Hotel di Riomaggiore

Hotel Argentina is the best! We had a beautiful room with a balcony overlooking Riomaggiore and view of the Gulf of Genoa. The lovely hostess made homemade breakfast bread which was delicious! I left my raincoat and hoodie in their lobby on the last day of our visit and the staff found my clothing and mailed back to me! I was impressed with the friendliness and professionalism of the hotel staff and owners. The room was clean, beds were comfortable and strong shower in the renovated bathroom. We were glad that the nearby elevator near the church was working so the climb back and forth town was doable. The rates are reasonable and this hotel is in a great location for the money.

Scorci Di Mare, Riomaggiore 1. Location: picture perfect with Room is on the cliff. I am sure this room is in Riomaggiore postcard. A few stairs to the room. Office is not on site and more stairs to get up there. Better call before arriving to skip these stairs with heavy luggage. Room condition as seen in the ads. Waterfront view. Near Boat deck that the sound of the wave bashing to the cliff was very attractive. Price was reasonable for the breath-taking view and short walk to the train station. 2. Service: Owner Micky is very friendly and professional. He outlined the best views spots and restaurants. He offered in-room a bottle of wine and snacks. 3. Room: Traditional tidy but enough storage. Bed/Pillows/Mattress: super comfortable. 4. Bathroom: Tiny bathroom as expected for the original structure in an old town. 5. Cleanliness: super 6. Noise: ocean noise that I slept through as in heaven In conclusion staying in Scorci Di Mare enhanced my sweet experiences with Italy country and with Italian hospitality.

Kamers en badkamer zijn zeer proper maar een beetje gedateerd. Ook de buitenkant van het hotel kan een opfrisbeurt gebruiken. Ontbijt was goed en uitgebreid genoeg,zeker naar Italiaanse normen. Personeel aan het onthaal en eetruimte was zeer vriendelijk en behulpzaam en stond ons in zowel Engels als Frans te woord. Goede en stabiele wifi: 60Mbps Enige en grootste nadeel: dunne muren dus je kon mensen op de gang en in de kamer naast je horen, alsof ze ook in jouw kamer zaten...geluidsisolatie liet dus de wensen over. Maar al bij al goed hotel om de buurt te verkennen: Cinque Terre, Pisa, Lucca,... In de buurt van het hotel is echter weinig te beleven maar voordeel is dat het een rustige omgeving is (buiten het lawaai van de andere gasten:) )

Lovely and place in a great town. The staff is so friendly, the room was very nice and clean and cool. The view was incredible, the breakfast was great. It’s a very nice little town and if you’re visiting cinque terre this is a great place to get away from the crowds of tourists. The food in this town is very very good. The hotel is up on the hill but easy to get to by taxi or bus.

We so much enjoyed our stay! After a little issue finding the place (we came by car and weren't sure where to park. Most folks come by train and don't have an issue) we were warmly greeted by Tatyana and Paulo and assisted with parking and our luggage. (cell signal is spotty, so get as much detailed information beforehand as possible). Our room was not large, but clean. Simply appointed, there was bottled water, candy, and a bottle of sparkling wine for our sunset toast on the balcony upstairs. The house was not full of guests, though the other family there was of no disturbance to us, and we all enjoyed the balcony together at times. While this is a simple, no-fuss accommodation, the views and hospitality make up for any amenity you may feel it lacks. Remember, you're in the middle of a quaint village, living amongst people who have lived in this village for decades. Respect to them, and an attitude of simple living, will ensure your time here is pleasurable. We opted for the breakfast, and were not disappointed. Tatyana served a traditional fare and plenty of hot coffee and juice. We were free to come and go at will, and leave our bags on check-out day until we were ready to leave the town. We would definitely return for another visit at Arpaiu. (There are many stairs and hills to climb. Ability to climb MUST be taken into consideration before booking)
