We received great service during our stay in Quebec City. Two roomy rooms for our two families. The kids loved the recreation areas: darts, foosball, billiards, TV room. The adults appreciated the friendly service, from the booking process to our actual stay. We could put our food in the refrigerator, re-freeze our ice packs which is very handy when you’re on a family road trip. Quebec City did not disappoint and we all enjoyed our stay very much. The Auberge is right in the old city so you can walk everywhere.

Location is very very convenient. There are buses to go to Old Quebec Town. Staff are helpful and friendly and even helped to change money for us to take the bus as a trip cost $3.75. The Bus Captain will not refund the balance, hence saved me a lot of money as I didn't have any loose change. Breakfast is good but no change in variety for the 2 nights' stay. Room is big but a little dim. I especially like the toilet design. The shower and bath are separated from the vanity basin
We're five minutes from Quebec City Jean-Lesage Airport (YQB), A-40, and A-73. Restaurants and a movie theater are within one kilometer. Companies at Technology Park, Olympus, and Glaxo Smith Kline are only four kilometers away. The Aquarium of Quebec and Laurier Quebec Mall are seven kilometers from us. Enjoy our indoor pool. Parking, breakfast, and WiFi are free.

The arrival at the hotel started badly with a young receptionist full of germs she kept spreading in her tissue and around (as if we did not just get out of a pandemic that showed us how far any virus can travel) and she started laughing at me in French (assuming that I do not speak over 10 languages including French) saying that I want a room taken by another customer: how rude of her to assume that. The older manager thankfully intervened and the room we checked in via the app was given to us, explaining to the manager, however sick from the road I was, that we did not want something extraordinary: - the room had the lines of the newly built hotels we stayed in the USA and just like in the USA, this room proved to have poor insulation between rooms, slamming doors and the trepidation noises on the hallways to make stuff vibrate in the room. Thankfully everything stopped soon after 10pm and we had a good night sleep only disturbed by the construction next door the following morning, however quiet those people were trying to operate their machinery - parking at the back of the hotel is safe and thankfully Google satellite helped us immensely with travelling to and from Quebec City trying to avoid the major road works happening just about everywhere - the hotel is located near a major shopping area and a Walmart great with icecreams and drinks we always like having - breakfast at the hotel included warm items and it was varied although people kept taking multiple tables to sit and talk: I guess the lower floors were rather busy since we hardly heard any talk up our floor - the manager was kind in thinking of sending a warm up gift, although I wish the young female receptionist would receive further training and stopped assuming things she wanted to assume about customers who effectively pay her salary

Stayed here for 3 nights whilst visiting old quebec. If you can manage an easy 10 minute drive into old quebec, this place is ideally located. In a quiet, nice, clean neighborhood it has great facilities to hand. There are gas station, Tim's and local store within walking distance, and lots iv great restaurants nearby. The rooms are spacious and clean and quiet....I got the impression we were the only one in there! Downsides....the staff were somewhat matter of fact at reception, no info about spa, Cafe etc, just here's your keys, sign here. We stayed in what looks to be a new addition to the hotel and the elevator can only be described as the slowest in Canada, I get it, it's a disabled use friendly one, but be prepared to wait for it! The stairs are not an option when you have heavy suitcases.

Arriving at Loulou's is like coming home. André greets us with his boisterous ”Bonjour,” and we are immediately into a lively conversation. We regularly stop at Loulou's to spend a day in Old Quebec: buskers, crêpes, the boardwalk... Charny itself is such a find example of an old Quebec village, just walking those streets is fun (or we go over to view the falls). I particularly like the enormity of the old church.

