Hotel terbaik di Ragusa

I know there are many 5 star reviews for this hotel but we were a bit disappointed. We’d split our week between 2 centres in Sicily so this hotel had some tough competition. We found this hotel to be ‘fine’ - the room was clean and the bed comfortable, it was however a little small and being on the lowest level felt a bit like living in a cave! The hotel is trying to be more ‘eco’ so no separate soaps/shampoo instead they provide a liquid soap dispenser in the shower and beside the sink - so far so okay. Towel washing is not done daily in an attempt to reduce use of water etc. we have no issues with this. The trouble with this hotel for us is that it has no heart/ sense of community being spread over 6 floors in a maze of a layout within old buildings. It doesn’t feel like an old building inside however as the conversion to a hotel has lead to the loss of any old character the building had which is a shame. The only communal area is the breakfast serving/ terrace area. We were greeted by one member of staff asking for our room number but then we essentially had to find ourselves a table and help ourselves to the buffet. Eventually we were offered a cappuccino or espresso but not until we had already poured ourselves a coffee from the hot plate jug on the buffet. Breakfast had an extensive array of options catering to the various tastes of guests but compared to the other hotel we’d been staying in there was very limited fresh fruit options which was surprising as there was such an abundance of nectarines, grapes, strawberries and other fruits on the market stalls locally. All in all we agreed this hotel felt like a conference hotel- not really engaging with the guests to make an effort to give good customer service but just going through the motions.

Absolutely top notch. My husband and I first came to Ragusa 12 years ago. Much has changed but thankfully much has stayed the same in the town. We were happy to discover Itria Palace when we were planning our itinerary. We stayed in a family room that consisted of two rooms, three beds and two showers. The room was accessible by stairs or lift. It was quiet, clean, super comfortable bed and pillows with very cold air conditioning. Breakfast in the morning was delightful featuring plenty of the usual Italian standards but also included local offerings which were delicious. A member of staff was on hand to prepare caffe and cappuccino for guests. We will absolutely return!

L'hotel si trova lungo la strada di collegamento tra Ragusa e Marina di Ragusa da cui dista circa 12 km. Per spostarsi, quindi, bisogna disporre necessariamente di un veicolo. La struttura è molto carina, con una grande piscina, la palestra, ristorante e bar. Dispone di ampi spazi, tra cui anche un anfiteatro per spettacoli ed un ampio parcheggio interno gratuito. Le camere sono spaziose con affaccio sulla piscina (la nostra) ed il letto comodissimo con topper. Tv 42” ed aria condizionata regolabile dagli ospiti. C'è anche un piccolo frigo con due bottigliette di acqua gratuite e, nel bagno, i soliti accessori. Veramente fantastico il buffet per la colazione soprattutto per chi (come noi) gradisce il dolce e la frutta la mattina. Abbiamo trovato, infatti, diverse specialità di dolci con crema ed alla mandorla e frutta di diversi generi. In conclusione, un ottimo soggiorno anche se solo per una notte ma ci sarebbe piaciuto poter rimanere per una settimana. Sconsigliato per chi non ha la macchina e viaggia con i mezzi pubblici.

Ottima posizione e rapporto qualità prezzo buono. Personale gentile e accogliente. Camera pulita e spaziosa. Possibilità di parcheggio nei pressi dell'hotel e, nel caso non si trovasse posto, anche a pagamento. Colazione nella norma. Presente il ristorante. Se si è stanchi è comodo poter cenare in hotel ma è da migliorare l'offerta del ristorante che sembra più orientata nel soddisfare le esigenze di gruppi o comitive piuttosto che di singoli clienti. Comunque struttura consigliatissima.

Colazione sufficiente, posizione periferica, tranquilla ma non molto comoda e strategica. Check-in tramite WhatsApp perchè non c'era nessuno in reception (a metà mattina) con ritiro card e chiavi in modo autonomo (in un ”casellario” a disposizione di tutti). Gli ultimi 2 giorni (su 4 di pernottamento) non è stata rassettata la camera (siamo rimasti senza asciugamani da bagno e carta igienica), con varie giustificazioni assurde da parte dell'addetta. Assistenza ”pubblicizzata” 24h su 24, 7 giorni su 7 inesistente (ho lasciato un messaggio in segreteria telefonica ma non ho avuto risposta). Wi-Fi non andava ma non era una mia priorità... Camera molto calda (ho dovuto lasciare il condizione acceso 24/24h). Peccato! Un consiglio al gestore di questo Residence: uno STAFF di qualità è una cosa molto importante.

Used this place as a base for touring the hill towns of South East Sicily. We found it well located to get to Scicli, Modica and of course Ragusa. All within 20 minutes drive. We arrived late on a Sunday and helpful lady on reception gave us great recommendation. Lovely big room, spacious parking area and big plot to roam. Inviting swimming pool with lots of loungers - bit too cold to use in May though. Poppies and wildflowers abound the grounds. Environmentally conscious theme. Local products well in evidence at breakfast. Good choice of food and great fresh blood orange juice! Overall incredible value. Would come back!

What can I say about Modica Boutique Hotel? I LOVED IT! LOCATION: GREAT! Easy to find, surrounded by many shops and restaurants. PARKING: Free Parking in a lock-up garage; private and very safe, with lift connected straight to Hotel. ROOM (Superior): Spacious, Modern, Very clean, Very comfy bed, Cozy linen, State of the art Shower, Relaxation at it's best! BREAKFAST: Spoiled for choice, everything fresh and delicious. Buffet Breakfast 'a la grande'! WATER MACHINE ON EACH FLOOR: Empty bottles provided for free cold or room temperature Natural and Sparkling Water HOTEL RESTAURANT: We had one dinner. Limited choice, however the food was cooked to perfect, presented well and we loved it. Very reasonably priced. STAFF: Polite, courteous, professional, and always with a smile. I highly recommend Modica Boutique Hotel, especially for those travelling with their car by ferry to Pozzallo, as it is only 20min drive. You will not regret it. Lovely well presented hotel, centrally located, helpful staff. While only spending one night there was very impressed with this property. Inclusions better than other properties. Breakfast buffet catered to all tastes. Even though was in centre of the town, and it was a Saturday night, quiet and relaxing ambience.
