Villa Nicolli Romantic Resort - Adults Only

Cannot fault this hotel at all - everything was perfect from the super efficient, friendly staff to the beautiful room. We were surprised and delighted to receive a room upgrade and were given the most beautiful suite. Gorgeous neutral tones, silk stripe fabric on the walls - it was classy and elegant. The food was fabulous and delicious.

Stayed for a week in September . The hotel is in a nice quiet location but within 10 mins walk of the centre of Riva. We were very pleased with the hotel, staff were really helpful ( especially Ivana on the front desk who speaks excellent English) . The breakfast is exceptional with a great choice from the table and you’re also able to choose whatever types of egg you like freshly cooked . The pool area is very quiet and I would suggest it’s actually frowned upon to be putting towels on beds to reserve them. There’s just no need. Just one point around the pool if you’re an avid sun fan - due to the surrounding mountains you do lose the sun quite early ( about 5 pm when we were there) The evening meals are four course and for gents it is a strict long trousers only rule which personally I don’t agree with. I’m sure a smart pair of shorts looks better than a pair of jeans in most cases but hey- them’s the rules! Whilst the food was good in the evening we personally liked to mix it up a little and ate out in the town on quite a few occasions, mainly because it was a nice atmosphere. In short Riva is beautiful and the Villa Nicolli is a great base to explore it from.

The staff at Villa Nicolli are super friendly and welcoming. The staff on the reception desk are so helpful and the restaurant staff very accommodating. The bed in the room we had was so comfortable - I actually slept and I have insomnia! We couldn’t have loved our stay any more. Truly grateful.

Thank you for a fantastic stay at your wonderful hotel. From the moment we arrived we were very well looked after. We arrived late but we were offered a lovely salad and dessert which was very much appreciated after a long journey. The rooms were very clean and had everything we needed and were cleaned every day.. Breakfast was very good with a lot of choice, including eggs and bacon. The dinner was perfect. All the staff were very attentive, accommodating and friendly. Lovely pool area with many sun loungers and shaded grass area if needed. The indoor pool was a bonus especially on one rainy day we had. Thank you all for a wonderful stay. One of the best hotels we have ever stayed in. We would thoroughly recommend this hotel to friends and family. Hope to see you again in the future.

We visited lake Garda and Riva for the first time & chose this lovely hotel as it was adults only and seemed somewhere special that we would celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary. We were not disappointed it was lovely we had a junior suite room 214 and stayed 4 nights half board. There are designated seats in the breakfast room and main restaurant which we had our evening meal & thought this was very well organised & a great idea. Ignazio ran this and was welcoming and kind. You pay for wine and water on your bill as you check out and this was wine we like merlot 36 euros and bottle water 4.5 euro. Other reviews said you can get cheaper in town but we thought acceptable to have the wine we like with our evening meal Evening meal consisted of 4 courses including desert and you pick one from each section if you want. They are small portions so recommend all 4 but we enjoyed and was satisfied. Some dishes were delicious a couple of dishes not to our taste but they did offer to swap. We loved the ambiance and relaxation of the restaurant and lovely lounge afterwards. It is a well maintained hotel and the outdoor pool is beautiful and relaxing after a day climbing mountains. We only tried the indoor pool once when it was cloudy and that was immaculately clean and a great spa. We missed out trying sauna and steam room upstairs all these are inclusive of your hotel you just pay for treatments. We loved Villa Nicolli & would return for sure.

My fiancée and I stayed at Villa Nicolli Romantic Resort between the dates of 19-26th June. I’ll start with the positives & move onto where we think improvements could be made. It’s worth noting we booked as a package through TUI. Upon arrival the hotel staff were welcoming & handed us a letter detailing most things we needed to know. We checked in around midday & our room was ready for us. We booked a standard room with balcony (only available option through TUI), I liked the decor although I have seen some negative comments on the brown carpets. There is enough storage space for clothes but nothing for suitcases. The bathroom is small & very dated, my fiancée is 6 foot 3, the shower was a squeeze for him. The room was very clean, tea & coffee making facilities are provided but no milk. I learned on day 5 they keep the creamer behind the front desk. There is a mini bar in the room but it’s overpriced, you CANNOT use this as a fridge, your things are removed when housekeeping come round. We booked on a half board basis so breakfast & dinner were provided. The maitre Ignacio is extremely professional and cannot do enough for you, his friendly nature & willingness to help stood out. I didn’t enjoy one of my courses one evening, he spotted this & immediately came over with his recommendation, changing my dish with no fuss. Dinner is 5 courses, the food is exquisite & the service is 5*. Water is not free though, please be aware of that as when you check out your water bill alone will be around €30. All guests have their own tables at breakfast & dinner throughout their stay, I liked this touch. Breakfast was continental with the option of adding eggs and bacon. There was plenty of choice & we enjoyed it every day. One day there was a chocolate fountain & Prosecco. The pool is a small area with sunbeds around it & a few more in the garden. It’s a nice, well kept area & feels about right for the size of the hotel. Guests don’t reserve beds & on the good weather days people don’t tend to stay on them all day. The outdoor bar wasn’t open but there was a waiter service. Unfortunately for us the weather was bad for 5 out of the 7 days we were there. This didn’t leave us with much to do. The hotel seem to cater for more mature guests, we are in our 30’s/40’s & felt like we were mostly stared at & judged by the vast majority of guests- not the hotels fault but worth noting if you are young or young ish. We were bored, there are no English tv channels & you can only connect your phone to the hotels TV if it’s a Samsung. Overall we were satisfied with the hotel, unfortunately its was the weather that well and truly ruined our holiday. The staff do try their best for you. If you want to spa treatments just check you are ok with the prices before you book. Here are a few suggestions of ours that could make it a more “romantic resort”. Soundproofing in rooms - I heard all our neighbours use the toilet, shower & much more. Privacy on balconies -
