay in this well located hotel, close to the train station (less then 5 minutes walk). To the city center 5-10 min easy walk and the Pilsner Urquell brewery just opposite - only to cross the bridge over the busy road. Warm welcome from the staff at the reception and friendly but professional staff throughout the stay. The room and bathroom big enough and spotlessly clean. The bed super comfy for good night rest. The kettle to prepare tea/coffee would be handy to have in the room. The breakfast was fantastic with great selection of hot and cold items, pastry, wide range of nuts and dried fruit for the yogurt. For business trip recommended hotel.

Für mich wohl das beste Hotel der Stadt. Pilsen ein tolle Stadt mit Geschichte und sehr guter Gastronomie. Das Personal im Hotel ist sehr freundlich und Kundenorientiert. Wir fühlen uns jedesmal sehr sehr wohl hier. Als Marriott Bonvoy Member wird man hier sehr gut behandelt. Wir sagen auch im Namen unserer ganzen Familie vielen Dank für eine schöne Zeit.

What a nice surprise, probably the best Ibis we’ve ever stayed in. It don’t look much from the outside but the rooms were more than adequate for our one night stay. Good sized, beautifully clean with an enormous shower. Tea making facilities and a hair dryer were a welcome addition. Staff were friendly and the food in the restaurant was really good. I’d happily stay here again. Ibis Ostend take note… that’s a whole different review!

Es gibt zwei Probleme in diesem Hotel: Direkt neben dem Lift gibt es einen Notausgang, welcher zu einem der Parkplätze führt. Diese Tür ist während des geamten Aufenthaltes verschlossen gewesen. Ich bin mir sicher, dass dies eindeutig gegen die Gesetzgebung in Tschechien verstößt. Das zweite Problem ist, dass der Zutritt mit Hunden im Restaurant sowohl beim Frühstück als auch beim Abendessen von der Hoteldirektion ermöglicht wird. Mehrere Gäste haben ihren Vierbeiner zum Essen mitgenommen, und kein einziger Hund (einer davon war offenbar ein Kampfhund) hatte einen Beißkorb ums Maul gebunden. Das ist vollkommen inakzeptabel und kann dazu führen, dass andere Gäste gefährdet werden.

Best hotel in town for summer break: in the city, surrounded by green park, beautiful garden with swimming pool and tennis courts. Rooms are spacious, well equipped, wifi worked smoothly. Check-in/Parken: sehr schnell, kostenfreier, bewachter Parkplatz Lage: Perfekt zu den Sehenswürdigkeiten in der Stadt, der Brauerei, dem Fußball- sowie dem Eishockeystadion, dem Zoo, Kulturbahnhof und dem Techmania Sciencefictionfilm Center Ordentliche Gastronomie im Haus sowie auch in der Umgebung Zimmer: sehr sauber und ruhig, angenehme Raumgröße, Doppelbett mit guter Matratze, Badezimmer in gutem Zustand Frühstück: ein wenig beengt und wuselig, aber absolut gut und ausreichend Für mich sind das 5 Sterne und ein hervorragendes Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis !
