This is the finest hotel I have ever stayed in. In addition to the exquisite decor and quality furnishings, what makes this a five star hotel is the incredible staff. They bend over backwards to ensure your stay is memorable. There was a bottle of champagn on ice in our room to welcome us. On my way out to go to the store, one of the staff asked what we were getting. I replied outlet adapters. He replied ”no need, I'll have a couple brought up to the room. When we were checking out, they gave us a breakfast-to-go bag which included juice, yogurt, fruit and pastries. When I asked about an ice machine, they brought a bucket of ice up to the room. Turn down service included chocolates and sometimes berries. House labeled bottled water in the room was gratis. Once she showed up with a couple of breaded, fried shrimp tapas. Shout out to the breakfast staff as well. They were cheery and professional at all times. The crystal chandeliers, deep pile rugs, spotless interiors, classic architectural touches, incredible service and a very relaxing vibe all add up to the finest travel experience one could hope for. Everything about Torel is breathtaking.

The initial reaction when you walk in is this is a breathtaking old world hotel. The lobby area is spectacular and the doorman with the top hat and elevator with the leather seat takes you back to another age. Our room was spacious snd looked out over the pool and a view of the city. But it’s the little things that make you question if it’s really a 5 star property. The door stop was broken and consequently the door handle had made a hole in the wall. The display of oranges at breakfast were moldy. The decking around the pool needs repairing and despite two requests no one ever brought towels to the pool or cleaned up glasses and food left behind from other guests. While these are small things, they are things that a top hotel doesn’t overlook. We enjoyed our stay but likely won’t return as it just wasn’t our vibe.

We had an excellent experience at this hotel. From check-in to check-out the front desk was extremely friendly and helpful, including in making restaurant recommendations, calling taxis, and printing out train tickets. The rooms were large, comfortable, and quiet. The breakfast had a wide array of items at the buffet. The location made it very easy to get everywhere we wanted to see. We even tried out the spa and both got great massages from Anna. Highly recommend.

Unwelcoming. Efficient. Unfriendly. Cold and hard. Our experience was colored by our reception at the hotel which was cold and unfriendly and full of ”rules” making one feel less like a guest than an inconvenience. The process was efficient but lacking warmth. Our room on thec15th floor was small. The closet shelf collapsed when I pit something in the closet. The picture fell off the wall when placing our suitcases. I have never before been asked to book a time for breakfast. The breakfast was very good but the buffet layout was cramped and the staff were running around all the time. It felt very much like a production line hotel. On the other hand the dinner was good although a thin menu and the restaurant staff were very nice. The location was poor, not close to the center of town but I guess if you were there for the shopping it was OK. A half hour walk to most sights.

The hotel is located 10 min walk to Ribeira, the key tourist district in Porto. The location is excellent as all the major attractions and city centre are within walking distance to the hotel. Ubers to / from airports are easily available for average of Euro 15. The rooms are contemporary and well furnished. The breakfast variety is limited, in particular for the vegetarians.

A minha estadia de uma noite no BessaHotel no Porto foi muito agradável. O quarto era elegante, limpo e moderno, proporcionando um ambiente confortável. A experiência na piscina foi positiva, especialmente por estar a chover o dia inteiro, apesar da desorganização causada pela ocupação constante das espreguiçadeiras por outros hóspedes que iam embora sem recolher as toalhas e ocupando-as inutilmente. A localização central, próxima ao Metro de Bulhão, facilitou o acesso a diversos pontos na cidade. Atendimento rápido e sem muitas burocracias. Voltaria!! :)

An obvious first class hotel. The room was exceptionally appointed and very spacious. The bathroom was stunning with all marble, separate water closet, shower and double sink vanity. Two closets for hanging and multiple drawers. Very quiet when windows were closed but opened to get the Porto city vibe, when desired. Great location and easily walkable to river or around town. The breakfast buffet was plentiful and delicious. The hotel team was gracious and helpful. The gym was small but had everything you needed to maintain some workout routine on vacation! We didn't enjoy the spa but toured it, including the indoor pool, and it was beautiful. The bar was cozy for a pre-evening drink and the staff was wonderful. Highly recommend this hotel as it will make your Porto experience one to remember!

Not usually one for writing reviews, however our time at Torel Advantgarde was so amazing I felt compelled to do so. The interior design is stunning. Super stylish yet welcoming. Our room was spacious and beautifully decorated. So inspirational I have since been desperately googling in the hope of finding replicas of the gorgeous bed cushions! The food in the restaurant was simply delicious and you could tell a lot of thought and care had been taken to create the perfect menu. The best part for us though was the staff. Every single member we encountered went above and beyond to ensure we had the perfect holiday. From the warm reception, to great sightseeing advice and the attentive service from the bar staff. Our trip was in celebration of our anniversary and the team went out of their way to ensure our trip was magical. A wonderful hotel, in a great location that more than deserves it’s five stars.
