This is a very good choice for younger travellers who are fit and well. I have some reservations for older travellers which I will detail below. We found the cottages easily enough although I thought they could be better signposted. The sign at the entrance to the street points in the wrong direction which flummoxed us at first. Our studio is very comfortable and well-provisioned, with a great view of the nearby mountains. We appreciated the washing machine and clothes dryer. We enjoyed being away from the hurley-burley of the ever-growing Queenstown, yet close enough to enjoy all the local attractions. I didn’t find the wi-fi the best, sometimes it would choke on particular sites. Neither frypan is in particularly good condition. Another problem is that the kitchen is poorly designed - too small, with not enough bench space. There is no metal draining board and no drainage rack, and drainage is poor. The biggest problem is the microwave which is installed too high. A person my height (5’ 6”) cannot see the display panel and has trouble moving containers into and out of it, which is unsafe. It should be relocated lower down.As for older, less mobile travellers, some improvements would be of value. There is a fairly rough path from the carpark to the unit. This could be improved by a proper asphalt or concrete path. The entrance is elevated on a deck but you need to navigate stairs to get up to it, which can be difficult with a suitcase. A ramp would be better. Overall though I think this is a good option for most travellers.