OONG JesslynBest hotel ever. No worries about food, both streets filled with cuisine to choose from. Very chill hotel, laundry, gym room, best amenities, best part they even provided oven-mini pantry with washing sink. Impressed the toilet facilities from basin to wall tiles and flooring, everything were so fine and well designed. Amazingly detailed I can’t help not to take photos!! Love the decor was surprised by the ambiance along lift to your hotel room. Highly recommended and will definitely come back again.
Wonderful stay - the property is as charming as it is convenient. We had the studio with kitchen on the ground floor. The back door opened right to our private parking space so it was really easy to get around. Everything was spotless and well appointed. We checked out the terrace but of course it was cold and covered in snow. It’s sure to be wonderful during warmer months. The guest portal is very helpful. This was our first visit to Quebec City and our son’s first visit out of the US - this made a terrific first impression! There are restaurants and shops up and down the street. We would definitely book again in the future. Thanks especially to Jade, who was consistently patient with my questions!
PPengguna TetamuOverall good stay. It's a self service hotel, which wasn't clear on the hotels description, upon arrival I didn't have the self-checkin instructions but I called the hotel number and they were quick to send me an email and even allow me to check-in earlier. Check-out was also really easy and I was even able to check-out later too.
Only downside was that there wasn't an option for breakfast as it states on the hotel description. It would've been great if there were mugs or cups in the room and a plus if there was also a selection of teas as complementary. There was no where nearby that I could get a bottle of water or a hot drink, so it'd have been nice to have something in the room.
Lastly for any light sleepers - the building is not sound proof so you can easily hear other guests talking in the corridor or going up the stairs etc.
Other than that good stay overall - thank you Auberge la Chouette
KKathy_R-PhillyI totally enjoyed my 11 night stay here at Le Chateau de Pierre in May 2024. The location is fantastic. I was able to walk everywhere, even with a broken foot. However, there is a hill to reach the hotel & there is no elevator with it being a historic building. There’s also a lip you need to walk over for the 2 doors to get in the building. The room was larger than I expected; the bathroom was a little snug, not a complaint, just info for others. The furnishings are quaint. The bed was very comfortable. The WiFi was excellent. The hallways are adorable. I was apprehensive with no staff being here but found the check-in/-out process to be simple & non-problemic. The pre-visit communication from the staff is excellent. I didn’t need to contact them at all during my stay. The area is very quiet. Obviously, the hotel is only as quiet as the other guests allow it to be, which varied during my staff. People need to remember sounds do carry in a “house” like this. The cleaning staff was very quiet & thorough. Yay! The Kitchen in the basement with a full-sized fridge, microwave , range/oven is a nice bonus. It’s fully stocked with utensils, dishes, cups, spices, tea/coffee & pots/pans. There are extra toiletries (shampoo, bar soap, shower gel & sometimes hand lotion) as well as towels. There is a small fridge & coffee maker in the room. I would definitely recommend this hotel & stay here again.
My husband and I stayed here as an add on to a trip further away. We had an emergency and had to cancel the remaining part of the trip but missed the cancel time. I hate to waste money so we went anyways. TMI WARNING!! We live roughly 6.5 hours from Quebec City. We drove this with a stop or two. I am of the belief that I will wait until almost doomsday if it means I don’t use a public toilet. That is me, heavily into the, yuck no thanks, category. Well old me is now on strong medications for a non communicable, my body hates me, condition. These medications go from zero to run in my GI tract and after roughly 7 hours in the car we arrived to the hotel. I was feeling ill and tired and really needed to get to the room. The nice girl at the desk reminded me of the 3:00 check in time. It was currently 2:46 or so. I asked her if an early check is was not possible then told her I would wait outside about 10 more minutes. After the longest 10 minutes we checked in and I found the room had a heated bidet, SCORE! Otherwise, it’s a lovely hotel in a very nice spot. Bed was quite hard in room 222 and our room didn’t have towels when we checked in. They brought us a few and that was fine. The mini toiletries were missed in the clean up, they were not full. I’m a bit of a clean freak and saw nothing that concerned me. Seemed nice and clean. Broken curtains should be replaced for full coverage since people below can see in the room. No elevator, quite steep stairs so be ready to climb if on the top floor like we were. One nitpick would be the mini split was confusing to run for us as we are not familiar with them. Didn’t figure out the ac properly until we were leaving. Requested a late check out of 1:00, usual time is 11:00am. They said no to 1 but yes to noon. Would definitely stay again in spite of the mini emergency and little missed things. Great close area right outside where you want to see, if it’s Old Quebec. :!
JJenny Kim1I liked the hotel location and facilities. The indoor pool was amazing and the live stage was so good. I would definitely visit here again and book the terrace view next time.
However, there are few things that I was very dissapointed.
The room was not managed well. There are white things are around the floors (it looks like painting or wall paper. I asked to change the room, but the new room has the same problem).
Hair dryer was phsically broken and not working.
Heater is not working and when I turn on, it is very noisy.
There was a party when we stayed and it was very noisy until almost 1 pm. We called at 12:30 and the reception said they send a security. However, it was still noisy after 30 mins).
AAroundtheworldwithTIGRESSCampus residence turned hostel for the summer. Room is small but clean and mostly comfortable although there is no air con. There is only one sink in the shared bathroom on each wing of each floor but there are individual sinks in each room. Location is close to public transport (bus) but there is a small walking distance from the bus stop. 10 minutes walk away from Metro (Canadian chain grocery store) and shopping mall with customer service that speaks English (most people in the area speak limited English). Overall an enjoyable stay comparable to the price.
