Sant Alphio Garden Hotel & Spa

Wow! What a lovely hotel for our family holiday in Sicily. The room was large and comfortable. I slept really well. We were half board and not disappointed. The breakfast provided a huge variety of Italian breads, meat, cheese, eggs, fruit, sweet pastries and cereals catering for all tastes. The dinner was 3 courses plus bread. There were many choices and I opted for the fish most evenings and it really was delicious and large portioned compared to UK. I was pleasantly surprised! The hotel offers everything you could want from a 4* hotel plus more. It has a lovely, deep pool and plenty of sunbeds, it is close to the beach and local shops and can easily go on trips to Mount Etna, Taormina etc. The service we received was brilliant both at reception - thank you to Guiseppe and Valentina - always amazingly helpful and friendly . The waiting staff were attentive and kind - thank you to Mohamed, Luca and team for their excellent service. It was lovely to see the hotel owner joining guests for dinner. Again, a lovely gentleman. Only recommendation I would make is to offer a couple of evenings of music by the pool as I think it would make a magnificent hotel a little more amazing than it already is. Thank you so much for a brilliant holiday in an amazing and beautiful country of Sicily. I highly recommend this hotel and can’t wait til my family and I return! xx

Check your room before asap room 221 a brick wall view!!! Which had to be shared with three other unfortunate guest rooms. Who used our chairs ! I am Vegetarian and was given food ‘vegetarian option’ with chopped meat with the peas!!! Words fail me!

Beautiful hotel, great natural pool which was ideal for my baby as she has sensitive skin to salt water, amazing resteraunt staff especially dino - he was fantastic with our 1 yo! Only complaint would be reception could be more friendly and informative! Overall such a great balance of city break and holiday! 10-15 min walk to bus stop for the bus to Taormina and AMAZING resteraunts nearby! I would defo go back!

Be prepared to be gaslighted in case you need *anything* from the reception. Also make sure to call the hotel before booking, in order to ensure you will actually get the room you paid for. We casually heard the phrase “the room you booked is not available”, as we proceeded to enter our “new” room with two single beds. Our calm and polite questions about a room change when other guests would leave, was treated as a nuisance. Any questions about logistics are also vaguely and hastily answered. Finally at the pool, as we talked to other guests, we learned we were not the only ones who got this type of impolite treatment. So be prepared.

We have just returned from sicily having stayed in the hotel for 4 nights. At first we were quite reluctant since we expected a buffet style evening meal, but recieved silver service (which we found quite intense) the buffet breakfast was pleasant and much more relaxed, which created a better atmosphere. The room was lovely, and had beautiful views. It was clean and tidy, and the staff were very helpful. We were disappointed that we couldn't pay for drinks, instead everything was charged to the room, making budgeting an issue. We used the local supermarket to purchase drinks and snacks as the prices in the hotel were just too expensive. The outdoor pool area was nice and chilled, but it was €15 to hire a lounger on the private beach, so that didn't happen. Overall a good trip, but not enough entertainment.

Just returned from a fantastic holiday at this lovely hotel. The breakfast was a good choice of pastries, cold meat and cheese, fruit and yogurt and there was a very good coffee machine. We were half board and every evening there was a good choice of 3 courses - all very tasty and a good sized portion. The waiting staff are lovely - particular mention to Ketty and Bernadette who were very helpful and friendly. The rooms are very good, with air conditioning and a small fridge. The pool area is perfect, with plenty of sun loungers. Location is also very good - just a few minutes walk to the beach, supermarket and bars and cafe and also not too far to the bus station to get buses to nearby places. All in all, one of the best hotels we have been to.

We Had a wonderful holiday here at the Sant alphio hotel! The hotel is clean, beautiful and spacious. Pool area is stunning with loads of sun loungers and a poolside bar/restaurant area. AC was strong and refreshing which was just what we needed on a hot day. Breakfast was great- these comments about ‘no choice’ at breakfast are, in my opinion, completely false. It was what you would expect from a four star Italian hotel, with pastries, good coffee, fruit and meat. The dinner was superb, faultless and the service was beyond brilliant. There are also plenty restaurants nearby but the hotel meals were a lot better and good value. Our room was big, spotless and had large drawers and a wardrobe for storage. Balcony had an awesome view of mount Etna. Didn’t use the spa but it looked fantastic and offered lots of services and treatments. The hotel lobby has a bar which served a range of great drinks. We didn’t want to leave and I recommend highly to travellers!

The worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at!!!!, on arrival the hotel seems to be nice and modern which is very deciving, the rooms are bad extremely bad, the ac doesn’t hardly work so in the hight of summer we slept in a room that was about, there is zero soundproofing you will hear people walking past your room constantly and flushing toilets, no tea or coffee, the room was dusty, the breakfast is shocking only pastries and instant coffee, no fresh drinks, party until 1am, we paid £300 to not sleep, or eat, warning don’t waste your money, the staff won’t care either if you complain, they have your money so it’s not their problem anymore. Also not enough sunbeds, walked down to the beach that they advertise and got told we need to get towels from the hotel (nobody told us) and it’s 15euros for sunbeds. I honestly can’t think of anything good about this hotel, DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!

What a lovely hotel. Arrived really late due to Etna erupting. All the other flights got cancelled but Jet2 got us there in the end. Lady on reception was so great when we finally arrived - just gave us our keys - no paperwork. They’d left us a meal in the dining hall. The nicest welcome after such an awful delay. Pool is great and loungers are only busy on Saturdays and Sundays. Private beach is great. Went 10 days half board and the dinner is excellent with fantastic service. Can’t recommend the evening meal enough. None of us wanted to leave.
